Schuyler makes the best bibles , im very happy that they are going thinner with designs now. Allans are awesome BUT if you ever decide to get one be carful and make sure you get the Jongbloed editions. Some of the Charfleet bound ones are iffy and with China book blocks for certain translations, I'm a huge fan of yapps and Allan makes the best yapped out covers. Their best bibles are the KJV Longprimer and Nasb Reader editions.
Nice journal brother and hi from Silverton OR.😉

The KJV Canterbury costs $75 to ship! Disgusting! Greedy merchants - shame on them all. Allan does it for free. Go figure

Where are you at and what priority shipping did you choose? I just received two Schuyler Canterbury KJV Bibles (full size) delivered together in one USPS Priority Mail medium sized box and the shipping was $14.00. Shipping from VA to TX took about 3 business days. Ordered on evangelicalbible.com

@@jamesmackenzie1336 That's a shame, especially considering that Schuyler bibles are printed and bound in the Netherlands.

Proverbs 20:1 King James Version (KJV)
20 Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise.

Agreed. I love these scriptures too (i.e. the whole counsel of God):
"Now may God give you of the dew of heaven, And of the fatness of the earth, And an abundance of grain and new wine;" - Genesis 27:28
"And wine that maketh glad the heart of man, and oil to make his face to shine, and bread which strengtheneth man's heart." Psalm 104:15

@@TheEverydayPilgrim3 that verse is talking about juice my friend. God tells us not to even look on alcoholic wine. Fermented wine.
Wine in the Bible can refer to juice or alcoholic wine. God does not want his people to be drinking alcohol. That's ridiculous!

    • @TheEverydayPilgrim3
      @TheEverydayPilgrim3  4 ปีที่แล้ว

@@jfindlay333 I'm sorry friend, but you cannot say wine was only juice... It was fermented, as all juice was preserved through fermentation. It contained alcohol, otherwise God would not warn his people to not drink too much wine and get drunk. Drinking wine (alcohol) is not the problem, the heart is. Anything can become an idol: food, wine, sex, TH-cam, and even unbiblical traditions... God bless.

@@TheEverydayPilgrim3 I didn't say it was only juice. I said the KJV uses wine for both fermented wine (alcohol) and non fermented grape juice.
      Guess you'll have to explain
Proverbs 23:31-33 King James Version (KJV)
31 Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, when it giveth his colour in the cup, when it moveth itself aright.
32 At the last it biteth like a serpent, and stingeth like an adder.
33 Thine eyes shall behold strange women, and thine heart shall utter perverse things.

@@TheEverydayPilgrim3 Isaiah 65:8 King James Version (KJV)
8 Thus saith the Lord, As the new wine is found in the cluster, and one saith, Destroy it not; for a blessing is in it: so will I do for my servants' sakes, that I may not destroy them all.
New wine is "in the cluster"
