If I was looking at buying an electric car, I would choose the iPace over the Tesla.
Buildings already have standardised power points and fittings, so it makes a lot of sense for the government to standardise electric vehicles connections.

Having driven a Tesla P85D in ludicrous mode and experiencing that acceleration that I have only prev. felt on a 1000 sports bike, or initial drop on a roller coaster I have to agree they are the future. I felt the instant acceleration is sort of like the rush you get from a turbo hitting boost or the powerband of a 2-stroke , its that addictive that it will be really hard for people to not treat every traffic light like the drags. Despite that I still love my manual VF SSV and the sound it makes and will only get rid of it when forced to ... or electric cars get a hell of a lot cheaper.

Everything has it for's and against's. Do you know the range on a charge?
As a petrol head I have a request, you've had the Torana (wich I love) and a HO.

Personally, i don't know what all the negative talk is about EV race cars or bikes
I have no bias to any engine, even at the drags the VB boys tell you how crap the Rotary engines are, and they tell you this while they are being smoked by them!
They were all about Superchargers and hated Turbo cars, and now look, they are all Turbo fan boys now.... pack of hypocrites.
End of the , who cares?? Its all good fun. Its clever engineering.
We are only trying to make wheels turn.... How clever to use magnetic fields and not detonating hydrocarbons, to make a force, which turns a crank, to feed a gear box and eventually get to the wheels...
Look at all the mechanical loses that have been removed.
Horses for courses, i love a petrol engine, especially a spirited throaty one
There is no replacing that... Which is great, means it keeps its appeal.
But there is room for other engine types.
I'd love to see an Electric Arial Atom

Do not worry dudes! Fair ‘nuff, engine sounds and fumes are a big part of “vehicles” but we will ALL eventually understand & love the future. Torque, burnouts*, handling, fun & pure adrenaline will still be there.
We whinge about fuel prices and we get ill because of carbon monoxide (amongst many many other environmental factors), so why not save our planet from human destruction and roll with the pretty good alternatives.. and they WILL get better. Anti gravitics & zero-point devices are just round the corner. (But should have been commonplace 50 yrs ago)
Clean, high octane fuels exist but keep getting shelved by the oil-oligarchs.
Times are a changing my friends.
*rubberless tyres? HEMP is very very useful & versatile & clean & quick growing & restores soil conditions etc etc.
Calm down pot heads! Hemp is non psychoactive or whatever, it’s just an alternate version of bamboo/ grass with crazier properties and isn’t being utilised why??
    Bio fuel?
It just goes on... I’m not a king of wisdom but don’t you shun me trolls/ ignoranus’.
This sh*t is true! We can’t keep guzzling up the tectonic plate lubricant (OIL).
But we can NEVER let motor sports die!!

EV’s aren’t green for any sense of the word, you charge them from a coal fired power station that has an efficiency level of under 30% by the time it travels a few hundred kilometres to the grid. The manufacturing of the battery is an environmental disaster and then disposal of the waste is just the same. Sure they accelerate awesome but their heavy weight destroys tyres, brakes and economy.
