Hmmm... I was rather hoping for the final fight from Super Mario 3D Land. While I didn't enjoy the game all that much, I thought the boss was a welcome challenge and creatively utilized Mario's platforming. I also enjoyed its sense of panic and really made Bowser feel like a threat.
I myself would have pretty much all of the Paper Mario final battles tied at Number 1 (except Sticker Star, because Autarch kinda convinced me it wasn't worth it). The first one had Bowser literally being all-powerful, then the Shadow Queen was just great, and the Super Dimentio gave you just complete disdain towards the guy, but then possesses Luigi and you just hate the guy and whoop his butt! Also, those Fuzzies on the train in TYD were just fun :)
yea i went with the battle against Bowser in Super Mario 3D World due to the shear size and old fashioned whimsy of the battle but it does end the battle in a funny but kind of boring taste but hell its still fun and its good to have an opinion RIIIIIIIIIGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I really love how you made the number 2 segment short and sweet as literally 2 out of 3 countdown artists have all spoke about the Baby Bowser fight from Yoshi's Island already. :P Totally agree with the number 1 btw. Cracking list to kick things off. :D
Cool video, but just want to add that Bowser also used some of Mario's actual moves in Galaxy (side-jumping, spinning and ground-pounding), so he not only knows how to use Mario's Power-Ups but also the techniques he uses to overcome Bowser's minions, and Bowser still gets defeated by Mario
Not a single boss from Paper Mario (the first one). What a shame..Seriously, one of my biggest WTF!? moments was when I tried to pick a fight with the old martial arts master who went Neo on me.
Super Dimentio is great in its concept, but completely disappointing as a fight. It took me less than one minute to beat him with no damage taken. Yet I don't know if it was luck, for I only beat the game once.
come on rabbid don't make fun of mario's weight, if a princess kept making you eat her cake every time she got kidnapped you would put on some pounds too.
Oh, hey! I remember this channel. I don't know how or why you ended up in my reccomendations, but I haven't seen you since your 240p days. Nice to see you again.
My favorite boss battle is the New Super Mario Bros Wii one as well, I remember playing it for the first time with my cousins in their Wii, they both died and Yellow Toad (me) ended up rescuing the princess, the final cutscene kinda messed up xD
It's not often that my #1 and a list's #1 align perfectly, but you picked my choice for best Mario boss, and I'm super happy you did. I only wish you'd mentioned the music, it could honestly be the most badass Mario music there is.
I wish more of the RPG Mario bosses were in here. Especially the hilarious ones, like Chuckola Cola, or the ridiculously difficult, like Bowser X from Bowser's Inside Story (he's a secret boss, and among the toughest in the entire series). Overall a good list though.
10) one of my favorite boss in the game 9) this boss is incredibly fun 8) I always find this boss interesting 7) great boss it is 6) my favorite bowser boss fight in the game 5) love this boss so much 4) dat organ indeed 3) I've always enjoyed fighting this fight 2) my favorite boss in the entire series 1) I find this one okay great way to start the mario month xD
the #1 fight was the only real Bowser fight recently that really amazed me. The one from the Wii U was also quite impressive. What makes those 2 so special is, that Giant Bowser's size actually DOES matter for once. In most other games, he just stands in the background and doesn't do anything special, but in NSBM Wii + Wii U, he's actually physically there and the whole body hurts you.
Wohoo a Mario boss countdown! Let's see what we got here. 10. At first, I was this guy was a joke since he was simple, but the twist really threw me off at the end of the battle. The 2nd battle, however was so satisfying just kicking his butt and bringing back your identity. 9. Oh shit. This battle is epic. I really like the challenge and theme to this battle. 8. You know what? You're right Will. This is like a Shadow of the Colossus boss fight which makes this fight even more awesome. 7. It's sad I haven't played this game, but this fight looks crazy especially fighting a boss that huge. 6. No doubt one of the best Bowser fights ever, and how funny that you'll are going to fight him in the future Will. 5. I actually laughed at this form of Bowser, but this really is no joke. The race to the top of the tower was pretty intense. 4. Another Bowser...oh well I'm not complaining. Btw, this is probably one of my favorite Bowser fights ever. When I hear the theme to this fight, I just knew that Bowser wasn't going to fuck around anymore. 3. While I can't stand Bowser Jr., I can't deny that this was a great battle. 2. This was an unexpected fight. I mean HOLY SHIT!!!! He's fucking huge! 1. Kind of saw this coming since this was in your best final bosses, but I digress. It's still a fun, intense, and crazy fight/chase thing.
Ah yes, a whole month dedicated to my favorite franchise by my favorite countdown artist. As a whole, this list is very agreeable and good. I would've put some things above others (Meowser is my favorite 3D Bowser fight, for instance), but overall it's well-thought out and I certainly liked it. As for me, an RPG has my favorite boss in the series. To leave out spoilers, let's just say it's the last giant boss of Dream Team. Take a feeling of being overwhelmed, then suddenly lose that feeling when you grow as well. And then multiply that original overwhelming feeling by a thousand near the end.
Ooooh, this oughta be good! 10) I was shocked and confused when Doopliss pulled that. I thought my game had frozen until I pressed A and saw that I was now controlling the shadowy Mario! 9) This was a very surprising and difficult boss (I ran out of Bro Flowers on my first playthrough...). Awesome music, too! 8) A good early boss in the game, though not one of my favorites. 7) This one was quite a shocker when I played Dark Moon! 6) Classic boss. Love it! 5) Haven't played it, but heard good things about it! 4) Another classic. I remember how much my heart pounded the first time I did this battle! 3) Haven't played this one. Looks really chaotic, though! 2) Yep, this is pretty much the only challenging boss in Yoshi's Island. I died so many times at first. 1) Another fight with a big twist, and it was really well-designed!
Sadly Im only 14 so i did not have these games to build up my childhood, the world today is all fifa and cod, when a good zelda mario or valve game comes along, people i know just dont care, i wish that I was born 10 years earlier...
Yeah, I wish I was born 10 years early instead of being 13 where people think that all teenager just play some game which is just the same every year. I'm the only one I know who has a Wii U!
TheRPGirl, for the most part that is true. Sometimes spin-offs are canon, but aren't important to the overall story. Spin-offs are pretty much ways for companies to try to give a series a new way to play without getting the old fans mad. Some fans don't count spin-offs as part of the series it's based on. Why, I don't know.
I knew the #1 from the start. I've played every Mario, and playing that version of Bowser, along with getting all the stars in that level? Terrifying. That was the first game my family ever played together, and we played for weeks on end to reach 100% completion together. Including all the stars on the bonus levels.
Concerning #1, am I the only one who prefers the final fight from New Super Mario Bros. U over the Wii one? While running away from Bowser as you manipulate him to create an escape route is a good idea, I much prefer the U fight, where you walk up to the top of the castle and go toe-to-toe with another big Bowser. Instead of running away, you fight him and Bowser Jr. head-on. Bowser's attacks are a lot more interesting in that fight than just swiping at you and and launching fire straight at you, as he does in most of the other games. Hijacking Bowser Jr.'s clown car and slamming it down onto Bowser felt so much more satisfying than mashing a giant red button at the end of a lava-filled hallway. Also, placing a Star Coin in the Wii fight was just kind of a jerk move, even if it wasn't that hard to get. On another note, after I first fought Doopliss in Thousand-Year Door, when you're supposed to press the A-button to jump up as the purple Mario, I thought my game froze instead, and I ended up having to redo the first part of that chapter again. I still hate that backtracking... and those Dayzees...
Ephraim's Vanguard Eh, that really didn't surprise me. Once the first fight ended, I was like "Really? That's it? Something's up." Then once I saw Mario, something clicked in my mind.
I'm not saying it was a surprise. In a lot of Mario games, what the game builds up to be the final boss will never really be the final boss- either there is another entity you must face- like in Thousand-Year Door, or there is another form, as is the case with a lot of Bowser fights. I saw the giant Bowser coming the whole time in both the Wii and U games. I'm just saying that the U fight felt more satisfying to me.
Ephraim's Vanguard Yea, not sure why I replied and focused on that topic..... Well, anyway, I was expecting the final boss from that game to appear on the list. Oh, Shadow Queen, how you kept me going with your correct form of challenge.
I literally fought doopliss the day before yesterday! And then right after that you mention PiT, my second favorite game I ever played?! Must say, I like your train of thought!
I would argue that New Super Mario Bros U has the superior giant Bowser fight, since not only is it actually a fight, but the threat is still very much there, Bowser Jr. adds to the panic, and the way you're supposed to kill him is really a lot of fun altogether. I loved this particular curve ball in the Mario series, but I suppose it's all up to you on whether or not this is a good fight.
Number 1 is from New Super Mario Bros. Wii, and I actually have that game. I remember that before Bowser became giant and started chasing you, I had finished the fight and was expecting an ending cutscene. But BOOM! Then Bowser comes out from the abyss and I start freaking out, along with my friend who was playing it with me. I was stuck on that level for weeks, until finally one day I barely got it. That boss fight deserves to be number 1 on this chart.
8:20 It's actually not Bowser using the suit. It's his minions using it's shape shifting powers to look like him. That's why in one of the last castle levels it zooms in on Bowser's tail; it's letting you know that this time, he's the real deal.
I'm hardly going to discount a boss from this list for 'being Bowser' or 'hey I've got a lot of Bowser on this list, I should have some other things.' That's not really how these videos work to be totally honest.
14:38 I always get goosebumps when i go into this Bowser fight. It might be because i love Bowser so much, or because this might be the hardest Bowser fight's ever
Although I beat that game many times and love it to death, I still feel that the best Bowser battle is in Super Mario Galaxy, where you get to fight him hand to hand. No other Mario platformer lets you do that, and it was epically fun.
***** What about Dark Bowser and the Dark Core in Mario and Luigi bowser's inside story? That fight scared me, just seeing Fawful come back stronger than ever is amazing
Compared to now, yeeaah they're pretty outdated but back then it was the best thing ever and revolutionary. And i like M64's graphics. It has a certain charm to it :3
Imagine this: A few years from now, Nintendo releases the Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword HD for the Switch. Rabbidluigi decides to play through it to see if he hates it less than the original. Eventually he reaches Koloktos, gets through the first half of the fight, and prepares for the behemoth to stand up. But as Koloktos slowly rises from the ground, Rabbidluigi realizes that this time, he doesn't have legs... Koloktos has TANK TREADS!
How could you not include the final boss in New Super Mario Bros U? He should be number 1, it's just like the one from the Wii but you actually attack him. You use Bowser Jr's clown cart to ground pound on Bowser. His attacks are also awesome, dodging his bouncing shell, his fire balls and more! I am very disappointed that this isn't number 1, and not even on the list! >:(
Yaridovich: from Mario RPG. The moment you step into seaside town, you know, as the player, that something is up, and as you complete the town leader's demands of fighting Johnny for the sake of the star, you realize that Johnny was not that much of a bad guy, all he wanted was to prevent that monster from getting his hands on it, and so, after a 1 on 1 with Johnny, Mario's party find themselves fighting Yaridovich a quite powerful boss that is somewhat relatively easy, but the setup is quite entertaining. So I think it deserves a shoutout. Sure Culex is in that game but that's more of an easter egg.
#4 Super Mario 64 was the first Mario game I beat so this battle holds fond memories for me #2 Love the music that plays while giant Baby Bowser is appearing
You know what's a feeling of being overwhelmed? New Super Mario Bros U where a giant Bowser and his son in a Koopa Mar against a tiny Italian plumber without a weapon or button to save him
You forgot to add how the music for Meowser, Elder Shroob, Boomsday Machine, Clown Car Bowser, Giant Baby Bowser, and NSMBW bowser is amazing on an almost unrivaled level- matched only by games like Brawl, Metal Gear Rising, and Sonic.
9:07 right when I 1st got that game, I joked about how it Bowser got a cat form he'd say "it's me, Meowser" then I watched The Runaway Guys' lp, and at the end Chugga told everyone that his name is Meowser my mind was blown cuz i had made a joke and i guessed right, and i wasn't even guessing! I didn't even know at the time that Bowser would have a cat bell
I think we can all agree that Super Mario World 2 has probably the best soundtrack in Mario games: The Underground, Athletic, Big Boss, Baby Bowser's final fight.
Great list! Hearing all these amazing boss themes reminds me, though. Have you given any thoughts to going back to editing music in your (very sparse) spare time?
I hope I'm not the only one who tried to time killing Bowjow in time with the end of his battle song loop. It's just so satisfying timing the shattering of the glass with the climax of the song( for a timestamp try 12:45 for a little buildup
Oh GOD, Queen Shroob. That battle was a nightmare, and getting to her was a chore in itself, but maybe that was because I was level 31 on my first time through, because near the end I got bored of battles.
When giant bowser showed up at the end of New super Mario bros Wii, my mind was blown. My heart was racing. His roar actually strikes fear to me. I was about 10 when I fought this boss fight. And it would always be one of my favorite boss fights.
Thank you so much, Rabbidluigi, for the image of a baby with Nicolas Cage's face which I cannot unsee if Lucifer himself tried to claw it out... and then could not unsee.
The bowsers from earlier battles (as in any boss encounters before final boss) in any main series Mario game with the the exception of the galaxy series and sm64 are fake bowsers made by koopas and contain a common enemy like a goomba or a koopa. Don't forget that bowser and the koopas practice black magic so this is why it is possible.
+ThatMarioGuy1 you must be joking, New Super Mario Bros for the DS was the best with the mega mushroom, mini mushroom (which was kinda crap) and the best power up ever, the blue shell :O
I remember the first time I got to the end of New Super Mario Bros Wii. I broke the bridge, Bowser fell, and then the Kamek reveal. "Oh, right," I thought, but then you hear the rumbling and this Godzilla-sized Bowser comes after you and roars hard enough to push you into the wall. My only thought was "...HOLY *BEEP*, I'M GONNA DIE!"
*Rabbid walks into Kuro's room, asking whether or not making a baby giant means its just a big baby or somehow more grown up* First option, dood... It just a giant fucking baby
9, 7, 5 and 4 are the only fights that I've played on this list. 9: Princess Shroob may not be too much of a threat, but when ELDER Princess Shroob jumps in out of nowhere, THAT is where the final struggle truly begins. Easily twice as deadly as her lesser sister, she is easily capable of taking you out to begin with. But then she goes final form. Hope you weren't relying too heavily on Peaches gifts. 7: Giant/Colossal suits of armour that want to either hammer or step on you. Where the hell is Mario when you ne- oh wait yeah. 5: Not really your regular kind of boss fight, but still a very enjoyable finale. Also, I never realised how much I wanted Meowser to be a thing until it was. 4: Can't argue with the classic battles, and this is definitely one of them. A proven boss fight formula crafted into a worthy final encounter. Sweet organ music too. Also, wait a goddamn second. RabbidLuigi, are you aware of the origin of that organ image in entry No.4? because I most certainly am.
10. That plot twist surprised me when I was younger. Very interesting fight. 9. I knew the Elder Shroob Sister existed but I had never heard her music til the other day. It was on joshscorcher's Darkest Mario moments is when i heard her music. Pretty kickass theme. I really need to play the Mario & Luigi Games. 8. Megaleg was an interesting boss. I remember the machine from Galaxy and it was pretty damn big. I liked the Bouldergeist more as a boss. 7. Knightmare looks like an interesting boss. I need to pick up Dark Moon. 6. Final Bowser in Super Mario World. Never played the game but the fight looks interesting. 5. The Cat Bowser fight. the level looks really flashy. I got to admit, didn't see that one coming. Never played 3D World or own a Wii U but I was pretty sure Bowser was going to be the Final Boss. In a Cat Suit, nope didn't see that coming. 4. Never played that game either but the music is pretty awesome. 3. Hadn't gotten that far in the game but that fight looks interesting. 2. I remember that boss fight. I was thinking which spot to be in so I can chuck eggs at Giant baby Bowser 1. Giant Bowser from the New Super Mario Bros Wii. I haven't gotten to that part of the game but it looks like it's going to be something. I was kind of expecting a few more bosses from the Mario RPG Games. But interesting list.
I think that the final boss fight from paper mario should have been on here because not only does bowser have the star rod which grants him all his wishes but he is huge and its in the most atmospheric places ever And the only way that Mario beat him was with story elements which is basically everyone wishing and putting their hope in him And also, the music is awesome
I remember when i first watched this video it was the first youtube i ever watched and it is still a great video 2 years later wow has it really been that long
That giant Baby Bowser fight still gives me some trouble. I don't think I've ever beat him on the first try. It takes me at least two or more attempts before I get him.
I liked Mario 3's Bowser. It required ingenuity - "oh, you have to stand where the blocks have been weakened, then get out of the way at the last second, and Bowser will kill himself!"
Hi joshscorcher! Well, that was a good fight, but I see why he didn't put it in.
*****
Did you think 3D World's was better?
Kara Forrenz Dimentio was amazing but sadly his fights weren't all that good I loved him and think he deserved better
yea i went with the battle against Bowser in Super Mario 3D World due to the shear size and old fashioned whimsy of the battle but it does end the battle in a funny but kind of boring taste but hell its still fun and its good to have an opinion RIIIIIIIIIGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If the NSMBWii boss wasnt atleast top 5 I was going to be a salty caramel
Rapier I would have, if he wasn’t #1
I was really happy that it was #1. NSMBWii was my first Mario game, so I have a lot of nostalgia from it.
I really love how you made the number 2 segment short and sweet as literally 2 out of 3 countdown artists have all spoke about the Baby Bowser fight from Yoshi's Island already. :P
Totally agree with the number 1 btw. Cracking list to kick things off. :D
I like the idea that the #1 was improved in DreamTeam where Luigi grows huge and goes into a SLUGFEST
How dare you put the NSMBW Bowser fight at #1 without mentioning the GODLY music.
TheDarkMuffin yea.. the music is fk great. (i even listen to it's extended version a lot) WHICH IS A FUCKING ACHIEVEMENT!
Gross profile pic
I find it funny how Peanutbuttergamer does Zelda month on November and Rabbidluigi does Mario Month on November
***** You do realize he said that he never heard of PBG when he did the first Zelda Month right?
MarkTHfull He said "PPG", not "PBG". It was somewhat of a joke of *****'s comment.
funnnybowser26 Oh well, i was just scrolling. I read as PPG =b PowerPuff Girls?
funnnybowser26 Oops... Sorry for that typo!
Alright, I get it, I messed up. Rub it in why don't ya xD?
Cool video, but just want to add that Bowser also used some of Mario's actual moves in Galaxy (side-jumping, spinning and ground-pounding), so he not only knows how to use Mario's Power-Ups but also the techniques he uses to overcome Bowser's minions, and Bowser still gets defeated by Mario
so where the FUCK is the fight with bowser in sunshine? BEST VOICE ACTING EVER
That boss is way too awesome to be put on here.
Yo super Mario sunshine Bowser is so awesome, when he tried to enter for this list, rabbidluigi said "Sorry, no professionals!"
RadioactiveMoth please don't mention that voice. It sounds like a knockoff Mr. Krabs
Thank you for putting NSMBW final boss fight at the end!! That's one of my favorite mario boss fights as well!
Not a single boss from Paper Mario (the first one). What a shame..Seriously, one of my biggest WTF!? moments was when I tried to pick a fight with the old martial arts master who went Neo on me.
I'd personally have put "Super Dimentio" on this list, but hey, opinions.
I agree. Super Dimentio was insane. Classic concept, but putting Luigi and Dimentio together almost seems...dark. It's like possession.
Super Dimentio is great in its concept, but completely disappointing as a fight. It took me less than one minute to beat him with no damage taken. Yet I don't know if it was luck, for I only beat the game once.
Andres Chaves still harder then the number one on this list.
Too bad he was easy, but that doesn't take away the fact that he's EPIC.
@@GODOFAWSOMENESS1 No it's really not. For Super Dimentio you could just hold down Bowser's fire, and it's pretty much over.
come on rabbid don't make fun of mario's weight, if a princess kept making you eat her cake every time she got kidnapped you would put on some pounds too.
But if you had to travel around the whole universe you would lose q few kg (lbs for u Americans)
Oh, hey! I remember this channel. I don't know how or why you ended up in my reccomendations, but I haven't seen you since your 240p days. Nice to see you again.
Yeah, those weren't my best days to be honest. Glad to have you back.
rabbidluigi "Ok. lets check the comments. 240p We meet again..*Oh for fucks Sa-*
I have bad internet, I always watch videos at 144P😢#Lifeat144p
My favorite boss battle is the New Super Mario Bros Wii one as well, I remember playing it for the first time with my cousins in their Wii, they both died and Yellow Toad (me) ended up rescuing the princess, the final cutscene kinda messed up xD
bowsers inside story?
Exactly! Using the Dark Star Core, Fawful in his most evil state, and pure evil its self using a figure of bowser's body!
ikr, my all-time favorite Bowser fight, because Fawful is awesome and playing as
Bowser against Bowser is amazing
Hold up... I see no Mario And Luigi Bowsers Inside Story... Thats like.. the best game ever.
SO TRUE, PLAYING AS _HIM_.
Not really
It sucks so much
It's not often that my #1 and a list's #1 align perfectly, but you picked my choice for best Mario boss, and I'm super happy you did. I only wish you'd mentioned the music, it could honestly be the most badass Mario music there is.
So did Bowser make it on to this top 10?
I like seeing SMW Bowser flying around on the World Map. Just give him a goofy voice going "Hi guys!"
SteelandSouls15 lol clap clap
The question remains.
What's the name of Rabbid's Yoshi in Thousand Year Door?
(I'm guessing its name is Jackass)
All of these questions and more will be answered next time on Dragonball Z
_To be continued_
Hatty Hattington 10 episodes later :
Now prepare yourself Goku, for I am- *to be continued*
And it has tank tracks
Ah, I remember Number 5 and especially Number 1. Both times my brother and I were practically yelling at each other to pick up the pace. Ah, memories.
I wish more of the RPG Mario bosses were in here. Especially the hilarious ones, like Chuckola Cola, or the ridiculously difficult, like Bowser X from Bowser's Inside Story (he's a secret boss, and among the toughest in the entire series). Overall a good list though.
10) one of my favorite boss in the game
9) this boss is incredibly fun
8) I always find this boss interesting
7) great boss it is
6) my favorite bowser boss fight in the game
5) love this boss so much
4) dat organ indeed
3) I've always enjoyed fighting this fight
2) my favorite boss in the entire series
1) I find this one okay
great way to start the mario month xD
What about Dark Bowser? Or the Fawful express!?
Or the giant bowser from dream team
Connor Taylor no... just, no...
HE PUTS THE MUSIC AT THE END HE IS BLINDED
Not the fawful express

1. Kind of saw this coming since this was in your best final bosses, but I digress. It's still a fun, intense, and crazy fight/chase thing.
I think you meant you hate Boswer Jr., since Baby Bowser is the one you fight at #2, not #3.
TheKingOfTown Yeah I forgot that Bowser Jr. and baby bowser were two different enemies lol. Thanks for that.

What about the Paper Mario games & Mario & Luigi RPG games?!?
what about the original super Mario RPG game that has the best music ever!?
watch the video for ONE MINUTE
He took Elder Princess Shroob from MARIO AND LUIGI Partners in time.
He had Elder Prinsesse Shroob From MARIO & LUIGI PiT and Dooples from PAPER MARIO The Thousend Year Door.
Ooooh, this oughta be good!
10) I was shocked and confused when Doopliss pulled that. I thought my game had frozen until I pressed A and saw that I was now controlling the shadowy Mario!

This is the exact thing with me, I feel like I was kinda born too late.
eTechMaster22 theo higgins Well, I've got a time machine, you guys want to go back?
JRPGPirate Sure, let's go to 2004
eTechMaster22 OK, just give me a sec *punches in 2004*
*checks to see if everything's working*
OK, we're good to go.
*Starts time machine*
Yeah, I wish I was born 10 years early instead of being 13 where people think that all teenager just play some game which is just the same every year. I'm the only one I know who has a Wii U!
I knew MegaLeg was going to be in here! One of my favorites! It's easy, but genuinely fun, a lot like the other Galaxy fights.
I hate when people say spin-offs aren't part of the series that they are based on.
That's kinda the point of them being spin offs isn't it?
fangk12345, yes but people have their own little logic with these things sometimes.
I thought spin-off meant tied to the same universe with possibly the same characters, but not canon to the overall storyline (if there even is one).
Why, I don't know.
yami rah Probably because the content in a spin-off can be so foreign at times.
That battles a ripoff of the first paper mario
did you see quarter guy's top 5 best and worst boss battles?
I literally fought doopliss the day before yesterday! And then right after that you mention PiT, my second favorite game I ever played?! Must say, I like your train of thought!
I know it's your list but in my opinion if put the dark bowser fight from inside story at #1
I would argue that New Super Mario Bros U has the superior giant Bowser fight, since not only is it actually a fight, but the threat is still very much there, Bowser Jr. adds to the panic, and the way you're supposed to kill him is really a lot of fun altogether. I loved this particular curve ball in the Mario series, but I suppose it's all up to you on whether or not this is a good fight.
No Dark Star Core from Bowser's Inside Story? Ohhhh, I feel feint.
ik im 5 years late but its too easy
*"Mario Month, an entire month dedicated to celebrating the big-fat-red-plumber guy."* My favorite thing you said so far in this month.
What if Bowser used a Power Star?
Nostalgia Works he would be smart then
In SMG2 he eats a grand star and becomes massive.
And it became one of the worst battles in the franchise.
@@asmodeus58XX it's not that bad.
Nostalgia Works basically like normal but fire can’t kill him anymore.
3D Land had an amazing final boss
8:20
It's actually not Bowser using the suit. It's his minions using it's shape shifting powers to look like him. That's why in one of the last castle levels it zooms in on Bowser's tail; it's letting you know that this time, he's the real deal.
To be totally honest, Rabbid, don't you think there's just a bit too much Bowser in this list?
I'm hardly going to discount a boss from this list for 'being Bowser' or 'hey I've got a lot of Bowser on this list, I should have some other things.' That's not really how these videos work to be totally honest.
Kirbachu5 To be fair, Bowser battles are generally better than regular bosses in most Mario games.
rabbidluigi True. Plus, most Bowser battles are actually pretty good. Except when they're not, like Super Mario bros. 2 and such.
Evan Passarelli wtf
+Kirbachu5 Bowser comes in: WHAT DID YOU SAY
14:38 I always get goosebumps when i go into this Bowser fight. It might be because i love Bowser so much, or because this might be the hardest Bowser fight's ever
my friend, my bro and i all beat cat bowser. it. was. HARD. we were only 11, 12, and 9 year olds.
i was 9. bro was 11, friend was 12
we also beat big bowser in new super mario wii with same bro and friend.
Good job
noice
Although I beat that game many times and love it to death, I still feel that the best Bowser battle is in Super Mario Galaxy, where you get to fight him hand to hand. No other Mario platformer lets you do that, and it was epically fun.
One day you will notice me senpai. Nice countdown btw
Hey, I know you! :P
carl van gent XD hey bro hows it going :D. Rabbid and Scorpion are kinda my inspiration for starting my channel so yeah I watch all their vids
Cool :)
I still choose Elder Princess Shroob as my number 1, and Josh did a great job explaining it.
Josh considered her the darkest Mario moment/villain but he didn't say she was his favorite battle of the Mario franchise
I know, just that whole evilness factor
***** What about Dark Bowser and the Dark Core in Mario and Luigi bowser's inside story? That fight scared me, just seeing Fawful come back stronger than ever is amazing
Stone Fight of games i played, i went with Princess Shroob. Unfortunately I haven't played Bowser's Inside Story
Check it out, it is amazing
Aw come on, no Super Dimentio?
Yeah, the entire video I was just waiting for a Super Paper Mario boss! Ah well... Everyone has their opinion...
dimentio is a amazing character and amazing model but all of his fights dispite Super dimentios model are bland af(as fuck)
completely agree.
I really love the final boss of Super Paper Mario. One of of my favs in any RPG, and in my favorite Mario game.
Bowser didn't look derpy in Mario 64 on purpose, it's because of the N64's shit graphics
Or you know Mario 64 was a launch title.
Don' care
Compared to now, yeeaah they're pretty outdated but back then it was the best thing ever and revolutionary. And i like M64's graphics. It has a certain charm to it :3
They are really cute. Also, why are there 2 guys with persona profile pics.
CUZ PERSONA ROCKS XD
Imagine this:
A few years from now, Nintendo releases the Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword HD for the Switch.
Luke Hutchings Maybe he never played NSMBU at that date
ah maybe...
Luke Hutchings totally agree
I just had the most insane freakout hearing that old Doopliss theme on here. He's a cooooool duuuuude.
Doopliss tormented my childhood, got stuck for about two years on him.
Beating him was really really amazing for me, even though it wasn't too hard.
I personally love the final boss battle against King Boo in Luigi's Mansion. Just feels so... satisfying.
#4 Super Mario 64 was the first Mario game I beat so this battle holds fond memories for me
#2 Love the music that plays while giant Baby Bowser is appearing
You know what's a feeling of being overwhelmed? New Super Mario Bros U where a giant Bowser and his son in a Koopa Mar against a tiny Italian plumber without a weapon or button to save him
You forgot to add how the music for Meowser, Elder Shroob, Boomsday Machine, Clown Car Bowser, Giant Baby Bowser, and NSMBW bowser is amazing on an almost unrivaled level- matched only by games like Brawl, Metal Gear Rising, and Sonic.
#9 is my favorite in the mario series. The perfect amount of challenge as well as my favorite boss theme as well.
1:00
Already knows it's going to be a good list!
9:07 right when I 1st got that game, I joked about how it Bowser got a cat form he'd say "it's me, Meowser" then I watched The Runaway Guys' lp, and at the end Chugga told everyone that his name is Meowser
my mind was blown cuz i had made a joke and i guessed right, and i wasn't even guessing! I didn't even know at the time that Bowser would have a cat bell
great list :) looking forward to this month
I think we can all agree that Super Mario World 2 has probably the best soundtrack in Mario games: The Underground, Athletic, Big Boss, Baby Bowser's final fight.
This month is gonna be so much hype.
I thought the NSMB Wii Bowser fight was epic the first time I played it. The twist with Kamek got me. The whole Run-away-from-Godzilla feel was great.
Finally someone that shows Megaleg the kind of respect he deservers
Great list! Hearing all these amazing boss themes reminds me, though. Have you given any thoughts to going back to editing music in your (very sparse) spare time?
A Rabbid with a Luigi cap.... PERFECTION!
So much Bowser. I know that he's supposed to be the main antagonist, but jeez, I didn't expect him to land on the list so many, many times. XD
In my opinion, The Shadow Queen is the most original final boss in Super Mario Games
The Mario world final boss is also surprising as you never need to throw upward before the fight
Thank you so much, Rabbidluigi, for the image of a baby with Nicolas Cage's face which I cannot unsee if Lucifer himself tried to claw it out... and then could not unsee.
Damn, he still got a "size matters" reference in there
when i did mario bros wii i was about very young (BUT played lots of old and new marios) and the bowser ON THE WII was so intense
The shadow queen in a thousand year door was my favourite boss fight, she was hard and intimidating and loosing meant the end of the world
The bowsers from earlier battles (as in any boss encounters before final boss) in any main series Mario game with the the exception of the galaxy series and sm64 are fake bowsers made by koopas and contain a common enemy like a goomba or a koopa. Don't forget that bowser and the koopas practice black magic so this is why it is possible.
FINALLY! someone who remembers super mario wii!
ThatMarioGuy1 same here
God i played that game for hours on end
That game was my childhood
+ThatMarioGuy1 Charles Martinet agrees with you.
8:50
OMG THAT IS SO CUTE AND SO FUNNY AT THE SAME TIME XD
*Rabbid walks into Kuro's room, asking whether or not making a baby giant means its just a big baby or somehow more grown up*
First option, dood...
It just a giant fucking baby
I'm surprised there weren't more RPG boss fights on this list - the super secret boss fight from Mario and Luigi: Dream Team was pretty hilarious.
I was thinking which spot to be in so I can chuck eggs at Giant baby Bowser
1. Giant Bowser from the New Super Mario Bros Wii. I haven't gotten to that part of the game but it looks like it's going to be something.
I was kind of expecting a few more bosses from the Mario RPG Games. But interesting list.
I'd like to mention that the boomsday machine does NOT have fireball cannons. They're more zappy than that.
the wii bowser fight if it kills my ears with headphone, imagine what mario hears
I think that the final boss fight from paper mario should have been on here because not only does bowser have the star rod which grants him all his wishes but he is huge and its in the most atmospheric places ever
And the only way that Mario beat him was with story elements which is basically everyone wishing and putting their hope in him
And also, the music is awesome
New super Mario bros u was definitely an answer to his question at the end with its final boss
I remember when i first watched this video it was the first youtube i ever watched and it is still a great video 2 years later wow has it really been that long
That giant Baby Bowser fight still gives me some trouble. I don't think I've ever beat him on the first try. It takes me at least two or more attempts before I get him.
Dude you included Doopliss. Automatic like and subscriber.
When you called cat bowser "Meowser" I spit my dr. pepper everywhere XD
Well that is the name of that form of bowser
I liked Mario 3's Bowser. It required ingenuity - "oh, you have to stand where the blocks have been weakened, then get out of the way at the last second, and Bowser will kill himself!"
Something just occurred to me.
Bowser is like the fusion of Anguirus and Gamera, after being hit with a power-down ray.
In Super Mario 64, Bowser's 2nd fight has him teleporting, and he can tilt the stage with his jumps.
