Fun fact, which might explain why a lot of this game is so different from the movie. If I recall correctly. The team behind this were already making their own Wolverine game. Like it was in development for a while, and by the time the movie was coming out, they just slapped the rights of the movie on the game, in the hopes it would sell better. Course I'm positive it made the devs have to switch and change a couple things to better tie into the movie. But if I'm correct, then it kinda explains why this tie in game is pretty high quality for what it is. Comments correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that's right.
I think Gambit's inclusion in the movie might have been because Gambit was already created in the game and the directors decided to put him in the film. Allthough that's just a rumor.
They were also given a pretty early version of the script, which explains some of the scenes being the same but just slightly different. The team even commented they originally set all the Africa sections of the game on Savage Land, which is basically a massive jungle full of dinosaurs, but once they had to rewrite stuff to fit the movie, they ditched the dinosaurs and just set it in normal Africa.

Ready or not just dropped a huge update here recently if you want to do an update video on it in the future. It basically overhauled everything and gives you a much better and involved version of single player than the original did with a new teammate management mechanic where you monitor everyone's well being, fire the ones that give you trouble, and hiring new members
played this on my cousin's PS3 back then. I'd really love to re-play this again. I hope they release it on steam some day
Ah, Gman's a fellow Gambit enjoyer.
Oh you’ll love the new Deadpool movie
I loved this game when I played it years ago. Forgot it existed so that’s for doing a video on it and reminding me about it. Wolverine was always one of my favorite characters, not to mention this game was so much better than the movie.
That opening was sick! I will say that this game will be the benchmark for the future Insomniac game. While I expect it should run substantially better, I expect it wont reach the same levels of gory graphic brilliance that frankly should be mandatory with a Wolverine game.
This game really needs and deserves a remaster/remake ❤
So happy you reviewed this one 🤗
One of the best, if not the best movie tie-in games ever. This game was peak power fantasy.
Such a great game, I was blown away at the time that not only did we get an actually decent game based on a film, it was miles better than its film counterpart!
One of my favorite movies ever despite what everyone says
I’m so excited to see what insomniac does with their wolverine game
