People bitch about Medford knives all the time but I don't care I still want one to add to my bugout bag and this one reminds me of my old military knife from when I served and deployed. Just something about it. I wished my life was in a different place now as I just can't afford a Medford, but someday I'll add one or several to my knife collection. Thanks for sharing 👊

That's a beauty!! Incidentally, I just ordered one for myself and I just realized that mine looks VERY similar to yours!! I believe the only difference is that, (I don't think) my pivot is PVD coated and my pocket clip is flame anodized. Other than that, it's virtually identical!
I can't wait to see how it compares to my other Medfords (a Praetorian T, a Proxima, a 187 Flipper and an On Belay) !
Awesome!! I flipped and worked my pivot for a few weeks and its getting very smooth, he said he makes them very tight so they can break in smooth without getting loose

That he does!! All of mine have been very tight at first, but have broken in SO SMOOTHLY!
He strongly advises people to let the knife break in naturally and to not just sit on the couch opening and closing the knife.... but I just can't help myself from fidgeting with a new knife😈

Hey jerad great vid btw, just a follow up on the kansept accipiter I bought a week and a bit ago. turns out I got a bit of a lemon unfortunately, the detent is incredibly strong to the point of being painful, the clip came loose and the action is very gritty, I was surprised considering all the great things I’ve heard about them but I guess I’m just unlucky
Sometimes it happens, talk to them or swap it out im sure they will take care of you they are good people over there
I've had it for 1 day now and I'm so thrilled with the quality it oozes all over! Mine has bronze-golden scales and black blade. I'm loving it!! One think, though, as you said, the tip is rather slim and delicate. Will it hold on? I'm not stabbing metal with it but still, it looks frail.
I wouldnt say frail i think its plenty tough, but dropping mine did chip the tip a little, no breaking which says something because it did hit concrete, a regular sharpening will take care of it, having a good sharp tip is important imho

HOPING this will help me FINALLY DECIDE to get one or not....... only thing is I've only recently broke the $500 range for the Sumo( which I almost missed out on after watching your video about the drop recently but was lucky enough to find it for sale at one other store) this is TWICE THE $$ So my ADD is causing indecisiveness OVERLOAD! Every time I've gotten like this before I wind up missing out because I keep procrastinating because I can't decide....
Lucky knives like Medfords are always available or are on there way, they ship them all over so you can usually find one, not to make it any worse but my favorite Medford of all time atm is the slim midi on bearings 👊

I have 2 say I was a little disappointed with the heat treat on my strider .75. Used it for 2 days and the edge was rolled like crazy. Guessing it had a burnt edge. I expect that from benchmade. Was thinking medford would be better.
Yeah usually they are far better, might of been an old belt or something they used, another reason why im not a fan of factory edges some are great

You know there's 100 reviews on this knife, I'm sure that would show you 5 minutes of size comparisons I quite doing that for the most part, but I understand this is a beast of a knife that deserves a good size comparison. Also my camera was going bad during the filming of this, since it's been replaced

For sure! There's many knives you can get cheaper, but knives like this also hold a great warranty and value after purchase

Never really like the aesthetics of Medford's. He builds big beefy knives but man, they just are ugly! Still, a lot of people like them and are willing to pay for them. I won't deny they look well built. Just not for me. Rather get a Hinderer or Demko for a bigger knife.
Yeah to each there own i was really happy to see him do some more edc friendly knives like the slim midi the preatorian slim, and others
