ULTRA HD 4K UPLOAD: A BULK BOGAN SPECIAL: Hmm... Yis... My pixels are getting bigger... My pixels are growing STRONKER! Oh yis, poompin out all the pixels.
I believe the game Joel was referring to as a Doom clone would be Kens Labyrinth, a Wolfenstein 3D clone made by Ken Silverman who later went on to make the Build Engine which powered such games as Witchhaven, William Shatners Tek War, Duke Nukem 3D, Shadow Warrior, Blood, and more recently Ion Fury. An interesting piece of gaming history.
I upscaled it using an AI. It is to compensate for the loss of quality through TH-cam and to just improve the watching experience in general for you guys 🙂
@@vargskelethorjoelminihighl6468 I wished TH-cam would offer a uncompressed option for specific resolutions, as long as the source was a certain codec and bit-rate for both video and audio, so instead of double compressed/transcoded version, TH-cam would serve a perfectly fine manually downscaled version...
@@vargskelethorjoelminihighl6468 You using Video Enhance AI? The Gaia-CG: P,CG,HQ model is insane. In the Preferences there's a single setting for "AI Resources Demand" and I'm going to try increasing to 200% to see if it speeds things up or just crashes instantly haha.

Oh my god, Dangerous Dave and D-Valley, now that's two games from my childhood, I liked to play Dangerous Dave from time to time (although Commander Keen was my favorite one), D-Valley not so much, but my dad loves it;
Dr Riptide? Dangerous Dave? Ken's Labyrinth? Joel found some games I played the hell out of! Though, wasn't the "UGH" and "Jetpack" clips in a previous Shareware madness? (Or Dos Madness?)

did you use some kind of upscaling? looks like i'm playing GBA with max filters.
image so sharp my retinas are bleeding 👍👍
now if only joel actually streamed in 4k!
Yes, it's an AI upscaling the video.

For the longest time I thought this was an official channel. You guys are amazing thank you so much for your hard work ♥️
It is actually. It was once a fan channel but it is approved by Joel since September last year. You're welcome and I hope you enjoy the videos❤️
@@vargskelethorjoelminihighl6468 Ah no way! Thought you were a fan channel when I read the about section.
Sorry, it's a bit misleading and old ^^ but I am a fan nonetheless! I hope that makes sense :3

"Your favorite K-pop musician has flatlined" might be the funniest thing Joel has ever said

8:34 Joel predicted Kim Jong Un
I was wondering where's the continuations! Part #9 needs a counter of "TETRIS 2000" sound effects somewhere
Coincidentally I had remembered about Dangerous Dave just before watching this video
Did he speak fluent Japanese out of nowhere?? Did I miss some backstory
Joel's been able to speak a decent amount of japanese for years now
Joel is a weeb
Joel Has been fluent for years
I figured he just winged it
Omf I havent thought about Ken's Labyrinth in years
I wouldn't be surprised if that game at 4:48 uses the same engine as Wolfenstein 3D.
my name jeff
hi jeff
Deez nuts
Joel's guitar actually made that song tolerable.
“This is like Tetris 2 on the NES...”
Um, no. Tetris 2 is basically Tetris and Dr. Mario mashed together.
GOBMAN reminds me of Candyman from Lethal League
Huh. Little overlap with the previous one. Threw me off for a little bit.
yeah confused me too lol I'm watching the playlist
11:10 I FUCKING SWEAR THAT DEATH SOUND IS JOHN HURT FROM THE CHESTBURSTER SCENE
godman is in lethal league????????????
That's immediately what I thought when I saw that!
Dose Joel ever talk about his dad anymore. I remember him telling stories about interactions with his dad.

7:44 why does that look like a saw trap
Is it me or sounds from Jetpack were in Genesis version of Action 52?
Saw Down Under Dan, had hoped Joel was going to finish it. Now I'm sad ):
He played Corridor 7. #FreeCivvie
I love these terrible games so much.
