    WoW, I cooked my first chuck roast in my new Foodi tonight...I did a few things a little different, when prepping my meat, and making my gravy, but OMG it was divine... I cut slits in my roast and stuff garlic chunks in there and then seasoned it with salt, pepper, and minced onion..I then of course followed your directions on browning it except, once browned, I put my roast on the rack that came with the foodi, at the lowest point. I browned my onion chunks then put 2 cups of broth and cooked for 1 hr...opened it and took the roast out, which was so tender and juicy...I added carrots and potatoes and cooked for 10 minutes in juices as you did...I then removed veggies and added a little slurry to gravy and more salt and pepper. Once it thickened some I added a can of cream of mushroom soup to my gravy and OMG it was great...BTW tysm for such a great video, it truly helped me out. Have a blessed day.

    Thank you so much for this video. It’s so much easier and faster than some of the other videos on here. My cats had tried to get into the chuck roast I just brought in and thankfully they just opened the package instead of getting to the meat. I had to cook it quickly and I’m still new to my ninja foodie.

      Hey! Ummm! Do you live in the Palm Beach County, Fl area Doug!? I ask bc certain cities/towns use the same brands from what other cities might use that's why I ask, that's all... or so I've thought anyway! And the brands you were using like the Beef Broth are the brands I pic to use too. Anyway Doug! I liked your video and look forward to using my brand new Aqua Blue Ninja Foodi. Then.. I found your channel. Then I saw all the delicious things you were making. The way that roast looked when you were showing how tender. Well, my Ninja Foodi will be on the UPS truck on Friday. And then... I subscribed, hit the notication bell and gave you a thumbs up.

This weekend I bought my second Foodi, I decided to go with another 6.5qt because I like the size in my kitchen, it fits better under the cabinets. I needed it for multiple cooks at the same time, it worked out awesome. having 2 going does put off a lot of heat though.

    My process: Meat seasoned and left in fridge for about 3 hours. Sear meat in cast iron pan and the place in foodi with cup of water mixed with pot roast seasoning. Cook for about an hour. Remove meat, add veggies and taters and cook for 10 minutes. Place meat back in the foodi and air fry for about 10 minutes. Let rest for 5 then eat!

    Hey Doug! How tall is the machine when the Air Fryer lid is up? I'm in a TINY kitchen and I don't know if I have the overhead clearance when the top is flipped up to fit in my cooking space. Could you possibly measure the height of that at some point? I'm not in the market for a new cooker yet, but when it's time, this one looks amazing.

    • @uhn-uh-bash-id-lee-k-ran
      @uhn-uh-bash-id-lee-k-ran 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Pattymac Knits ....I have the 6.5 qt Ninja Foodi and when Air Fryer lid opened it measures approximately 21 inches. I’m guessing since the 8 qt about 2 inches taller...it needs 23 to 24 inches of clearance. I hope that helps. I too have a tiny one butt kitchen....so I leave my Foodi on my stove top. I’m not able to open my microwave without closing air fryer lid first. Hope that helps.
