    Fantastically wonderful review as always Dirk!!!
    Unfortunately as I am an office bound IT nerd myself, so I don’t really know much about hard use sorry.
    Folks make sure you subscribe to Dirk’s channel, for completely honest and transparent reviews on knives and other EDC gear, and please just reach out to him if you ever have any questions on any of the items he reviews, he is always super happy to help.

    Cold Steel 4 Max Scout or regular 4 Max would make an awesome comparison. Stab into wood, stab into metal can, cut hard plastic jug or packaging materials, cut meat, chop soft bone, chicken/turkey, rope of various diameter, and clothing. Keep up the great reviews.Alex turned me on to your channel.

    I'm probably a bit late to the video, but I own a version of this Medford, and the only other piece that comes close to it, in my collection, is the Extrema Ratio Rao and then my cold steel 4Max.. that said.. a toe to toe video against the Extrema Ratio would be very interesting.. thanks for the good review

    That's one handsome GI Joe knife !, I've personally not seen a folder that in it's own right looks as good and as capable as the original fixed blade.... until now, I like it. My vote is for a Jerrycan/oil drum stabbing test and imho to swap the 'nail' for a coconut or watermelon would be spectacular and save me averting my eyes and biting down on a piece of hide.

    • @DirkWerning
      @DirkWerning  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Mr Fahrenheit I was also thinking of the Jerry can stab. Thanks fir the idea and love the coconut idea too.

    Really like this blade, does the pocket clip have decent retention?...if a knife has a really loose-poor pocket clip it will keep me from carrying it. Makers should pay more attention to pocket clips, as it keeps our pricey blades in our pockets...😉. Comparison would be Cold Steel SR1, and test would be cutting open can lids, batoning, and pry nails out of a board.

    • @DirkWerning
      @DirkWerning  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Damen0530 thanks. Yes the clip has great retention. Great ideas in the testing also. Owner said no prying but everything else is fine 👍🏻👍🏻

    I have a USMC FF, You can do what ever to that knife, no task will matter, you can even compare it with any fixed blade knife...It will literally handle anything you can toss at it. Punch it through a couple car doors or hoods ( if you can find a junker). Definitely one of my favorite knives.

    But will it cut a 4maxx on half? Lol. I would like to see if it can slice a straw in rings while the straw is standing. A comparison that would be interesting is the new 4maxx scout.

    Wow the blade is really sharp.. these who’re people are crazy .. this is a 800 buck knife.. why would it not be sharp
    And it should have a ice breaker

    • @DirkWerning
      @DirkWerning  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Glamlife Leesh you would be surprised, I’ve gotten more expensive vehicles knives that have not been as sharp. Should they all come razor sharp YES do they all..sadly no. I think this one works without a breaker. Stay tuned for the testing vids.

    • @glamlifeleesh5163
      @glamlifeleesh5163 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dirk Werning .. cool so what about the old played out washers and the fact it has no lock insert or frame lock stop... shit what about the fact it has ZERO EXOTIC MATERIALS.. and they want 800 bucks
      Their fucking crazy... the Chinese are crushing USA companies because USA is stingy and greedy this is a 350 bucket knIFE PERIOD

    • @DirkWerning
      @DirkWerning  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Glamlife Leesh so there’s nothing wrong with washers at all. There are tons and tons of knives using washers and there are some good arguments for washers actually. I will give you that there is no lock bar insert or over travel stop BUT Medford is NOT the only place that doesn’t use those items. Just because it doesn’t have those things does NOT mean it’s a crap knife. This lockdown bar is very strong you would have a tough time I think unspringing the lock. Is it a bit overpriced...yes I agree. Is it a $350 knife nope it’s worth more than that. Have you seen my torture test video using this knife? Might be interesting to you.

    • @glamlifeleesh5163
      @glamlifeleesh5163 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dirk Werning I will Have to check that video out and like I said..my hubby’s go to knife for protect is a fraid spyderco k2 custom and he loves it and it has the shit tiny brash washers too but it’s his go to knife so he dose not mind washers
      BUT FOR 800 bucks no excuse ..it SHOULD HAVE CERAMIC BERRINGS AND A LICK STOP AND INSERT
      THIS IS NOT A DAMN 2005 htm mad madd .. it’s 2020. The Chinese are literally Slaughtering USA competition .. and it’s sad because it done not have to be that way
      This fighter flipper is gorgeous but they skimped on details
      The best knife I have seen in 10 years is the Chinese green thron anax 300 bucks and INSANELY BEAUTIFUL REPLICA

  • @glamlifeleesh5163
    @glamlifeleesh5163 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    No lock stop..no berrings in pivot.. no steel lock insert.etc.. no exotic materials etc.. it’s a 300 buck knot at best
