It's a cool detail that whenever you play as a western operative the voicelines your character speaks are in english, but they're in russian when playing other, more "native" factions. Such cool details make this game above all others.
You had a MUCH easier time getting to Dead City than I did, I crossed through Truck Cemetery into Army Warehouse. Anytime I entered Yantar everything that could go wrong did go wrong. Also getting a Ecologist suit as a disguise lets you go basically anywhere.
I went the opposite way and went through Cordon and then north to Garbage then Agroprom up to Dead City. I think I missed a zone but I just rushed and tried to avoid combat as best as I could. Got to Dead City and had to kill a Chimera lol
Today I tried playing for maybe the 3rd time, exited north of rostok, literally 10m from the guards exit and my view kept zooming in onto something, and I died after 2-3 times. Idk what that was.
Leather jackets are your friends in this playthrough. Look for the faction specific jackets, because you can repair them without any tools. You just need field sewing kit to fix them to 100% by changing parts (usually cloth and military cloth) and then you can use it for disguise. Disguise is dependant on the condition of the suit and jacket is light and easy to aquire. Also people become suspicious if you stand in front of them in disguise for too long, so quickly do your trades and get out (or trade with npcs from behind their back, but I consider it kinda exploit-ish)
Also, remember to use headgear/helmets that cover your face like gasmasks or balaclavas, although it doesn't appear as if you're wearing one in the third person model it will affect too the calculations of how fast npcs become suspicious of you.
Working cars have been in STALKER since.....Oblivion Lost, I think? Grok places them sparingly in pointlessly large maps for easy traversal. Otherwise, you can't really find them. There are a couple of Nivas and tractors in Darkscape that you can drive.
It's actually fun to drive a vehicle into a Whirligig to make it fly, then spawn a bunch of pseudogiants underneath you so they form a stack of grotesque mutant monster flesh (you can add literal "fleshes" too)...and then they might either explode or become floating corpses of demented do0m! th-cam.com/video/3ZiBBUvL1N8/w-d-xo.html
Originally. Dark Scape was supposed to be one of a few maps who would be used for vehicle transport and chases. On release, Dark Scape and vehicles were scrapped from the official release
19:15 You were close! The waypoint is basically a custom quest marker and behaves exactly like one. There's an option in MCM (off by default in GAMMA) to show that quest marker on the HUD as well. The pins, on the other hand, are annotations that you can add to the map, and you toggle their visibility on and off individually the way you did. Fun series so far. UNISG is a blast to play, especially if you lean into the disguise game.
If only you could find AND REPAIR vehicles. I know you can in Goldsphere. Would be awesome to find a military Jeep, fix it up and mount an MG in the back. G.A.M.M.A would be even more amazing with Pacific Drive like elements. Equipping your vehicle with artifacts to resist anomalies in the zone would also be another sweet granular progression mechanic.
A little heads up, think about the activity in the area that you want to set your spawn at. It's possible to get caught in a death loop If there are enemies at the spot. You could always go to an earlier save though. It's tough but is fun. Enjoying the content

Hey Qloud, back with another great video! Hoping you read this. Saw you picking up the automatic shotgun, but you really need to check out barrel condition first before using any gun. A shotgun with a ruined barrel will do much less damage than an intact one. This is shown in the tooltip when you hover over items, e.g. (Broken Barrell: 3.9% damage) the second part means that this shotgun will only do 4% damage of what it can do if it wasn't broken. Default damage for 12 gauge is 180, so it means every shot of this shotgun will be equevalent to about 7 damage. That is even lower than a 9x18 pistol round even if all balls hit, point blank! Meanwhile the old shotgun you had a 60% damage barrell, still broken and worse than a new one, but it will do about 100 damage, ultimately better than the first option! You will waste less ammo, doing more damage. Always check barrell condition before anything else when picking up broken weapons to use as last resort! :)
Just finished SoC for the first time I couldn't get into vanilla clear sky with all the changes they made so I'm waiting for mods, you think we'll get stuff like gamma or call of Chernobyl for xbox?
The car is the fastest way to get through Darkscape because it originally was a map where the player escaped the army's onslaught by car after vising X-18.

When you have found the mod, Right click, then find the reinstall text, then click reinstall, it then gives you the options of the 4 seasons. Install the one you want. should be all done.
The problem with the soulslike mode is that it makes playing certain factions nigh impossible because unless you have a sleeping bag, you basically have to play it like Ironman in some respects as you could wind up in a location that sees alot of enemy traffic. As you found out in Darkscape, thats only a temporary UNSIG hideout, frequently you get all factions spawning there one way or another.

So i discovered this when doing a pyromaniac ninja run (melee and explosives only run) but if you melee you knive then press the scroll wheel (fast melee button) you get this glitch that allows you to melee REAL fast. It can be done inginitely until your knive breaks. This may be useful when you die and lose your gun
I’m addicted to hunting down stalkers, breaking down weapons, storing parts. Still using my TT33 starting pistol… it’s been rough. Im one part from completing multiple 100% weapons after 20ish hours. (USP, VSS, SKS) Wish I had a parts repair kit, still haven’t seen one.
Absolutely no complaints from me if you drop the souls-like mod my man.. i cant imagine it'd make for great video production if/when you get stuck in an infinite loop of dying.. i can also see how itd get discouraging to continue the series after a while!

Note : In Gamma there Is an hidden secret. The Hunter backpack mutants parts bonus Is a passive which works even if you Place the backpack in you're inventory, the backpack Itself Weight only 1kg so ...to me Is worth keeping One, Also when you unlock the achivement by skinning 200mutants (i believe that Is the Number )you get quadruple chance to double tour loot from them , so go kill some mutants Stalkers😊
Maaaann.... Playing as UNISG is tough as hell. Except for the mercs, everyone else in the zone is your enemy. This makes you life insanely difficult. I tried to play an UNISG run once, but couldn't keep it for long. Ps.: Remember to follow to tutorial about backuping your mod configuration, otherwise, once you update the game, you will have to do it all over again.

The cars have been in for a while now only in darkscape though unfortunately because I really like the vehicles it would be really cool if they added the working storage spaces in the vehicles and perhaps having to fuel them.
Why are you so surprised? Stalker was ALWAYS planned with vehicles, they just never made it to the end game. The first game even has leftover files for spawning one, although it doesn't work. It also has the BTR (armored vehicles that shoot at you), and there's actually a bug in the first game that if you get close and spam F (use), you CAN glitch enter into one lol. A TON of other mods also have functioning cars, the one i like a lot is lost alpha, might not be pretty like the others but it brings back a lot of the original planned content. Weird that Gamma has cars but no car damage and condition, no trunk, and no script for area transport (other mods teleport you IN the car)
You dont need to have debug mode on and you dont unlock the factions that way. You need to beat the main story to permanently unlock the factions, writing the names only appears them for the current new game session. Also if you press Z while selecting factions, you can play as a zombified stalker.
Someone havent played lost alpha im guessing 😅 you need to give it a try, wonderfull immersion even tho quite old and clunky id say its the best stalker game oyt there
As ISG getting Eco outfit early on is such a blessing, but on other hand makes it way to easy. Aslan's patches lottery got nerfed some time ago. Its ok, but not great. Rewards are kinda meh. Also from what I remember UNISG give you Psy Helmet in their main quest, but I believe you can still get it from Sakharov with disguise.
Can you do a settings overview to show how you're getting over 60 with good visuals? My 3060ti rig with only get like 30-40fps without game looking like trash(but I don't know how to optimize lol)
Disable resource intensive settings, such as interactive grass, and in the launcher set your shadow quality to the lowest and change it in the game menu that works for me
I know im a bit late to the party. What about grabbing different clothes/armor off of some of the people you killed to blend in a bit more? If you have to shoot it out, they won't know what faction you are from.
Dude, i am playing UNISG for a while aswell. the Brain Scorcher in 0.9.1 is complete BS. Just make a hideout on the Merc Base,then go for a clear sky outfit, after you find tools go for a ecologist disguise.
this update introduced some more bugs and some of the ammo is broken as well, 7.62*51 ball round does so little damage that there is no point using it anymore
The name of that guy in the dead city is Dusman, pronounced like Doucheman (man pronounced fast like sun). It means "enemy" in Bosnian, I assume it's the same in Russian.
Is there a certain thing I have to enable to see staches on the pda in gamma? I can’t ever see them or anything. And also I never find loot in anything except wooden crates
In GAMMA stash locations are most often gained as quest rewards. They exist in the world before you're given the coordinates, but they have no loot in them till you're provided the location.

the maps don't really cater to that.. though stalker 2 is 3x bigger than anomaly, it would probably make more sense in that game

and put your pistol in knife slot, knife also works from backpack, that way you can run pistol and 2 main guns

Normally you unlock UNISG by beating the 2 main campaigns

Is it just my impression or gamma devs, in this 0.91 version, brought back the autumn vegetation theme?
I had that same pistol bug from the beginning. Had to switch to another pistol. So annoying XD
Same thing with the Fort-17 pistol.. It was the first weapon that I upgraded and was gutted to find out it was bugged..

You can just rip the patch off your armor and that should be good enough for a "disguise" unless I'm misinterpreting that mechanic.
Thats not the way it works. You need a patch and a outfit of the faction in a good condition.
You don't need debug mode on to get those factions, you can also press Z to get the Zombie faction too.

As ISG getting Eco outfit early on is such a blessing, but on other hand makes it way to easy. Aslan's patches lottery got nerfed some time ago. Its ok, but not great. Rewards are kinda meh.
Also from what I remember UNISG give you Psy Helmet in their main quest, but I believe you can still get it from Sakharov with disguise.

Can you do a settings overview to show how you're getting over 60 with good visuals? My 3060ti rig with only get like 30-40fps without game looking like trash(but I don't know how to optimize lol)
Disable resource intensive settings, such as interactive grass, and in the launcher set your shadow quality to the lowest and change it in the game menu that works for me
I know im a bit late to the party. What about grabbing different clothes/armor off of some of the people you killed to blend in a bit more? If you have to shoot it out, they won't know what faction you are from.
Dude, i am playing UNISG for a while aswell. the Brain Scorcher in 0.9.1 is complete BS. Just make a hideout on the Merc Base,then go for a clear sky outfit, after you find tools go for a ecologist disguise.

this update introduced some more bugs and some of the ammo is broken as well, 7.62*51 ball round does so little damage that there is no point using it anymore

The name of that guy in the dead city is Dusman, pronounced like Doucheman (man pronounced fast like sun). It means "enemy" in Bosnian, I assume it's the same in Russian.
Dushman is hindu,farsi,turkish and bosnian word meaning enemy.

Cars were in the original game STALKER games. It was used for a set piece but I forget for which game.
Reminds me of DayZ driving. The engines just not made for it man.
I believe the Forts are all busted and this is a well known bug in Gamma. Hopefully it gets fixed in future updates

In GAMMA stash locations are most often gained as quest rewards. They exist in the world before you're given the coordinates, but they have no loot in them till you're provided the location.
