      You must not deliver in the country. Just turn it on when you enter dark country roads

      You should be able to turn it on and off easily. Great for rural routes but I agree safety can be a concern in dangerous neighborhoods.

    Delivering to apartment buildings should be outlawed. They’re a huge waste of time because it’s takes too damn long to deliver to them

    One thing amazon really needs to fix is the geofence it need to be taken off it waist so much time and sometimes unreliable in some cases

    I did my first early bird delivery in rural area. It was dark and delivering was interesting

    is there any apps i can use that will let me check where my block is delivering. i hate how theres very little transparency. i had to drive 32 miles from the warehouse once and then it was 40 miles back to my house after all the stops. complete bs.

    I don’t want to be a target. I never want to look like I’m delivering. Too many shifts in bad neighborhoods. I just do notify of arrival text

      My conceal handgun has helped me more than these Amazon safety features.
      Twice I had to pull it out, a solo dude with a knife and another time with a group of teens.
      Never used it, pointing it at their face tend to ward them off.

      I carry a stun gun and a pepper spray with me, but I’m mostly worried about dogs when I deliver to the country. Lol. Totally get not wanting to be a target, though, because people can be crazy. 😳

  • @KrystleLovesHorror

    I got to my block 30 minutes early, so this is perfect to watch while I wait. 😁👍 I bought “Delivery Driver” magnets to put on my car, but then my husband, who is a cop, told me not to use them because thieves may follow me. 👀 This is only my 3rd block, so does anyone use these types of magnets, or do you have the same mentality of not wanting to stick out?

    • @phiamae1339
      @phiamae1339 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I have the same mentality of not wanting to stick out. I see more drivers without them than with them. I think it's a good idea for overnight blocks in rural areas for the drivers safety.
      I know I always think "who is that in my driveway" so I can only imagine what other people think and/or do.
      Today I had a customer's husband Walk up to my car with a nasty attitude until he realized I was there to deliver so yeah, I say it depends on the area. I live in the country 😂

    • @KrystleLovesHorror
      @KrystleLovesHorror 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@phiamae1339 Ohhhh, you make an excellent point! I live in the city, so if I see someone pull into my driveway I figure it’s a delivery person or someone lost. 😂 But I do deliver in the boonies sometimes, so maybe I should start carrying the magnets to use on those days because those driveways are loooong and more potential for gun-yielding folks. 😆

    Try delivering at 3 am in the country where everyone has a gun and neighbors live far apart

  • @WookieSenshi
    @WookieSenshi 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

    Yeah this update is all useless imo. They should do something worth a damn like bring back Amazon Restaurants on Instant Offers. That was one of the best (if not the best) paying platforms for on demand food delivery.

    Amazon hides up front information which is a safety issue. Too many stops too many penalties if you get locked out of apartment complexes. I expect pay to drive to the warehouses.

    Is sort of damned if you do damned if you don't if you don't have any branding a customer won't know who you are if you do have branding thieves will know who you are and they may follow you

    • @traviskitteh

      Or it might make you a target for people looking to steal Amazon packages. Further still, it only protects you from "customer confusion."

      I would probably turn them on if I'm delivering rural and only at the delivery location. Not a perfect solution but at least keeps you visible when you need to be

    - With the higher visibility things, at least you can turn those on or off. So I'd probably wait to turn mine on until i was on someone's property. Or approaching
    -in general, Amazon could fix this junk by literally just telling the customer. People still have no idea flex is a thing. Why weren't they informing customers to begin with? I think many of the apps avoid doing this intentionally. Like if i had to choose between some rando with hardly any accountability and an employee trained and doing this as a full time job, om gonna choose the latter. Same with delivery apps not saying the drivers make like 75% of their income from the customer paying them. Seriously... Why are we not just stealing all the customers 😂
    Anyway, my point is they avoid customer education on purpose if its something that is faux pas or makes the company look less legit.
