    Great video, as usual, thanks MC and sure glad I'm a subscriber and Patreon supporter of this awesome channel. I picked up a Slim Flipper, my first Medford, and I'm still working on breaking in the ceramic bearings. Greg Medford runs a tight ship and produces quality knives for sure. This Praetorian Slim is all it's advertised to be and carries nicely in my thinner work pants, tolerances are tight, and finishing is spot-on. My only gripe is the price tag however, I'm a native Arizonan and willing to pay the premium due to the overall quality, Greg's nutty and cool videos, the unique designs, and that MKT runs their main business out of a Phoenix location. I like supporting folks that choose to spend their money in my State, and dig this cool EDC.

    I didn’t realize this one was on bearings. Interesting. I do like the PB washers on the Slim Midi though. Great video!

    Glad this reviewed well. I ordered mine from MKT back in February and it's been an antsy 4 months waiting for it, and that knife has had very little coverage

    Man this thing is sweet. I have the 187 and would like to check this one out some day. I do think it is a little pricey though. My 187 was only 475

    A picture of a pretorian in a magazine got me into knives two years ago. I will never be able to afford one but I'm pretty happy with my batum. Im not really sure about a pretorian without the bashy bit on the end of the handle.

    I just got one and it has Torx for the pivot and has an overtravel stop. It’s S45 too so likely there was a refresh of the design. The pivot Torx is like a T20 though hahah

    I know this is an older video now, but seeing it again I cant help but think...Now that there's a Praetorian Slim Flipper model, if they replaced that "glass-breaker" feature with a well executed front-flipper tab instead, it would be a *LEGENDARY* fidget king! Between the thumb groove, double flipper deployments, being able to flick it being on bearings.... Yessir. But Greg hunts woolly mammoths w/ his knives, so hes prob not interested in making knives thatr fun to play with LOL.

    Nice looking blade but the lack of a steel insert to prevent the titanium frame lock from wearing out on a $500+ knife bugs the hell out of me

    • @frenchbeans
      @frenchbeans 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      All their lock faces are carbidized similar to how CRK used to do produce lock faces before the ceramic detent/lock insert. All Medfords are made to break into them selves, including the lock! Medford also does this because the Ti on SS has more traction and the lock face is less likely going to slip when under pressure. After fully broken in, the lock stops wearing and it settles on the blade tang.

    I have fluctuated between Medford and Olamic for my next knife. Medford came out with a Trump knife.
    I will never consider buying a Medford ever again.

    This is weird. I love my slim midi, love my gen 6 xm-18 on bearings, and Chris reeve and strider on PB washers. I ma seriously attracted to this blade, yet for some reason I am disappointed to hear it's on bearings. A Medford on bearings? Heresy
