Kitchen design and functionality is next level. Gotta love Aussie ingenuity. We have some of the best items in the World for our outdoor lifestyle. I think these would sell like hotcakes in the U.S.
I just wish you would show the prices for everything you do, including labour and fitment prices, even if your getting them for nothing, let us know what we should expect to pay
Men this has been a great success, a lot of through an organisation involved in the development process, bloody well done in the building of the prado.
Awesome video as usual. One piece of constructive (I hope) feedback. Been finding the lighting / exposure a bit low in some of these night videos. Looks good but I want to see all the details.
Very good tips with chabging out the water in the tank. I've had clear hoses to a pump and the end where I dip it into my jerry car actually grew mold. So regular flushing is important. Cheers.
Wonderful video as usual! I’ve got a free standing kitchen that you slide out as a drawer and that put it on its legs. I was a bit envy of those slide out kitchets until I parked on a lake beach and was really off-camber, it would be impossible to cook (there were no flat spots what so ever if you wanted to be close to water). The free standing kitchen has got each leg adjustable independently so I had to problem making it nice and flat.
Why is there so much negativity from people who probably have never posted a TH-cam video in their life?? Keep up the fine work Ronny for those who really appreciate what you do!! So many great ideas to be seen from these videos and comments.🙂
Impressive setup. But I chuckled when he said “The build is pretty much done”. LMAO! It’s never “done” when it comes to camping/overlanding/touring/off-roading vehicles 🤣 I bet he’ll be adding and replacing stuff for years to come.
The thongin at the start was brilliantly funny 😂😂 What an interesting idea with the kitchen set up, and it's so good seeing different companies like quick pitch rethinking the kitchen design where it is slightly different to what's out there in the modification world. Another great video Ronny mate, and Chris your Prado is really looking the goods so great work mate 👍👍
One of the reasons I've never been sold on draw systems is I find the storage solution (draws) takes up more volume and weight than what is stored. I think Drifta having no 'runners' has gone someway in solving that. I'd love to see one made with sheet aluminium and Teflon slides.
I would have liked to see a work surface next to the stove, I like to prepare and cook at the same time in my setup , seems like you need to walk around or lean over to get access to what you are cooking
Re: drinking water. I travel with missus and a toddler, 37 liter tank lasted us 3 days. I’ll be increasing it to about 76 liters as I want to be able for us to go off-grid for 7 days. That’s only drinking water, I’ve got a 60 liter bag (!) for non-drining water, we spent may be third of it overy the course of 7 days.
I'm not sold on the location of that water spout. I definitely would have put a pump with a tap somewhere else in the kitchen. (Could leave a emergency backup underneath) but I think it's exposed to too much dirt and mud where it's at.
Nice setup, but a little cramped with the Prado swing door. Also makes the fold down table on the door kind of useless. Don't get me wrong, if I had something that nice I would make the best of it. Dan Grec showed something quite simple but functional on his Jeep. Of course he is sponsored by the manufacturer it seems but also a nice setup.
Interesting concept, very functional. Personally I’d prefer the stove to pull out to the side with the lower table coming out from under the stove, so it’s not so cramped between the door. Top table wouldn’t need to lift up, could just be lift off for cleaning
Interested in the back light also. I think you mentioned that the light in the awning was a national luna? The looked very similar. Are they waterproof and do they only come in yellow/white (comparing against the pdp lights). Thanks!
Looking good brother hope to see more of this vehicle in future also Ronnie what awning is on the Hilux and where can I get a door arm rest many thanks?
how do you make the Prado level? with a kitchen coming that far out, sloping ground will greatly affect its working height and effort to open and close.
One thing the Prado falls short is the rear door. And it's the same problem Harry has too. It only opens to 90 degress and you can't use the drop down table attached to the rear door. A mod to change it so it opens more to maybe 145 degrees untill Toyota rectifies it.
The quickpitch kitchen seems to be an updated to the quickpitch mini kitchen on their site. Is this a new model that they're bringing out? Love the extra storage and as others said, the wood tops a very a nice touch! Great video guys.
I don't think this is their new model, I would say this model has just been re-think (rethought or remodeled) by Roni and Chris to suit their taste. I am pretty sure if you went to Quick-Pitch with an idea they could possibly help with anything.
Hey Guys, im a bout to hit the road from NT in my prado...has all the main add ons, but I want to pull out the seats at build single bed and basic camper set up in it....any pointers for unbolting seats?
would love to know where your sitting on weight of vehicle....we struggle with weight with 2 adults and 2 young kids and all camping gear etc....its amazing how all those extras add up...great series, go the shopping trolley !!
Hey Chris and Ronny what are the mounts you used for the awning? I have a roof top tent that you can’t mount an awning directly to so it gets in the way of opening the side window. Would love a solution. Cheers
My 3rd row seats when I took them out were 51.5kg, so the 50kg kitchen basically replaced them which is not bad. I find with all my bar work, sliders, roof rack etc I only have about 300kg of usable extra weight which includes people, water, gear etc, so not much room for extras, you must be bumping up against that GVM when loaded up I would think unless you have an upgrade. Could I ask what the camera gimbal is you use when filming at the rear of the Prado? I need to get rid of the jitters when filming, cheers!
Can you add a long rang fuel tank on them? Or is the standard tank large enough. I'm looking to buy one. Set it up as a tourer plus towing a four man camper trailer. Also keeps the missus happy with shopping space and kid space for day to day use.
The mechanix are infinitely better improvement over prior art in pullout/drop down kit. Albeit, too small. Constructively, changing from hob to flat plate grill will up thebcooking surface and adding a bottle hob for boiling off to the side is one way to fix the stove bottleneck. Horiz. ARB frig. is a cool mechanical but too high cost to footprint. Go vertical!
Loving the build videos - kitchen setup looks phenomenal. How is the stability of it when all fully extended? Seems a lot of weight cantilevered out. Cheers!
Hey Ronny, grettings from Europe. Very nice project but a little to much for me and where i live. I can not understand what suspension u use for it and also wheels and tyres. I will apreciate if u can get the links for those. Thank u and keep up with these awesome videos.
Hey Guys, I saw an ARB compressor go in in the rear quarter WITH a sub woofer on Ronny's Instagram. How did you achieve this? Was it a custom bracket? Cheers
Hook a hose to the outlet tap and blast away. It will leak water from the breather when full. So many tanks on the market operate in this manner. Common as 👍
The wood shelves sets the kitchen off...Excellent boys

Sorry just watched the earlier episodes and question answered \; wonderful build and will be implementing many of your mods to my vehicle 😀
That was a fatastic video. Thanks for outting it together and sharing your craft!
My god I would love to see that mechanism!
You answered my thoughts you do have a soft spot for a Prado
Would be a perfect first 4wd for either a wife or daughter.
Nice vid. Where can I buy that amber light youve got mounted on the rear door?
"And on that note we will table this conversation" That was an easy one man lol
I'm starting to like this setup more than Harry's shopping cart.
Pretty cool setup
Thanks for the handy water tips
Great build guys. Could you please tell me where the touch sensitive light mounted on Prado barn door came from?
Nice kitchen setup, but maby the door is in the way.
Cheers. 🍻
Happy holidays. 🎁🎉🎊🎄
Beautiful setup. +1 on the amber light in the rear.

Wow... the way things are heading there's going to be a 270 degree kitchen table available soon.
I believe I heard Ronny say "I want a Prado"...
What does the back door look like after frying? All the greasy smoke? Probably time to put a pull out range hood on top of the fridge.

50kg is light as! The 4WD Supa Centre Titan drawers are like 71kg for the Prado

Thank you very much for information, i just want to know about your kitchen gaz, where is the gaz thank?
Nice kitchen Harry would be spewing that he didn’t get one better kitchen thanks good vid
I’d like this in my tub setup build!
Bloody awesome compact kitchen in the boot of the Prado indeed & where can we download the blueprint for the Swiss Army Knife kitchen !!!
What is the price for the kitchen?
I'm guessing it's a little pricey.....
Needs a cost comparison with the Hilux build as well as a Ute with a tray.

I was thinking the same thing, the swing door table makes those little pull out ones redundant
I think the door table is for when you don't want or can't open the full kitchen drawer.
dream offroad kitchen

That's next level but Crikey that would cost my first born if made by Quick pitch.
Thanks for sharing
Tax deduction 🤷🏼♂️
Is this kitchen unit already on the market? Can only seem to find the mini kitchen by Quick Pitch.
Awesome

would love to know how much it cost do do the whole cargo and kitchen. and contact details to get that same rig done.

Did you replace the rear seats, 6 & 7 in the Prado prior to installing the kitchen and drawers?
Cheers

A prados too small for a family if the kids are over the age of 10 in my opinion.

Great looking kitchen, how do yo go with cooking smell through the car 👍
make sure its something you like to smell 😋
What are those hinge brackets for the lift over tabletop? I can only find lift over brackets that go to a 90 degree instead of the 180
