What's up with that second clear
(4050 not durable enough?)
I like the candy over it. Looks sharp

I've always wanted to gut one of the molotow chrome pens and try to spray it. For small details on 1/25 model cars, and a few of my 1/10 scale rc's, it's unbelievable how well it works. Just not durable enough for rc.......for real

4050 is not as glossy as 2k UHS clear, also it's harder to build up thickness with it, and for the best look of gold or most metallics, thick and glossy clear is a must, that's why we have 2 clear coats. 4050 UVLS is a must-do step, because it protects metallic from more aggressive solvent clear. If 2K solvent clear applied directly, it shifts metallic orientation and makes it looks flat.
