You can tell that even living with this Terrible disease that she is so happy. I am fighting stomach cancer and have a very supportive loving family and I can tell you from experience that it makes a huge difference in one's life. I don't know what I would do without my family. Your mom is thriving despite this dreaded disease.

Gosh it's so sad this happens. My husband has dementia too and he spends most of the day looking at the floor or staring out the window. Our dog stays by him like glue and she follows him everywhere.

No unfortunately this disease causes immense aging in the face. If you see videos of her a few years ago you can see the drastic change in her face. Dementia is a cruel disease on so many levels
