Yo!! Im from the US but I gotta say, thank you so much for your vid’s. So well put together and informative. Definitely helping me make decisions for my vb! You deserve more subs and you’ll get there soon. Cheers brother! 🎉
It's not a vent to the atmosphere, it replaces the stock diverter valve and is recirculated using the stock location. Just a change in the internals that doesn't immediately release pressure to lower boost dropoff in between shifts but still retains a vent to stop compressor surge
Hey! Yep still stock tuned at this stage only mods are intermediate pipe and catback exhaust. I haven't noticed any change in turbo noise, but in between gears the car does not just fall out of boost like it used to. There are less pops and bangs between gears from the exhaust with the diverter valve (only on wide open throttle) but I'm thinking it might be due to the factory one dumping all the boost on shift with the standard part. (Just a theory though)
@@JoelBrownefilms thanks for the fast reply! yeah I saw on some guys build that when they installed an intake. the stock diverter valve dont close fast enough and it results in a boost leak/drop. I dont wanna run a full on BOV either coz I heard it might make the car stall on idle
I installed the GFB DV today in my 2023 WRX (in Perth Australia) but the car wouldn't start, I then reinstalled the stock DV and the car started first time? hmmm a 4 hour waste of time
Was it fully plugged in with the wiring harness? The diverter valve install worked right away no issues when I installed it. Have been running it now for months
@@JoelBrownefilms yea I ordered from them before, youre front badge looks fully covered lol. anyways, can you not use a normal philips head to unscrew the stock diverter valve?
The throttle controller should in theory as it's no change to the ecu it's just a throttle sensitivity adjuster. GFB have pretty.good customer service so they'd be able to clear it up for the diverter :) sadly it doesn't have manual or CVT specific info on the paperwork for either so I'm not 100% sure I'm sorry
The throttle controller only adjusts throttle sensitivity and does not affect the car any more than standard operation would :) it would not void warranty
What's going on with your times? Stock time is 5.5s (ish) to 60MPH and you are doing 85KPH which is only 52MPH. Help me understand why you are at 7.7 whilst 8mph under 60mph? (You were almost twice as slow as manufacturer speeds to 60/62 mph ?)

Thanks so much man I really appreciate it! 🙏🏼
That valve is likely going to cause problems if it vents to atmosphere.

is it still in stock tune? and also was there any difference in turbo noise with the GFB diverter valve? thanks

What's the part number on the EVC?
It's the EVC551 Ultimate Throttle Controller (Subaru WRX 2016-On)
How did you install the bulge scoop to prevent it from scratching?
Previous video has the scoop install :) it comes with a foam tape to mount
where did you get that emblem mate? overlays don't cover the chrome bit of the stock badge.
@@nico-wx1bk the front and back are from a company called 21overlays :)

Probably a dumb question but will these fit/work the same on the CVT model? I'm assuming the paperwork that comes with them will say.

what kind of grill is that?
This is a Dmaker paint matched mesh style grill :) I have a video a few back with the details if you'd like to see install

Do these mods require a tune?
They do not :) I have been running without tune since the video no issues
