We went last summer for lunch with our 3 kids my wife and myself, we had a 130 appointment. Before we went, wife was in a bad mood and kids were fighting, I was worried this was going to be a train wreck. But after relaxing in the waiting area and then being led to our table it was some how one of the best dinning experiences ever, the food the service the atmosphere changed our family for the rest of the day.
One of my first dates with my husband of 40 years was a day at Disneyland and dinner at the Blue Bayou. He made sure we had a reservation and he requested a seat by the water. It was wonderful.
I did the Blue Bayou dining package November 2019, it was so nice. We had a great meal and we were able to view the Fantasmic show up front. They even gave us take home cushions. You have to go at least once!
The last time we went to blue bayou one of the cast members pointed out to us the there’s a shooting star that goes across the ceiling. Fun Disney fact!!! ❤️
Love heading to the Blue Bayou when I can; I didn't realize the lack of Monte Cristo with dinner which just meant I *had* to get surf and turf. Because it was my birthday, they gave me a little dessert for my birthday which was pretty awesome.
"Electrical Flies" LOLOLOL Bwahahaha. Oh man, you make my day. I love Cajun and look forward to trying it when I visit (hopefully this year). The place seems so atmospheric. I've been to New Orleans several times and love it. Thanks for the great meal in the Bayou!!! Ahhhh. I'm happy and refreshed. Hugs from Papa Scott
Scott Rousseau actually go outside to downtown Disney and eat at the Jazz Kitchen. Most dishes are great. They do have the café De Mond beignets. We have had most things on the menu didn’t like the jambalaya or the mac & cheese dish. Everything else was excellent. Also the restaurant in New Orleans square only eat there for lunch. Much better servings then dinner. Dinner you do get more but more rice not the meats. Enjoy.
Chris and Amanda flirting with each other was so awesome. I ride Pirates Of The Caribbean and I always wonder what that restaurant was and now I learned something new. I hope to experience this place during one of my future Disney vacations.
I ate here a couple years ago and was struggling real hard to see my steak lmao... but definitely recommend everybody to try this at least once 🤟 Great video guys!!!!
When I rode Pirates at Disneyland Paris, I saw Jack Sparrow himself playing chess with a little girl right on the dock of Captain Jack’s. It was truly adorable
My Husband and I loved going there for our 5 yr anniversary! You can pay $12.50 to split a main dish and then they give you each your own full portion of all the sides. We split the rib eye! It made it more affordable and didn't over fill us so we could still run around when we were done :)
The the blue bayou restriant is a good place to eat haven't been there in 20 years last time I was there at Disneyland visiting from St Louis Missouri went there for lunch and eat their catch of the day sandwich and watch the ⛵ go by the pirates of the Caribbean for a an hour and got in line to write it
We've only eaten here once because we wanted to have the experience. It was really dark, but also pretty awesome because of being part of the ride. Overall we loved it.
I had my first major date with a girlfriend at Disneyland in about 1987, and it was the first, and so far only, time I've eaten at the Blue Bayou. We were walk-ins, but that was years ago. I had Cajun chicken and rice. The flavoring was great, but the meat a little tough. We were impressed with the ambiance and the active sky. The wispy clouds moved subtly across the moon, adding to the impression of being outdoors in the dark. The effect was so convincing we were quite shocked when we went outside, and it was still bright afternoon. It's an experience, and everyone should try it at least once.
Dining at the Blue Bayou is an amazing experience. I’ve only dined there once-on my birthday-but the atmosphere is great and the food is amazing. While the prices are high, I think the whole experience-great atmosphere, incredible service, and top-notch, delicious food-is completely worth what you pay. The only thing I would do different and will try to do in the future, is to not be sat at a table too near the shack with the banjo player. It’s a very short piece of banjo music, but it’s played repeatedly over & over. It makes sense for the ride because it only happens as your boat passes, but if you sit in a part of the dining area close to it, you hear it over and over and over. It was a little annoying. However, if I went there tomorrow and the only table available was the same one, I’d still do it!
Had a reservation when we went there. It was all worth it. The Louisiana Lemonade was the best lemonade I have ever had. Hope that we go there next time we go to Disneyland.
Me and my wife celebrated 25th anniversary there. I was all that I thought it would be. Excellent food, felt like we were in New Orleans. I can remember all the times I was on the ride and thought I would love to eat there one day. Amazing experience. Our table was under a falling star. I just added to the magical experience.
I remember as a kid I’d probably go to Disneyland about once a year so I’ve been there a lot. I remember on the pirates of the Caribbean ride I’d see people sitting in the dark at tables with a candle in the distance. I was obsessed and would BEG my dad if we could go there (which is crazy because I hated eating at Disney, I just want to go on rides)! Lol. Anyways my dad always said no. It’s probably WAY expensive. So finally, one year it was my birthday and I begged my dad to take me to Disneyland and most importantly take me to the blue bayou! I was so excited he finally agreed (he made more money then) lol. Anyways as soon as we got in the park at opening we made lunch reservations right on the water when the restaurant opens. It was so awesome. I remember everything was delicious. I got the Monte cristo which was so good. Just an awesome experience, especially being just me and my dad. 😊
Miles is the cutest! You guys are going to have the BEST time in a couple of weeks. Disneyworld is amazing! Went spontaneously with only 2 weeks to prepare and I dont know how we managed to do everything, but it is a LOT different than Disneyland as far as the fast passes go. And each land is about a 20 minute bus ride away. Have fun!
Had a couple great meals there. Weird to think what the dining experience would be like with some sort of showing going on..... I wonder what kind of show they were thinking of making in the beginning. A pirate themed show? New Orleans jazz? Either way, great video you two!
Went there back in 2018 and absolutely enjoyed it. The atmosphere is amazing and the food was great. We finished out entree and were deciding on whether or not to have desert but there was a fire alarm that went off outside in the New Orleans area so we had to evacuate before we had a chance for desert. That was okay because we were stuffed full from our entrees anyway. It didn't inconvenience us even the slightest but they comped our entire meals. Such an awesome gesture.
Thanks for sharing! We love the blue bayou so much! The ambience is amazing and the food is delicious. I had the surf & turf, husband and mom had the rib eye SOOOO good 😁🥰😋 And the gingerbread crème brûlée was delish!!!! Hush puppies were good too. Can’t wait to go back, 2020 was a bust :(
@@robm9462 Oh cool! If you're thinking Blue Bayou, they offer a "proposal package" where they bring out a customized dessert with a message in chocolate, champagne flutes, and sparkling cider. The waiters all wait nearby in anticipation and then will cheer if/when they say yes.
My family ate here in 2015, it was a cool experience. We got the monte Christo, roast beef, and chicken. Everything was good but the chicken was nothing special. I think it was $106 for the three meals if I remember right.
Great video, and you two are the cutest! I just scored a Blue Bayou reservation this morning for our October trip. Im so excited. It looks like they’re now serving the Monte Crisco for dinner? I hope that’s the case cuz that’s what I want.
I promise to go back when I can have a glass of wine with my dinner. It's an affront to nature to spend that much on a dinner and have an iced tea with it.
It is a fun thing to do at least once! The Gumbo is also very good! One more tip if you want to save a little money, they let you split a meal for a small fee, and you both will get a side salad or gumbo (at least you could last time I went!)
This is the first positive post on this restaurant I have seen in years. The two times I have been there service was forever long and food was terrible for the price. Felt like I wasted 4 hours each time. Glad you like it. It could of only gotten better.
Ate there last May, it was a bucket list experience! I will say, the food is overpriced ( but what isn’t at Disney??!), but it’s well worth it for the ambiance!
Seems like the Louisiana lemonade kicked in at the end there.... Hey, is there any video that has been done behind the scenes of that place? Trying to build a diorama of it but working from very dark photos is proving nearly impossible. But a good behind the scenes look around there would be great.
we have walked up many times without reservation but only by being very nice and willing to wait. BTW, you didn't mention that the bathroom is without a doubt the fanciest in disneyland(except club 33).
Went to DIsneyland for my honeymoon in 2003 and we were lucky enough to get a "walk-in" to the restaurant. Half the food was good, but the rest wasn't. I hope they've improved since then.
Hey Chris and Amanda, my family and I were in Disneyland last week, (Jan 7, 10, 13), and I kept my eyes peeled for you guys. Were you there on those days?
I always ate here when I was a kid in the 90s and the early 2000s, and the food really wasn’t that good, so I haven’t eaten there since. Maybe it’s time to try again!

Chris getting frisky there at the end. lol
The last time we went to blue bayou one of the cast members pointed out to us the there’s a shooting star that goes across the ceiling. Fun Disney fact!!! ❤️
Gingerbread crème brûlée? That sounds good! Blue Bayou is so cool
You two couldn’t be any more enjoyable to watch. You always give our Wednesday’s a lift.
Wait... Did Amanda say "Bye, you guys!" Or was she making a Chris-level joke and saying "Bayou, guys!" Instead?
Benjamin Kleber you win!! 😂😂
Love heading to the Blue Bayou when I can; I didn't realize the lack of Monte Cristo with dinner which just meant I *had* to get surf and turf. Because it was my birthday, they gave me a little dessert for my birthday which was pretty awesome.
I want to eat there sometime! It’s on my bucket list to do while I’m at Disneyland. I love your videos and can hardly wait for your new videos
“Chris and Amanda flirting for ten minutes straight” 😏
I love your chemistry! It's so sweet how on the same brain wave you're both on!! You make Disney just so much more fun 😊
One of my favorite restaurants at any Disney park I have visited...the atmosphere is absolutely amazing!
"Electrical Flies" LOLOLOL Bwahahaha. Oh man, you make my day. I love Cajun and look forward to trying it when I visit (hopefully this year). The place seems so atmospheric. I got engaged here!!!!! So great. Love it
Provost: "They dont use that door anymore."
Me: "HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT!?"
Chris and Amanda flirting with each other was so awesome. I ride Pirates Of The Caribbean and I always wonder what that restaurant was and now I learned something new. I hope to experience this place during one of my future Disney vacations.
I remember wanting to eat there so bad every time I went on the ride. When I finally got to go it was so cool! Love it.
I ate here a couple years ago and was struggling real hard to see my steak lmao... but definitely recommend everybody to try this at least once 🤟
Great video guys!!!!
I love requesting a water table so worth the wait!
I have a ton of those light up ice cubes! The lemonade is delicious!
I just have to add...: "ca-rem bluelay"??? Bahahaha. So funny. You two are sooo giddy in this video. Hilarious.
When I rode Pirates at Disneyland Paris, I saw Jack Sparrow himself playing chess with a little girl right on the dock of Captain Jack’s. It was truly adorable
Oh the pirates of the Caribbean ride. I always thought the animatronics in the restaurant was too notch real. 😁
My wife made reservations a few years back for my bday. It was an awesome experience. Well worth it!
My grandparents loved Blue Bayou. I need to make a reservation soon!
World Tour is so soon, I’m soo excited! I’m super excited for Paris and Aulani! ❤️❤️

This is great advice splitting dishes
The editing in this video is wonderful
Such an amazing couple. you two are awesome
Felt so lucky to eat here! It’s phenomenal!
Can’t beat a water side table 😍

Awww, this is my favorite video of you guys. Love, the love. 💚🤍💚
A LITTLE expensive? I grew up in Long Beach, 20 minutes from the park. We never could afford to eat there.
Truly a wonderful place. And yes it definitely is expensive... glad the 3 of you enjoyed it. 🤗
I love this joke of Chris just being a low-key creepster 😂😂😂
Very coincidental that you posted this! I am finally going to eat there this weekend! 🍽
Yay!!
How did you get reservations? Is there a specific time (PST) I should put my alarm 60 days in advance?
Great Vid! One of my favs
I absolutely loved this video and watching the both of you have so much fun! 😊 can’t forget those ice cubes, absolutely must 😂

But you WILL miss the magic band system when you come back. It's literally everything you need all in one place.
You can order those lighted ice cubes on amazon 😊

I ate there a year ago today, the Blue Bayou is my favorite restaurant of all time!

Food is amazing! Cant wait to go back!
Dont forget that this is inside POTC. Love watching the boats go by.
Love watching these videos. Makes me want to go back real soon.
This is my absolute favorite place to eat! The atmosphere, the food, everything. My wife and I also got engaged there!
Jack Scarbrough that’s an idea 💡thinking something like that or the cliffs in palos verdes 🌊

This is a great channel. Keep it up.
I love Disney because they will work with your allergies which is amazing!
Was that a Tarantino reference about waiting for the cream? Never thought I'd hear a Tarantino reference on this channel!
You have sharp ears. 👍🏻
Now that he had said this. I now trust his videos!!!
Great.... the ice cube bit was funny....
I just love you guys so much! Thank you for all that you do!

#ProvostParkPass
was wondering how many chairs did #CameramanGreg walk into filming the trip to the table? ,👔👔👔👔
All of them. 😂

My friends have been lucky enough to walk up, but it’s veeeerrry rare. I hope to make it in one day! 🙌
The Danielle Denise the one time we ate there we walked up. I didn’t even know about reservations. That was back in 1992 though.
Was there last weekend and walked right up for dinner
Loved this one!
Thanks, i needed this new thumbnail 😂😂😂
I promise to go back when I can have a glass of wine with my dinner. It's an affront to nature to spend that much on a dinner and have an iced tea with it.

I love the provost park pass
I always justify the price of the Blue Bayou by getting the Fantasmic Dinner Package. Can't wait for it to comeback!
This is the first positive post on this restaurant I have seen in years. The two times I have been there service was forever long and food was terrible for the price. Felt like I wasted 4 hours each time. Glad you like it. It could of only gotten better.
We ate there for Mickey’s 90th birthday party!! Loved everything about it! Didn’t see the bill because it was too dark!
“Babe, what’s in your pocket!!!”
Mmmm count: 11 😛
I liked it when the souvenir light was Buzzlightyear or Tinkerbell.
I love you guys so much!!!! :)
Love how having a child does not stop you from going to the park and making videos
Blue Bayou is awesome. Only at Disney would you dare leave your stroller unattended for such an extended length of time.
Shanghai Disneyland also has a Blue Bayou style restaurant called Barbossa’s Bounty.
Ate there last May, it was a bucket list experience! I will say, the food is overpriced ( but what isn’t at Disney??!), but it’s well worth it for the ambiance!

Amanda at the end must have tried the blue bayou wine.
I love how you can eat dinner with the illusion of eating outside in the Bayou with out having real mosquitoes eating you!!
Looks like you have to take out a second mortgage on your house to eat there. LOL. GOOD Food and you can’t beat the atmosphere.
By far the best sit down restaurant at Disneyland. It's a bit on the pricey side, but well worth putting on a bucket list.
I never knew there was a light in the menu🤯🤯🤯
It would be really cool to see a video on Captain Jack's!
I heard that this restaurant was part of the club 33 the blue bayou
It would be great if they had some people playing jazz music while you eat.
we have walked up many times without reservation but only by being very nice and willing to wait. BTW, you didn't mention that the bathroom is without a doubt the fanciest in disneyland(except club 33).

Hey Chris and Amanda, my family and I were in Disneyland last week, (Jan 7, 10, 13), and I kept my eyes peeled for you guys. Were you there on those days?
Have you done a Club 33 video? I couldn’t find one.
Go Amanda! You can do it!
