And the Galloping Gourmet always agreed!! 😉 “NEVER use a “Cooking Wine” in your food”!! “If you won’t drink it, it shouldn’t go in the food”!! Wines labeled “cooking wine” at the grocery are a far cry from a bottle of drinking wine. And you WILL taste the difference in your food. Only use wine that you’d also buy to drink. And I’ve heeded that advice from her for almost 50 years now, and it’s proven itself literally countless times. After your comment about wine, I just had to write this 50 year old tip that’s proven true all these years. It costs a few dollars more, sure. BUT, you and your significant other can enjoy a glass while you’re cooking! 🙂 And, it will make the food taste all that better! Great video…

I typically go with 1.5lb to 2lb which gives me plenty for three people and some left over for additional lunches or meals
