I own a swift diesel 2020. One of their last diesel car which they sold to us. Although the car is tin ka dabba, it gives us an average of 25-30kmpl and on highways while driving at speeds of 90-100, i even get 30-35 kmpl. Even the hybrids and current cng’s car will be put to shame in front of it’s mileage.

@@ranjandudeja1984 i have mentioned the reason already. Turbo petrols have 30 to 40 percent more torque and power output . 1.5 turbo petrols can give much better torque than 2 liter engines. Ev will give efficiency and turbo petrol more power and torque . So no deficit in power.

Nice video. Government should also think about industries who are deploying waste directly into the Air and Water without any filter. Atleast diesel cars have filter - DPF 😛. For Example, Yamuna River before entering in Delhi its clean and after it is super dirt. Thanks to nature, it cleaned Yamuna river now else Government was only wasting tax payer money.

O K , diesel cars not available , try running a heavy truck 1. up a slope 2 . with a petrol engine 3 . behind a lot of people marching in a procession to protest against something say raise in fuel prices . That is try crawling up a slope in a petrol driven vehicle with a heavy load without using the clutch !
There are 2 set of companies one is focused on EVs whereas another set is focused on Hybrid Vehicles. For now the price difference between a hybrid and Diesel is quite far. Maybe that difference will be more less after BS6 Phase 2 norms. The Govt. should also consider Hybrid vehicles as an alternative fuel itself by imposing less taxes to increase the acceptance. EVs are not the future here in India for atleast 4-5yrs from now but hybrid is.

It's a big myth. 90 percent car market is Maruti. Maruti was using FIAT diesel engine. Fiat stopped diesel engine supply in India due to cost and BS6 norms. Maruti became handicapped, still couldn't find another agency to provide diesel engine. All popular SUVs are using diesel. JEEP, TATA HARRIER, MG HECTOR, all using FIAT 1.9 LITRE diesel. Diesel will never stop in india. It's Maruti Marketing only. Let Maruti work on technology rather than marketing.
From last 15 yrs I drove diesel ⛽ engine cars...I don't kno exactly whenever I drive petrol vehicle It seems under power comparatively to diesel in same segment as such. Now I owned 4 cars Ecosport,Endeavour,Creta & only one Venue is in petrol..which really sucks my pocket in terms of average. Now In upcoming future I need to switch to an electric ⚡ car...but still no infrastructure built-up by govt. Or private companies. I've done the math, 1 Lakh/annum value depreciation doesn't hurt. Hence a 10-11 lakh Rupee Diesel or a 13-14 lakh Petrol seems to be the upper cutoff.

There are 2 set of companies one is focused on EVs whereas another set is focused on Hybrid Vehicles. For now the price difference between a hybrid and Diesel is quite far. Maybe that difference will be more less after BS6 Phase 2 norms. The Govt. should also consider Hybrid vehicles as an alternative fuel itself by imposing less taxes to increase the acceptance. EVs are not the future here in India for atleast 4-5yrs from now but hybrid is.

It's a big myth. 90 percent car market is Maruti. Maruti was using FIAT diesel engine. Fiat stopped diesel engine supply in India due to cost and BS6 norms. Maruti became handicapped, still couldn't find another agency to provide diesel engine. All popular SUVs are using diesel. JEEP, TATA HARRIER, MG HECTOR, all using FIAT 1.9 LITRE diesel. Diesel will never stop in india. It's Maruti Marketing only. Let Maruti work on technology rather than marketing.

From last 15 yrs I drove diesel ⛽ engine cars...I don't kno exactly whenever I drive petrol vehicle It seems under power comparatively to diesel in same segment as such.
Now I owned 4 cars Ecosport,Endeavour,Creta & only one Venue is in petrol..which really sucks my pocket in terms of average.
Now In upcoming future I need to switch to an electric ⚡ car...but still no infrastructure built-up by govt. Or private companies. I owned one electric ⚡ scooter Ather also but no charging stations available..If any Super fast chargers are available they alway occupied by other electric vehicles.
So the new & must say thing is this my friends...Yes Diesel engines are dying...

There is no deep and futuristic thinking behind vehicle regulations policy, like actively setting up of the network of recharging centers as well as facilitating servicing infrastructure for electric vehicles before imposing mandatory and unrealistic legislations. A large number of modern vehicles come with high degree of automation such as ADAS and other electronic controll systems, whose high costs and questionable long term reliability have to be bourn by the hapless customer , and, there are no rules or regulations about this aspect.
