Basic tests are first and foremost, it's all about narrowing down the fault condition and identifying the issue and where to look. Be sure the 'pump' is in good serviceable condition. Next look at the electrics, good blue spark at the plug. Then look at the fueling/air intake system. That is the order of events for me to go to, anyway. I like that you used the old 'shot of oil' down the spark pug hole to boost compression. (by saying the pump, I'm talking about the piston and rings for sealing the combustion charge, cylinder head to barrel sealing, valve train seal/valves, etc)
@@jwxr8 Ive put 10'000ks on it since I bought it, haven't had a problem apart from the heated grips were wired into the battery, they glitched out and cooked the battery,

Had a complete top end rebuild, all new electrics, went ok for around 500ks, then did the same thing, sold it..

@@ginge017 i left it sitting for a while, had to clean the carb out, it was right after that, but i was over it.

Did you check the coil resistance? I have the same problem and my coil resistance is over 7k... Hopefully that's it.
