BG, the answer is yes. I always recommend doing a test piece if you are putting a different product over another. If both products ste Createx, you are good to go. Thanks for the question, and thanks for watching.
AWSOME brother Dan you should do an episode for mixing custom colors with candy like ROOTBEER AND TANGERINE OR BLACK CHERRY ! Thise are some colors I want to do oh also Great Britain racer green ! I only trust you for your instructions Your student El padre !

Hey Dan I need your help !! Seriously I was doing a painting and I opened my cretex detail violet and shook it up and I was using a little mixing cup ! I poured in my 4011 and I poured the violet in and the smell was horrible it smelled like sulfer and rotten onions or eggs it burned my nose and throat really bad I can barely talk and I got really sick I’ve been throwing up all day I can’t keep nothing down! Has this ever happened to you and what should I do I just bought it at hobby lobby ! I’m scared cause my throat really hurts and my nose burns ! Please help me !! In advice !
El Padre, createx is water based paint. There are no solvents in it. The reducere is basically isopropyl alcohol. You can reach out to createx. Sorry to hear you are not feeling well. Hope you get better soon.
@@TheAirbrushGarage I found out it’s a bacteria that gets in the paint at the factory it’s rare but it does happen once and awhile but last night was really bad and my throat still hurts really bad ! Thank you for the follow up !

A few questions that I hope you may provide links to if possible. I paint 1/25 scale plastic car models with an airbrush. Do you have a link for a small filter that can be used with an airbrush cup to strain the paint? What recommendations do you have for small bottles of 2K clear and do they need to be mixed as well? Thank you
Hi Jim, I am not aware of any small paint straining filters. I'm sure someone has them. I just never had a need to strain my airbrush paint. Also, I never heard of small 2k clear bottles. What are you referring to?

@@TheAirbrushGarage Just looking for 2K clear coat that you were speaking of. What brands do you recommend? You mentioned it is expensive unlike the Createx line of products that you can get in small bottles. Again, this is for 1/25 scale model paint jobs. Thanks
Jim, I use Spray Max in a can. It is a 2k clear, it cast around $25 to $30 a can. I use it for exterior jobs and thing that need durability. Like guitars or catchers masks for example. and once you pop the activator in it, it only last a couple of days in the can. I wouldn't use it on your particular application. I would just use a good rattle can Clear like Kylon. That's what I use. I hope this helps.
Rich, I use spray max. Here is a video I did on 2k clear. I started with Eastwood but now use spray max. They both are good but spray max is a better value. th-cam.com/video/lCdXhPNyX3k/w-d-xo.htmlsi=db2YDQD5GQ4-aDjS
Jan, If its from the factory it is a .35. And you are correct. there is no designation that I know of. They really should have one. Thanks for the question and I hope this helps.
Great video! I have watched/used candy 2-0 and know the recommended mixes but the questions I got answered with your video is my old Createx paints. I have a full bottle of bleed-checker and was wondering if I had to 'seal' the candies with 2k or could I still use my bleed-checker. I noticed that some have used illustration colors with candies and I have tested this. But what I found is, yes, you can use them together, I just can't seem to get the same intensity when I do it that way. But I still do it when I want a little pop to something like the guy below said on eyes or blood, etc. Thanks for the great information on using these!
Billy, I am glad you found the video helpful. The information you gave of your experience is very helpful, much appreciated. Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching.
I spray everything at 27 psi. I keep it simple. There are times to reduce preasure but very far and few between. Thanks for the question and thanks for watching.
Thanks for answering my question and now I have more questions; Top coat of 2K or K2 is to pricey for me. What are your thought on spray can enamel or lacquer clear top coat? Any thoughts on Createx Flair colors? Thanks again.
@@Exitwoundstudio Die, if it is not going to be exterior then yes regular spray can clear is fine bit if it is going to be exterior a great option is 2k clear in a can I like Spray Max. I have videos on that product as well.
John, you can add the 4050 to any of the createx paints for added durability. I have only ever used Wicked on lexan without the wicked. But it's been a while since I sprayed on lexan. If I were to have to do it now , I would add a drop or two to my cup. I like the way it makes the paint spray, and it adds more durability to an already durable paint. Oh.. I'm sorry. The answer is yes, you can. Lol. Thanks for the question, and thanks for watching.

How long do you need to wait in between coats of the candy?
