$150 cash advance on pay on the Uber pro card comes in handy at times. At Diamond level it is $150 compared to $50 for lowest level. All you have to do is make Diamond one time and it doesn’t go back down when your acceptance rate brings you back to blue. You have to use the $150 cash advance while you are a diamond driver to lock it in place. Been blue driver for a while now and that cash advance and the upside gas discount on the pro card are the only benefits I get.

Very helpful thank you, i been an Uber driver since 2014, have an 07 vehicle and this year Uber raised the year to 2008 for car to be eligible to do UberX and UberXL, i'm trying to get a new car but in the mean time i'm gonna gave to do Uber Eats and i only did UE back when it first started and a few times during the pandemic, so this video was pretty helpful, again thank you.
I am a fairly new UE driver (3 weeks). My big question about acceptance rate is: When a offer comes up and you don't do anything and it times out, is that considered a decline? Also, if I hit the top right corner of a request (the X), does this constitute a decline? I rarely hit the DECLINE button, but my acceptance rate is 33%. I have enough points to go from PRO to GOLD, but I can't because my acceptance rate is below 70%. Thank you for the info and I love your videos.
This was helpful, as I tend to focus on improving my Acceptance Rate to get to Uber Pro. After seeing this, I now feel better about being more judicious about accepting orders since the Acceptance Rate really doesn't matter.

Exact opposite to what u said down in south florida. I'm a Diamond with 98% satisfaction and a decent acceptance. About 3 months ago, I had 2 orders($19). The 1st drop was 5 miles and paid .47 then 2nd paid $4 but had nearly a $15 tip. So no base pay or anything like that here. No quest to do for eats. Just the $1.50 promo that's 15 miles+ from where I live and they typically last 1-2 hours. Went out today and denied 6 straight orders. $4.22 for 17 miles was the 1st and $1.51 for 4.2 miles was the last
Just started Uber eats in Miami and made $50 in 4.5 hrs at night. Definately not good. Are you still fo Uber Eats. Any tips for Miami area to do better or get better orders?
Started driving for Uber eats back when it was still Postmates, but after watching this it’s making me consider switching to DoorDash for better incentives. Have any Uber eats drivers out there done the same thing?
It doesn't show the surges on the map like that for me. Anyone else? It only shows a small grey area of where orders are supposedly coming in a lot at that current time. Also, they've stopped including promotions for UE for the past 6 months, only for rides they do.
You only get the surge orange colors when you have rides turned on. I only have connect and deliveries turned on and only see the gray circles as well.
@@katydidnt3906I'm in San Antonio, TX. I wonder if the orange and red indicate an even busier area even more busy than the gray and black I see on my map. ???
I will say tips are way better on DD vs Uber Eats in my area which is rural Augusta Ga area . The amount of times ive seen drive 8 miles for $2 is ridiculous. I have seen it at 85% AR and 15%AR. I honestly dont feel like AR is making a huge difference in either of these apps . I make more now cherry picking with an avg 15% AR than I did taking almost everything except the utterly ridiculous offers at 85% AR.
I have listened to several of your videos. We are in Lexington, Ky, and there is NEVER surge pay. Also, there has NEVER been any boost pay, or promotions, or bonuses. Check opportunities tab all the time. And have not seen quest offers.
UE is a great filler app these days; it went downhill so rapidly. I log on when I'm near a Target, CVS or Petsmart. Other than that I ain't havin it split my eardrm every 90 seconds with a $2.37 Popeyes going 14.3 miles 😆
You don’t seem to be taking into consideration the acceptance rate. Does gold or platinum, which requires a 85% acceptance rate really make a difference?
Acceptance rate does not matter in my experience, I was Platinum with a 15-20% acceptance rate, and my acceptance rate has been as low as 3% and I still do pretty well.
Same - acceptance rate is ue version of guilting you to take orders. Way more effective to just wait for good offers. The only thing that matters is cancels but only once you hit 5%
I need to know the tips. I’m new to this and I don’t like how UE will send you an add on and then afterwards lump the two offers into one instead of breaking them out. I feel like they might be cheating me 1-2$ at a time. They claim I can see the breakdown but I don’t see it.
The only way to see what the tip is, is to take single orders only. I took an order the other day from Arbys. Driving off the lot, i got a McDs order .3 of a mile away as an add a delivery. They ended by stacking the 2 together and i made 24 dollars for the 2 delivers. i knew the first order was 10 and change and the second was about the same, but it was a really crappy day with snow and sleet, so the customers added more tip at the end. you need to figure out what the base pay is on each order. in my area, it is NEVER under 2 dollars, unless you stack or add on. on that previous great 2 orders i just mentioned, the base pay was $3.61 combined and the tip was $20.22 combined.
I use Uber eats as a side hustle to supplement my income, what I like to do is look at the opportunities for the Walmart near me where you just park you put in your parking space number and they bring out the groceries, some days I’ll do two or three of those, which adds at least $50 to my day, in between I do the actual food delivery. So slow days like Monday and Tuesday, I’ll look to see what Walmart has to offer and then I plan my day from that. But I do like adding Walmart to my day it’s like my boost since I don’t get any boost in my area, Asbury Park New Jersey
I think I have been doing it wrong. I've been using a lot of gas driving around waiting for orders. Whats the more effective way to do this without wasting so much gas?
i came here for one purpose only 7:01. I would love to see that map before accepting an order. my request fill up the whole page. i would love to know how you guys do that. thanks.
For your example with Jersey Mikes, pay is NEVER that high in my market in Tampa unless there is a very large tip. Uber here would only offer about $1 base pay. The rest is all tips so I would not even think twice about accepting. My rule is $1 per mile min and $4 min pay. After 10000 trips that formula has worked well for me, If I waited for more then that I would sit all day with no trips. Agreed on drive through. They are almost never worth the rate late at night. Also I avoid Walmart trips because of excessive wait time.
I have noticed not long after the pandemic settled down, there was no more surge pay on Uber Eats orders. I generally do not do rides as the base pay and dollar per mile is not worth it, however in the past couple weeks I've started to notice significantly consistent surge pay on rides. I'll have Uber X and Uber Eats turned on and I'll notice that on some Uber Eats trips, I will get surgepay if picking up an order in surge zone. But I only noticed this happens if I have Uber X turned on, if I don't, there is absolutely no surge pay at all for Uber Eats. Don't know if this is done on purpose or glitch. However from a financial aspect it's been very good.
I do just UE, and never heard of surge pay. Pretty much 95% of the money paid from the offer is from the tip. Seems most people lately don't want to tip as the offers are from $1.60- $4. For that $4 you driving at least 8 miles.
I hate shop & pay. I get to a store I don't know and plus a lot of times the store doesn't have exactly what the customer wants. So I have to take time to call the customer, sometimes the customer doesn't answer (i've noticed that a lot). And I especially hate Wal-Mart with a passion. Their customer service stinks.
Sounds like prior who've figured out a workaround. They looked it up online and intentionally chose items that aren't in stock, probably getting a cut rate or partial refund for incomplete services.
Uber Eats company should push the customer on the App or mandate to pay drivers tips each orders . At least give tip at least $3 per delivery. It sucks !! and not easy to park and you got nothing !!
Here in San Antonio it seems that surge pay and boost are no longer available so now its only tips that make u $ and watch out for closed restaurants new policy just what rep stated didn't read it that uber cant compensate you for driving to a closed restaurant its absurd they need to fix that glitch and update business hours
Hello, i enjoy your videos. Its been at least year since i drove for Uber Eats and today I got my first order request buuuut. Instead of the accept button it displayed a Match Button and it definitely was not 30 seconds. I clicked the match button in about 10 seconds and I got a message that read another driver has already matched this order. Please explain
I’ve noticed when accepting boost the base it is lower than without boost. Never seen a Quest in the year I’ve been doing it. I’m in California so maybe we don’t get those things
Hey Mike any way you can explain or do a video about how the $22 per hour guarantee promotion works. I've been following the parameters that it says to follow but I'm not seeing any extra money being added to make up the difference if I don't hit the $22 for the hour. I tried to get with support but no luck just generic responses.

The best tip I can think of for doing Uber Eats is don't. I'm averaging less than minimum wage in the Tampa Bay area over the last 6 months. I drive 10-12 hours a day, 5-6 days a week. All I ever see anymore is orders paying $2-$3 for 20 minutes of driving. If it's paying any more than that, it was more than likely stolen by someone else already. So you just drive for a lousy $3 "compensation". When you factor in the price of gas and maintenance, you actually LOSE money. I can't wait for there to be a class action suit against Uber.
Do you know why I see statements that with Uber Eats you can deliver in any US market, but that is NOT the case. I'm in North Carolina and was told yesterday that I can only deliver in this state. To apply in another state will require losing my ability to work on my home turf. I explained the idea of traveling and working to no avail. Thoughts, Anyone?
Did 5200 deliveries last year for doordash all over the county and not once had to schedule...trying Uber eats and it's just not as good of income so looking for helpful tips but this is a lot of rambling. Ubers orders have been junk so I hit the x alot. Does declining effect anything like DD?
The most important tip is NEVER included... Here it is. You will be delivering to large apartment complexes again and again and again. You will drive to a GPS location. Many times, this will be 20 speed bumps from that apartment complex entry. Should you find, and often you will, that the gps pin is not entirely exact... will you walk to find the correct building, will you drive around, or will you drive back to the main entrance to read the apartment complex map key? Probably eventually you will find yourself doing all of them, often in the rain or snow, usually at night. Don't do any of them, ever. When you pull up to the main entrance of a mega-apt complex, STOP, get out of your vehicle and take a high resolution photo of the complex map key. File that photo under address and apt complex name. You will never be lost in the same apt complex again.
I wouldn't want to try to do this as a full time job or my main income... I have a normal 40hr job but I just want something I can do to make a little extra for a couple hours before/after work or on the weekends. I just signed up but I think I'm waiting on them to do the background check, anyone know how long that typically takes in canada??
I'm really trying to fix my acceptance rate, but Uber Eats still send the worse offers available. Every time I try to improve my rating, it ends worse than before. Does anyone have a tip or suggestion in this case? Thanks
@Arya108X it's no comparison...doordash is horrible compared to DD. Getting $468 on Thanksgiving is not possible on Doordash. They actually adjust the pay after deliveries on UE.
I am finally at 100% AR so I'm looking forward to what comes. But I was not impressed going from 58% to 100% AR. I have taken many long distance and no tip orders. I hope this helps... Russ
It all depends on your situation. i have 7 restaurants within a mile of me, so i do everything from home. i did 227 delivers the first month and averaged 8.32 per order. learn what your base pay is for your area. in my area, its 2 dollars, unless its a really slow day, i wont take anything under 5 dollars and it has to be a short distance. i pretty much turn on my phone around 7pm. i dont get any orders in the daytime, as thats when most people want to work. i have found the best time for me is between 1130pm to 5am. at times in the early morning hours, i have gotten the same order 5 times in a row. i love those because the price keeps going up. i am at 41 percent and i have no idea why its that high. they probably rate a little different when you are diamond driver. personally, i dont see any difference when my ar was 14 percent, from now.
I have a question about milage. Let's say I get an order that goes 9 miles away. From say, Burien WA to dowtown Seattle. When I get done delivering that order, and I don't want to drive around downtown picking up and delivering, do I count miles for tax purposes driven back to Burien. Another 9 miles?
It depends on the laws in your state. always save every receipt and get a good CPA. although i do accounting, im not a cpa or tax person. If you are using your car for 100% delivery, you are pretty much allowed to write off every expense. when it comes tax time for me this year, i will claim 80% percent, as i do use my car to go to sprint car races. i just take the miles i have driven to the races and subtract if from the overall miles, to come up with the percentage. my cpa cost me 125 a year but keep in mind, ive had my cpa for over 30 years.
I used to do DoorDash and it sucks now I do Uber Eats and it’s way better and pays more!

It doesn't show the surges on the map like that for me. Anyone else? It only shows a small grey area of where orders are supposedly coming in a lot at that current time. Also, they've stopped including promotions for UE for the past 6 months, only for rides they do.
I just get orange circles with a house symbol that’s supposed to indicate a busy area.
You only get the surge orange colors when you have rides turned on. I only have connect and deliveries turned on and only see the gray circles as well.
@@tjofgrnNo, I don't have rides turned on and I see the colours. Orange and red.
@@katydidnt3906I'm in San Antonio, TX. I wonder if the orange and red indicate an even busier area even more busy than the gray and black I see on my map. ???
I’ve always said I love UE. They have Boost+ in my area pretty much every single day. I’m in a small-med market in the Pacific Northwest. Thanks Mike!
Same PNW🌲🏔️ 😊
I will say tips are way better on DD vs Uber Eats in my area which is rural Augusta Ga area . The amount of times ive seen drive 8 miles for $2 is ridiculous. I have seen it at 85% AR and 15%AR. I honestly dont feel like AR is making a huge difference in either of these apps . I make more now cherry picking with an avg 15% AR than I did taking almost everything except the utterly ridiculous offers at 85% AR.
Hi Mike love your page a big fan the whole game changes when riding in New York because of the $29 per hour new law
😮 29. Dollars ..
Lucky u.. lol it's like $20 her or $22 a certain times here in Ohio..
I have listened to several of your videos. We are in Lexington, Ky, and there is NEVER surge pay. Also, there has NEVER been any boost pay, or promotions, or bonuses. Check opportunities tab all the time. And have not seen quest offers.
Same for me in Vancouver.
Same here in Southern Arizona. The "opportunities" are anything but. They're insults, and a waste of time and money.
Don’t see quest like those but I see boost+ pay that you have to sign up for. When I do see quest they aren’t consecutive.
Same I'm also new 😊
I did two quest 5 shop and pay orders, and get 20. A bit ago . I personally like Uber eats better than DD.
Good for you 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽💯 can't wait to do my side hustle 😊
I wouldn’t put ur city in the title Uber will score u on purpose by hiring more drivers
Love your channel bro keep up the Good work 💯
I think I have been doing it wrong. I've been using a lot of gas driving around waiting for orders. Whats the more effective way to do this without wasting so much gas?
Stay in and area shaded orders will come
I love no scheduled shifts
ok but is it added before the offer or after the offer? for the boost pay
Hi Mike I haven’t seen boost pay for deliveries in buy area in over a year! I only see it for rides.
i came here for one purpose only 7:01. I would love to see that map before accepting an order. my request fill up the whole page. i would love to know how you guys do that. thanks.
Can you do a video on how to get more orders for Uber Eats on a E bike?
Love Uber Eats for its flexibility. DD is way to restrictive, in my area anyway. UBER EATS RULES !
I get a ton of boost plus opportunities but “coincidentally” that’s the time I barely get any orders
Surge and/or boost doesn’t ‘exist’ in Australia anymore. It was apparently just combined into the delivery rate if it’s in a ‘surging’ area
As a matter of fact, the further I get into your video the more I see just how different the AU app is
Oftentimes the trip takes longer than what is said. I've never seen surge pay in Portland, Oregon.
Can you use both at the same time? Uber eats n DoorDash?
Yes. Just accept one can and not the other.
I just started DoorDash 1 week ago should I sign up for Uber eats too or wait a bit longer
Sign up for Uber eats it's better
This is very helpful to me because I'm just starting and this is like I said very helpful!!
We don't get surge pricing in my area at all.
$2 base pay while the company posts record profits is insane
S/O to you from JAX FL aka DUUUVAAAL
I see alot of drivers in my area and not enough orders on a steady basis, despite busy or not
I live in Jackson Tennessee it's a small city. I've never seen a surge on just uber eats. Not once
I’m from Knoxville, & we don’t have bonus/ surge pay anymore. Why is that???
Uber in Nashville & Clarksville is super busy
I’ve noticed when accepting boost the base it is lower than without boost. Never seen a Quest in the year I’ve been doing it. I’m in California so maybe we don’t get those things
Thanks for letting me know the new rules are much closer now to not driving for you anymore 😂
I've been doing Uber Eats for over a year and I have never seen surge pay.
In my market uber is the only flipping gjg appt that be like------beeeep bop beep bop----Taco Bell $4.36 15 miles. Ignored! Beeep bop beep bop---- SAME Taco Bell order--Taco Bell ---$3.78 15 miles Ignored!
Beep bop Same one again Taco Bell $2.91 15 miles. 😢
Also- Beep bop----KFC $4.36 3.5 miles..includes expected and upfront tjps. Very hesitantly accept.......next day check earnings---- KFC 20.36 4.36 plus 15 dollar tip. Uh tell me thwt beforehand 😂
I had a guy change my tip from $8 to $2. Not sure what happened I followed directions And delivered it on time.
In upstate NY no more surge pay at all
Do you know why I see statements that with Uber Eats you can deliver in any US market, but that is NOT the case. I'm in North Carolina and was told yesterday that I can only deliver in this state. To apply in another state will require losing my ability to work on my home turf. I explained the idea of traveling and working to no avail. Thoughts, Anyone?
How much did you make in 2023 from TH-cam and patreon?
I'm new to uber eats today and I hope bi can make decent good money
I’m finding tip baiting happens.
Did 5200 deliveries last year for doordash all over the county and not once had to schedule...trying Uber eats and it's just not as good of income so looking for helpful tips but this is a lot of rambling. Ubers orders have been junk so I hit the x alot. Does declining effect anything like DD?
No, acceptance rate is just them pressuring you to take orders. I only have like a 20% acceptance rate and make about $150 for about 6 hours.
Hi Mike. Thanks for the informative video! 👍
Doesn't the IRS tax rate just mean you can write off $0.67c per mile and get that money back at the end of the year?
Why does your Uber eats screen look so different than mine? I never seen those red zones ever
What do you know about instacart
I haven't seen the quest bonus offers yet.
Why does sometimes it will say 12$ but when I complete the delivery, it only gives me 3-4$?
Tip portion shows up after about an hour
At least an hour@@kimmieinspires
Hi Mike what happen if the acceptance rate is to low in uber eats
Nothing. Just get a warning message when log in. I have been as low as 29%
My market is gray all the time
I dont get quests anymore. How can I get quests again, do you know?
I wouldn't want to try to do this as a full time job or my main income... I have a normal 40hr job but I just want something I can do to make a little extra for a couple hours before/after work or on the weekends. I just signed up but I think I'm waiting on them to do the background check, anyone know how long that typically takes in canada??
I have never seen any of these other than the boost. I’m in Riverside California if anyone know why we don’t get em
I'm really trying to fix my acceptance rate, but Uber Eats still send the worse offers available. Every time I try to improve my rating, it ends worse than before. Does anyone have a tip or suggestion in this case? Thanks
Naaaa I went from 70% to 14
@@Eye4Skillz And are you getting worthwhile orders? Because every time I try to give UE a chance, I go back to DD to make my day.
