This is what I eat in a day after I lost 100 pounds. Pretty close to what I was eating in a day while I was losing weight as well. A lot of people asked for a day in my life, seeing my workout schedule, eating times, how much I eat like portion sizes and what I eat.
So this is it, a typical workday for me!!
    My Weight Loss Story - • How I REALLY Lost 100 ...
For the Chickpea curry recipe I just used
    1 can of chickpeas drained
    1/4 red onion large sliced
    Frozen pepper medley
    Frozen mushrooms
    Handful of spinach
    Garlic
1 can of curry paste ( I change up different flavors all the time)
    1 can of Coconut milk

I do too. This is much more relevant to me than plant-based meat. I watch the meat videos too because I learn different techniques from them, but this is how I eat. I don't need to lose weight and I love that the first meal in the video needed to be improved with *more* calories, but I like the tips and inspiration.

I'm also a vegan that lost 100lbs! Now I'm into bodybuilding and its a whole different world lol. Tracking calories and hitting protein goals on a vegan diet is challenging but if it were easy it wouldn't be worth to have. Congrats on your weight loss, you are looking very healthy.

Is it a whole different way of eating too? (For body building). How do you maintain? What aided you with bldg? Im struggling. Always experiencing sarcopenia or lipid gain 😢

    • @xander4644
      @xander4644 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

@@imaginethegood it a moderate change. The most important thing is, obviously, protein. But if you have a specific goal in mind I would highly recommend tracking your calories while doing bulk/cut cycles. Train *VERY* hard. I train to true failure on at least one set for every single exercise I do followed by partials and dropsets. If your diet is not 100% dialed in I would honestly recommend protein powder and creatine, maybe some BCAA/EAAs.
For me, I am currently on a cut with target calories of 2500 and a goal of 200g of protein. I take a vegan multivitamin, omega 3 EPA+DHA, creatine, ashwaghanda, and BCAAs+glutamine. I think my supplements are overkill but I don't really care. I just started lifting around 7 months ago and have seen better results than my Omni friends. The vegan diet has not held me back at all. Just makes it a bit harder.

i lost 100 pounds in my life as well!
in 10th grade i weighed 267 pounds at 6'2 and i knew this had to stop. i spent the next year eating 1-2 veggie meals a day! similar to intermittent fasting. eventually i went vegan & dropped down to 165 pounds, this is a bit low at my height. Now im am 6'5 and hover around 180-200 pounds! I feel healthy here (:

Love this video; the tips are great and I'm glad that you gently suggest that our relationship with food could be a symptom of psychological things that need to be addressed--this is why Noom is so effective--rather than just food-related. So many people think the solution is dieting, rather than making better choices in many different aspects of one's life. Thanks for posting. P.S. A little worried that the gigantic pumpkin on the edge of the counter at the end of the video may have snapped the counter right off!

Yeah, I've always heard diet diet diet, but I tried countless diets that never took, I might lose weight but would just gain it right back. Ive never had this much and this long of weight loss in my life. It's lots of little things beyond just food and quick diets. Thats the hardest part to understand.

No Snacks No Sweets No Seconds, except on days that start with S (thank you Reinhard Engels!). I really like your chart with the pull-ups this is an awesome idea for myself since I hate doing the same things for a longer period of 5 minutes at a time. Dishes or ironing really kills me because there is no action involved. Also when working out after 5 minutes I get bored unless it's something like dancing or step aerobic with a choreography. So building muscle is a chore for myself but the way you do it is a really good idea to get in my strength exercise to build up muscle to help me lose my access weight.

Congrats SS! Just becoming a vegan I lost 10 lbs. I like intermittent fasting which I do intermittently 😂 My biggest meal of the day is lunch and this has been quite helpful as well. Would love to lose 20lb or so. Will focus on that over winter when I'm not so busy gardening.

I've been doing intermittent fasting for at least 15 years. It's not only for weight loss, but also lower inflammation. The more our gut has to work the more inflammation it has to deal with!.. Congrats on the weight loss..

Looks delicious! Though I have a question about the curry paste- Could I substitute it for tomato paste and curry powder?

    Awesome video Mark! 👍
I subscribed a long time ago. Maybe around when you trying different plant bacon recipes?
So, I witnessed your weight loss journey from the beginning? 🤔 Therefore, I think you're just a walking testimony for Noom. Not just someone being paid to tell us this "program" works. You got the visual evidence on your channel.
I want to try Noom as soon as I can afford to.

Consider putting half or a whole avocado in your shake. It makes it nice and creamy.

I love the fact you not only committed to this lifestyle but you really seem to be enjoying it! IF can be restrictive for some but the flexibility is truly the key and I am glad you're approaching it more reasonably!

IF worked great for me too. I lost 50 pounds without changing my food choices or adding in any exercise. I hit a plateau though and got really discouraged. I have managed to maintain my weight loss, but I really need to exercise to lose the remaining 15-20 pounds. I deeply dislike exercising LOL!

I filled out the noom stuff on the link and it took quite a chunk of time. At the end of it, I didn’t get the two week free trial. :( it offered a .50 sent to $18 one week trial. I wonder what I did wrong or if link isn’t working?

So i have had a similar journey with the vegan weight loss. I love your videos and your cookiing ideas. The way you use magic in the kitchen is fun
These are esome observations I noticed in my journey.
My weight loss. I lost about 50 pounds mostly muscle. Hit a plateau basically my body wouldn't go any lower without staring itself.
The first year after a big weight loss is he most important. It takes awhile for your metabolism to adjust to the change. Its why a lot of people gain a lot of weight bwck after they lose the weight.
It kind of creates an eating disorder. If i dont weigh myself then i gain a lot of weight overtime a few pounds here and there. Ive noticed I weigh myself way too yoo much as a fear of gaining that weight back.
If i eat something and gain a pound or two it may put me in a slight annoyed mood.
For me its hard being a vegan at times. I love it but sometimes just dont feel like cooking and the cleanup is a lot.
Im sorry for ranting on your success im just giving a different perspective of weight losss. Great job you look great

Ohh nooo so I drink my coffee black. I start coffee first thing in the morning. It’s the only thing I consume besides water throughout the day before fasting

Did you notice any loss in muscle mass or strength?
I've been doing intermittent fasting for 5 years or so and I lost weight very fast - like 40 lbs in 2 months or so. I'm 6'4" and was about 235 lbs at my heaviest, so that was pretty much all I wanted to lose. But I also lost some muscle mass despite going to the gym several times a week during that time. I think I wasn't getting enough protein because I also went mostly vegan at the same time, and I wasn't paying super close attention to my nutrient intake. I've noticed I'm not as strong as I used to be, though of course part of that is probably the arthritis issues, which was the reason I started IF to begin with. I've since incorporated more protein (my almost everyday lunch these days is oats with vegan protein powder + a banana), but sometimes my joints (and my 4 kids and their activities...) make it difficult to workout, so my strength hasn't really returned and yet my weight (and sogginess around the midsection) is starting to creep back up again, around 205 lbs now.
Anyway, I definitely need to try your "workout snacks" idea for those rare moments where I feel like I can exercise and I don't have other commitments. Neat idea!

Honestly im not sure, I wasnt paying close attention and started working out before I think it was too late. I was strictly paying attention to the scale which isn't the best.
If I could do it over I would have started with more strength training when I was at my heaviest, that would have slowed down the muscle loss.
