This is the best review of this product so far. I was particularly interested in the differences between this and the GT Neo, which you’d recommend and potential button placement issues. You covered everything I’d been unable to get answers to from other channels. Thanks.
Love your reviews. My Neo X arrived today and I'm now waiting for the Momo wheel I want to use. But I still like to watch reviews about the Neo X and all of your reviews are way more informative, honest and at the same time entertaining than others. Thanks for your work and stay like that. 😁
Thank you for the positive feedback matey & thank you for watching. Wow you got yours fast they not playing around with shipping. Momo wheel going to be mint on the xhub 🙌🏼
I have had wireless issues with my Simagic setup - but luckily I own the GT Neo, so switching to mag-link was an easy fix, with the added bonus of SimHub support. The addition of another mag-link compatible product is huge for someone like me that would rather not deal with wireless and the cord on my GT Neo hasn’t bothered me at all. Excellent review - you really do a great job! Thank you for your efforts!
I recently seen a post on FB about someone damaging their pins on their neo on a 3d printed qr mount and they solved the problem the same way you did. I guess that is another positive selling point for the xhub 🙌🏼 I don't mind having wire on my wheel either but if I can go without a wire I prefer to do so 🤷🏼♂️
I wish I had watched this video before I bought this. I use an Asetek wheel base, and didn't know you could skip the maglink. Great review as usual. Thanks.
Yea sucks to buy qr and an adapter ontop of that. I've been using the alpha mini and it surprised me how good the ffb is so can imagine with the U and the extra NM 😍
Very nice video, thanks for it! One question, this Neo X hub comes to replace the GT Pro Hub? Which one is better? I was going to buy a hub in 2025, but I don't know which one.
I don't have experience with the Pro Hub so unfortunately can't give you a definitive answer but looking at the GT Pro Hub I can see that the materials used for the wheel is slightly better than on the X Hub you also get 2 extra thumb rotary encoders. Personally I would recommend the X hub its cheaper it's also the newer product. I would not be surprised if the Pro Hub gets a update or version 2 released in near future to update functionality to what's avaliable today. I do not know or are aware of any update thou 👍🏼
The pro hub is better by a 1000% the gt pro is a full metal hub with way more buttons and has nicer buttons than Neo X. Neo x is plastic and has buttons that rattle like the gt Neo wheel and moza ks wheel.
GT Pro Hub is better, by a considerable margin. The new removable shifters and magkink support is nice, but the new hub falls short in all other areas.
I must correct this: the reason why the Neox paddle feels softer is that its paddle is longer than the GTneo's. With a longer lever arm, it naturally feels lighter. In fact, both the structure and the magnet size of the Neox and GTneo paddles are exactly the same.
Watching the video back I can see it was a poor choice of words on my part I should have used the word quieter rather than soft. Something I will pay more attention to in future 🙌🏼 not making excuses but English is my second language 😂
How does the Neo X round wheel compare with the Asetek round wheel comfort+? I have La prima button box with the round rim. The grip size/circumference of the rim feels small. I'm thinking of switching to the Neo X with a round wheel. Do you know which one as a larger grip size? Also is there more flex to the Neo X compared to the La Prima button box?
Hey matey I also have the comfort+ rim and I think quality is definitely better compared to the SiMagic rim I received but remember on x hub you can use whatever rim you want so you can buy momo, sparco ect... the rim i have for my xhub is slightly thicker than the comfort plus. As for the flex the on my forte wheel i have a little flex at the top of my rim (no where else) but definitely less than on X Hub but again honestly the flex is something you will never ever notice wile driving. Unless you really need a chunkier wheel i would recommend keep what you have matey 👍🏼
@@TheSimCircuit Thank you so much for the respond! I really enjoy your reviews! I'll keep my Asetek rim until there's a need to switch in the future. Saved me $300!
Not had allot of time on base to fully answer your question yet matey but what i can say is that I found the FFB and responsiveness very good 👍🏼 ooh tye alpha U I'm certain going to make you very happy😊
And simagic definitely dropped the ball how do you drop all the paddle addons but yet don’t release the push and pull when it’s old tech. It should have been released at the same time so people had what they wanted on release instead of having to wait or buy ones you don’t want for now.
I agree I would have wanted to see all paddle modules be available from launch 🤷🏼♂️ it's as you say if I bought the duel shifters and have to pay more later for push/pull it kinda takes away from the selling point of being modular. It is fantastic to see the different options available thou I can't think of any other wheel where you have such a choice of shifters to be mounted to a wheel. I am sure it be worth the wait.
Yea it definitely flexes when pushing on the wheel but like I said honestly you will never pick up on it will driving and I do think the camera actually makes it look worse than what it actually is 🤷🏼♂️
I hate those shifters that go clackity clack clack really loud 😒 So anoying and this new one you got is so much more quiet 🤫! This rocks ! I'm sold man ! 😎

Cheers matey, luckily the maglink does not cost too much I suppose 🙌🏼
i went through the same issues.. i like custom wheels and fanatec i had to pay that 150 hub tax. i went to the alpha u and been stoked.

I'm getting some South African in that accent there brother or am i mistaken?

Seems like everyone is reporting some what of flex in the wheels.
