- A big portion of home fried potatoes and a fried egg may be the best breakfast combination ever. It's debatable but its a fact that these home fries are some of the crispiest in the world. Try out this simple 15 minute recipe.
Ingredients:
Russet Potatoes
White Vinegar
Kosher Salt
Fresno Chili
Green Onion
Black Pepper

LMAO
@@DomenicsKitchen U KNOW U AINT SORRY YOU ENJOYED EVERY CHEW AND SWALLOW OF THEM GOOD LOOKING POTATOES
Lmao
@violet076 thank you
Genuinely the only realistic recipe for home fries, in which I don't have to drown them in oil for oven fries or in a pot, thank you
Glad you enjoyed! This is definitely my go to method
Those potatoes do not look crispy
Would recommend letting the boiled potatoes cool for a few hours (or overnight) in the refrigerator before pan frying them. Helps even more with the crisping and gives a pillowy inner texture
or let them cool on counter for a bit then put into freezer
in or out of the water do you let them cool?
@@flamingseagul9409 You let them cool out of the water. So long as they've been rinsed (or immersed in water, as is the case) they won't turn brown by reacting to the air.
Ohhh I didn't know that ...
looks very good, i usually add garlic powder at the end tho because it burns easily and becomes bitter
That’s a good point. Typically I do the same
Thxs for tha tip
excellent point
very true
Very underrated tip.
Anytime your garlic runs the risk of burning. Use garlic/onion powder instead of fresh. And if needed add the fresh garlic near the end of the cook. Letting it cook but not burn!
These were the best breakfast potatoes i have ever had, better than a restaurant. So crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, thanks for the recipe! Will definitely be making it more than once
👍
Try some Old Bay seasoning. You wont regret it. Tastes amazing.
Thankyou sooo much for cutting those the way you just did my dude. I have to cut 25 pounds of homefries every morning ever since our cutter broke at work. None of us mind doing it but we all have the most random ass ways of cutting and this looks so much more consistent.
I basically was cutting how you did but they've all been long chunks instead of cubes like you want
Glad you found it useful. This is my go to method because it’s quick and the potatoes come out relatively uniform.
Finally a legit HOME recipe without unrealistic uneeded ingredients
You are hero finally I found non oven cook
I followed this recipe and it really helped me! It was my first time cooking this style of potatoes and they came out so good! Thank you!
Legit the best potatoes I’ve ever made, thank you for this!!
This looks great! About to try to make some home fries now.
I like your tip about adding salt and vinegar to the water used to boil the potatoes. Anything to help keep them together is a good thing.
It helps a ton!!
How much vinegar?
@@jim-kalliedunn-md4bza cap fill, small amount
I really love how you explain everything and that you keep the music low
Food is mouthwatering 🤤
This looks so good omg
shorts are really saving my life
best fried potatoes recipeI 've seen n been using ever since
Thank you todays my moms birthday and I wanted to make her breakfast
So much healthier than potato chips. Ty for sharing.
Ooo I want some of that for breakfast
Awesome video
Thank you 🙏🏾
This is great! We can make crispy fries without oil deep frying potatoes, it is a healthy option!👌
I tried this and omg it’s so good
Thats looks AMAZING 👍🏼
looks so good
Tried it and it was so yummy!! Thanks
Looks good
I like when they say add unsalted butter, then follows with add salt.
can you really not figure out why that is?
@@mrothstein24 Explain
Lol it does sound kinda goofy but it’s just so you can control the amount of salt you’re adding to the dish. When it comes to salt I almost always add it to taste.
@@DomenicsKitchen I understand, I use salted butter but I never add salt. Just me.. haha I feel like most seasonings like adobo and such already has to much... I do like the cracked pepper..
I'm sure it tasted great, thanks for sharing..
There’s a reason for that 😂. It allows you to control the salt. If you use salted butter you have no idea how much salt is in the amount of butter used. This way you get the butter and then put as much or as little salt needed.
Looks delicious!
Making this today
Those are some sexy potatoes
Yes indeed... looks yummy.
thank you broski
Thank you 👍🏾
Thank you so much I did it 😊 I love you 😊thank you
Granulated garlic and onion, pepper and pink salt gives it a great flavor.
Yass!! it worked out great. ❤
Good Job!!! 👏
I like that you don't peel them. The peel is where all the nutrients is. Would you be able to do this with other types of peppers and onions?
Yes definitely. I’ve used jalapeños and Serranos for more heat. Brown onions for a slightly sweeter taste. Experiment with it and see what you like best!
@@DomenicsKitchen Thanks!
Hi there, love the recipe and will definitely try it soon. Just a quick question: How do you fry them from all sides ? Even when I shake the pan a few times I have to turn the potato pieces one by one. Any advice ? Thank you for the video anyway ;)
Lots of oil/ butter try using a wok
Where can I buy that pan?
I learned this method working 3 years at a breakfast and lunch Diner except the cube the potatoes and boil them kind of like you are preparing to cook mashed potatoes but you don't boil them as long sword of a long Blanche
My Italian grandma say EVOO is not supposed to be used for cooking, regular olive oil yes but Extra Virgin is for dressings breads salads ect... i
And if you're cooking your eggs in anything but butter, you're !@#$ing up.
Home fries are basically O'Brian dice potatoes 👍. In my family we just call that O'Brian potatoes, home fries for us us is diced also but we use left over bake potatoes.
This shyt looks banging
You don't even have to use oil you can also use spray cooking olive oil😊 I got our minds with a little bit garlic and then I fly them they are so good especially with some chives ty for sharing
Thank you so much
No problem! Glad you enjoyed
Yo I make this so good but I didn’t have any-kind of peppers so I browned some onions before I added the potatoes
I made them today! Thanks for this great recipe! I didn't use vinegar and I think frying them took longer than 2 minutes, but maybe I didn't put enough olive oil.
Glad you enjoyed! Sorry I didn’t seem to clarify in the vid. You’re going to cook them in the pan for about 3-4 mins before adding the peppers and onions. Then an additional 1-2 once you’ve added them in. Sorry for the confusion!
@@DomenicsKitchen I see, I was wondering if I should boil them for a little longer, but anyway it was a very quick way to cook potatoes and the result was great!
am sure if u boiled as shown should not have to fry more than 2 minutes
Delicious 👍🏾
at what heat and how long do you cook the potatoes?
AMAZING🎉
Question. For the potatoes can you do the vinegar and salt boil and then save to cook for mornings throughout the week?
I do this every weekend
Yoooo where tf did you get that non stick?
You put unsalted butter in, and immediately after add salt?
i come back every time i want some bomb potatoes. thx!! 😁🙏
Why unsalted butter when you salt them anyway?
Yum 😋
DEFINITELY FINNA MAKE THOSE POTATOES
How long do you actually fry the potatoes?
Review: I didn't have vinegar, but it worked. I also only added caramelized onions. The end results were unbelievable. Potatoes packed with flavor. I'm making my potatoes this way from now on. 10/10.
How long to boil
Good!
looks good! gonna make it for brunch.
Nice!
@@DomenicsKitchen "were going to start off with two rustic potatoes", as opposed to what other potatoes you silly THICC clown?
russet lol
@@mrdg1523 lmaoo
The potatoes 🥔 look amazing. I cook my potato’s very similarly. But those runny eggs 🥚 😳
to each their own 😆
@@DomenicsKitchen Dom shit nasty swearrr😂
I feel you lol I need my egg COOKED.
These square fries yousto hit so hard you didnt need ketchup nor salt
How high is the burner supposed to be tho
I like dem French fried potaters mm hmmm
What is kosher salt?
I tried it very good but lack of ingredients very hurt my potato and i forgot to cut before boiling it lol
Boil time?
Does anyone use Larry's seasoning salt???
What pan is tbis
I’m watching this knowing I’m funna cook eggs wit mine then wonders is he gone do it too (as he does it)
Back at home we call them little blocked taters
I don't like eggs when I can see them but I'll try most of this! I don't got all the ingredients but I got the spices and oil! Probs gonna scramble the eggs and get some other ingredients so I don't see the eggs. >~
Buonissimo
Grazie!
I hate runny yolk, unless it on rice
YOU FORGOT THE BACOON 🤯😭
How do you make french fries from potatoes other than russet
I mean you could technically use Yukon gold as well but I prefer russets. Plus these are home fries not French fries, they’re much more forgiving.
OK it looks amazing but where are the FRIES?
Why say unsalted butter instead of just butter? Salted butter is used the same way for everything except baking
That's how i always do mine
People if you havent try it yet
What are you waiting for ❤😊
Mine stick to the pan and get f**ked up , guess I need better pans lol.
Olive oil isn't good for browning lol its got a low smoke point. If you want a brown crispy fry you should use peanut oil
I brown all of my food with olive oil wtf! Haha I even fry food with it
Olive oil is great for frying
Avocado oil is also great (super high burn point) and no where near as bad for your health as peanut/vegetable/canola oil
Unsalted butter.. then add salt TWICE
I'll try minus the eggs. Or scrambled eggs.
400 calories worth of olive oil just for 2 eggs 😅
Unsalted butter is a crime
fresno pepper uh
COOK FOR MEEEEEE😭
I think you meant to say country style hasbrowns looks good you need some garlic and paprika
am i not meant to flip the eggs?
The breakfast looks good minus the runny eggs i can't get down with that i like my eggs done not running all over my plate
💯
How much time to boil?
About 5 mins or until barely fork tender
Or Cajun seasoning
Unsalted butter but then proceeds to put salt in the pan lol hahahaha
its so you can control the amount of salt, smartie
So are you telling me that ive been cooking breakfast papas the wrong way 🤯 i always cutted the potatoes a different way but geez 🙄 i use to soak my potatoes a few times then afterwards let it dry to cook it ... I didn't know i was supposed to boil too... I thought it was just for making homemade mashed potatoes..
MMMMMMM😋
"Drop in some unsalted butter then add salt..." why are you so THICC?
