I love it. Thanks, by the way, for not talking talking talking the way some youtubers do. You provide plenty of information with your subtitles, and I love watching your work without the endless commentary.
Beautiful work! No matter the mess or headache, you turn the neglected back into something amazing every time. It's a family affair now with watching your videos. Thank you for all you do in restoring the neglect and giving it purpose once again.
You are the BEST, Ahti!!! Watching you do your magic on such damaged pieces gives me great joy. You never fail to amaze me. I always expect the best, and you deliver. Every time! Thank you!!
Those worms had quite a feast on that cabinet! I love your clever ways of problem-solving and you have some awesome tools to help you. It turned out beautiful!
Don’t be so hard on yourself. To me you’re a master of a craftsman n you give each piece you do perfection. Wise choice of color stain, it’s absolutely gorgeous. You can see much of the grain of the birch wood. Yep! It’s a beauty. As you being a master of perfection it’s only the right words to say. You’re still my top dog. ♥️♥️😊👍👍👍👍🌟
I like the colours you chose better than the colours it came as. Very classy. Watching you restore these neglected pieces to their former glory is a joy to behold. Keep up the good work.
I'm always so glad when you drop a new video! Best Saturday afternoon break I can have! It so relaxing and satisfying to watch you breathe new life into an old, beat up piece. You are truly a master of your craft!
@@josephharvat6202the doors and curved doors seem very Art Noveau. But yeah, it almost seems to have an Art Deco inspiration as well, in the legs. The new stain really suits better than the red.
I have been trying to search for information on this style, but there hasn't been much to go on. In Hungary the square (or at times dots) and three stripes tend to appear on buildings, doors and gates in various arrangements. I think it could perhaps be categorized as geometric secession (late art nouveau) from the 1920-30s era... I hope someone can tell us for sure!🙂
You are a master at restoration, Ahti! Every single project you work on is an amazing restoration. You astound me every time I watch you do these! You are a true artist. You are definitely too hard on yourself, Ahti because everything I have seen from you is exceptional. Love, love, love your work!❤️❤️❤️
Okay, Ahti. I think by the comments below that: 1. You have been sorely missed. People get worried when someone isn't around - it's just human nature, I think. We all missed you. 2. You did an amazing job on this piece. You do an amazing job (that we can see) on all the jobs you post for us to see (only you know where you truly smudged something). 3. Again, human nature: you are your own harshest critic. None of your viewers would even think of criticizing your work. Take comfort that you do make a big difference in our worlds and other worlds you can't even see.🙃
Your channel is my favorite restoration channel on TH-cam. I like the just watching with the gentle music and occasionally have a voice or two. I like the things that you pick to redo. I like that. You're an extremely super naturall perfectionist with all of your work. But don't criticize yourself too much. Now when I saw this cabinet in the splash picture of TH-cam, I immediately said oh yes, I'm watching that one mm Because the beauty of this cabinet is amazing!! And I love the red color and I had no idea that was a burn mark. Wow. And when you said the owner didn't like the red, I thought I love it until you got done and what you did was even more beautiful. I mean totally incredibly beautiful. I also just love to watch your technique and how you do things because you know when you start to watch somebody refinish something you're like. Oh I could do that and I'd never say that the way I'm watching you because your years of experience create is such an amazing video. And the video skills are good too. The jigs you make to do things the different tools just all of it. Knowledge is King. This came out beautifully. I love it. I wish it was in my house.❤❤❤
I always get so excited when you post another video! I look every Saturday even though I know you don’t post weekly. When there is nothing new, I rewatch the old. Thank you for sharing your amazing craftsmanship in a style that makes watching and learning all the more enjoyable, and learn I have. Lesson number one: don’t try to restore all my antiques myself, but hire a professional while armed with the knowledge you have provided in finding the right person. Wish I lived in Tallinn.
That’s a beautiful little cabinet! I love the simple style. You did a phenomenal job as always! You gave it it’s pride back. Tell that inner critic he is hopelessly outnumbered and needs to hush. There are thousands of us who think you’re the best restorer out there!❤️🤗🐝
Gorgeous as always. I like the new stain color the owner chose. It feels like a lot of Art Noveau is in that med brown with lighter accent color palate. And the fearless cutting off of the wormed legs, knowing you could replicate the angled cuts was awesome. Never in a million years could I cut something like that correctly. 😂
I got a whole lot of respect for the amount of parts you were able to salvage and reuse. I feel like most folks, myself included, woulda just replaced the warped top and base instead of putting in the effort to make them usable again. There’s something about keeping the original materials intact that feels very respectful to the original piece and the person who made it ❤
I don't know how you do it. But once again another master piece. I am convinced I could come to your shop with a cardboard box full of sticks and when it left your shop it would be a museum piece!
I'm always so impressed with the level of your skills in restoring furniture, or anything wood! It is a real pleasure to watch and I'm always looking forward to your next project. I hope all is well with you and everyone in Estonia these days.
I thoroughly enjoy living life vicariously through these videos. I have done some restoration few years back but am not in a place to be able to do that now. Your videos are supremely satisfying. Thank you.
You should add a label with your data from the day you restored it... so that in the future they can see your good work and the new restorer doing the same. greetings!!
Agreed! Art conservators will often include information about the date, materials, and procedures they used so future owners or restorers know how to treat the artwork.
Again, an impressive and wonderful restoration work! My favorite moment in the videos is when you say: "so I decided to make new ones". What an incredible video! Bravo!!!👏👏👏🌷
I am fascinated by your use of tools, jigs, and geometry to restore old pieces and give them integrity again. You truly are a master craftsman. Thanks for sharing!
As usual, I'm fascinated by : - understanding the object before repairing it - the intelligence of the plan, step by step - the skill and delicacy with which you treat furniture - your increasingly brilliant tools - your artistic sense - your respect for the spirit in which the object was created - and of course the result I wonder why you mentioned art nouveau because I thought it was art deco, I thought art nouveau was softer and rounder and had a flowery decor. But I'm not an expert and I like to learn.
Amazing transformation! And I love the pro tips to use a jig for extra safety with the complicated cut, and an extra layer of shellac to balance the colors! Bravo and thank you for sharing your artistry! 💃🏻
Great work... I love to watch you bring things back to life. I agree with others. I have seen your narrative videos, your history etc. But when you work, you are not bantering, you are working... and I love the subtitles. They are clever and informational. I have a lovely marble top dresser with mirror... I wish it weren't across the ocean and much of Europe to ship it to you...
Damn Mr. AT. I'm running out of ways to say how amazing your work is and how much I enjoy watching what you do! Do you quite realize how much of a treat it is for us out here, and how impressive your skills and standards are? I hope so bud 🙏🙏🙏. 😎
Such a beautiful, graceful piece of furniture, no wonder someone else tried the failed repairs! I think you are your own harshest critic because you have the knowledge and expertise to know what an object SHOULD look like. Probably to most of the rest of us, what you do is mysterious and successful alchemy; you turn dross into gold!
As usual, you created another masterpiece. This started out beautiful and it baffles me why someone would just let it go and not fix it. I was amazed at the damage from the woodworm! But you did worked your magic and it's beautiful again!
WOW just wow. The final finish is amazing and the natural grain off the wood is amazing. What a turn around well done a lot of work but dam fabulous wood craft. Grate Job!
Yet another wonderful repair job. Personally I think I liked the color contrast between the blond doors and the original red stain, but I’m not the customer. Again I learn so much watching your videos. Thanks.
Beautiful restoration! I love the color, too. Floating screws (though I LOVE 🙂dowel connectors) work really well with wood that is dynamic. Thank you for the video!!
I so look forward to your posts! A true artisan and craftsman. You make it look easy and we all know its far from easy. Just great work and so enjoyable to watch!
You are an amazing artisan! Taking ugly, overdone pieces and breathing new life back into them! Just wonderful! Soooo much work but truly worth the effort! Well Done! 😊❤️
I love it. Thanks, by the way, for not talking talking talking the way some youtubers do. You provide plenty of information with your subtitles, and I love watching your work without the endless commentary.
I agree. The silence is golden, and enhances the experience.
Each to his own.
Your videos are a blessing from the furniture gods for those of us taken hostage by the flippin' bug at a late age!
I love it too. But the guys from Flippingdrawers and Mad City Modern are amazing too. I also love to listen to them.
This is the reason I watch you. The subtitles teach, but I get to enjoy your work and it is almost like therapy. :)
Beautiful work! No matter the mess or headache, you turn the neglected back into something amazing every time. It's a family affair now with watching your videos. Thank you for all you do in restoring the neglect and giving it purpose once again.
I agree he is a magician all the items look beautiful ❤️
You are the BEST, Ahti!!! Watching you do your magic on such damaged pieces gives me great joy. You never fail to amaze me. I always expect the best, and you deliver. Every time! Thank you!!
It's always a joy to watch you turn run down furniture back to its glory. Fantastic restoration.
It is wonderful to watch him restore furniture too. It's original Glory or even better and this was fantastic
Those worms had quite a feast on that cabinet! I love your clever ways of problem-solving and you have some awesome tools to help you. It turned out beautiful!

You turned back the hands of time, breathing new life into that cabinet.
Comment to bump the algorithm.
Exemplary workmanship! The finished cabinet is stunning. Thank you for sharing the process.
I think I have learnt more about woodworking watching you than I ever did at school! Thank you
I've missed watching you practice your art! Thank you for sharing this project with us!
I like the colours you chose better than the colours it came as. Very classy. Watching you restore these neglected pieces to their former glory is a joy to behold. Keep up the good work.
Of all the very many youtubers I watch, you are my favorite, never disappoint.
Truth
I'm always so glad when you drop a new video! Best Saturday afternoon break I can have! It so relaxing and satisfying to watch you breathe new life into an old, beat up piece. You are truly a master of your craft!
Love the new colour. I think this is more Arts and Crafts than art nouveau- a beautiful era of artistic expression.
Or perhaps Art Deco. Definitely not Art Noveau.
@@josephharvat6202the doors and curved doors seem very Art Noveau. But yeah, it almost seems to have an Art Deco inspiration as well, in the legs. The new stain really suits better than the red.
Art Moderne? It was after art deco..1930s era designs.

You "developed this method" when you had to fix round tables.
You are brilliant, and the restoration of this piece proves it! ❤
You are a master at restoration, Ahti! Every single project you work on is an amazing restoration. You astound me every time I watch you do these! You are a true artist. You are definitely too hard on yourself, Ahti because everything I have seen from you is exceptional. Love, love, love your work!❤️❤️❤️
Much awaited, much appreciated looking forward to excellent work as always from you.
Спасибо! Посмотрела на одном дыхании. Ваш канал по реставрации самый лучший (для меня)! Нет понтов, нет интриг. Все четко и по делу.

This guy can bring back to pristine conditions furniture that most people would only consider it as firewood material. Excellent video as usual.

I feel like a broken record...But you are TRULY the Master at what you do. ABSOLUTELY STUNNING.
This could not have been made more beautiful than what you have done!! Outstanding, OUTSTANDING work!!
This is not an easy job, but, as usual, a fantastic performance. Congratulations!😊

Your biggest critic is why you do such incredibly exemplary work sir...bravo. From Australia
Ahti, that's gorgeous. Once again you show you are the master and that cabinet looks awesome. Thank you.

Omg what an absolutely beautiful piece if furniture and restoration.
I love the design, colour, woodgrain and stain.
Fabulous!
I thoroughly enjoy living life vicariously through these videos. I have done some restoration few years back but am not in a place to be able to do that now. Your videos are supremely satisfying. Thank you.
The amount of work is large but the product looks gorgeous. Super.

WOW!!! A skillful & beautiful restoration! Love your format, and way that you explain! No words, but, completely understood!!
19:37 I like the little bit of humor you put in your videos! The cabinet looks so much better now! Another great restoration, Ahti! 😄👍
I love it when you go, “this is broken, get the saw!” 🤣The difference between before and after is impressive!
As always, beautiful work. I've never seen a piece like that before. Love the shape. The finish is stunning.

Very wonderful job… as usual…
A magician… and nothing up your sleeve but your arm… great job… 🌎🕊️ 🌜🌞🌛

I wonder why you mentioned art nouveau because I thought it was art deco, I thought art nouveau was softer and rounder and had a flowery decor. But I'm not an expert and I like to learn.
There were different branches of Art Nouveau. In the North countries it was simplified and straight.
@@ATRestoration Thank you for this answer. We French are too much focussed on our habitual way of thinking.
You've made a lovely job of that. Such an elegant little cabinet. I enjoy your videos very much indeed.
Amazing transformation! And I love the pro tips to use a jig for extra safety with the complicated cut, and an extra layer of shellac to balance the colors! Bravo and thank you for sharing your artistry! 💃🏻

Поражаюсь работой мастера!браво!
I am ridiculously jealous of your new table saw. That sled is 👌
I would proudly own this and put it in my livingroom.
Great video, nice project.
Yet another wonderful repair job. Personally I think I liked the color contrast between the blond doors and the original red stain, but I’m not the customer. Again I learn so much watching your videos. Thanks.
But the way that it came out it was even more beautiful because you could see all that gorgeous wood grain.
Night and Day difference. Really Great Job!!! You brought it back to LIFE!! (I'm also my own worse critic, so I understand) Keep up your great work!!!
