My round: 1) Feeling like southern sweden, confident it is, Gothenburg. Dead on. 2) South Korea, no clue where. Picked a random town, 4k points. Not bad. 3) Thankfully I've had Strabane in Geoguessr before, didn't spend too much time finding exactly where it was but ended up with 4,900 points. Happy. 4) Norhtern Argentina? yeah 300 points, brilliant. 5) Guatemala? no clue. Essentially no points. Great 14,892. I always mess up on the last rounds, I can never play this game properly.
I have a hint. When the streetlights have a straight black and yellow pattern, it is Japan. When it's a diagonal black and yellow pattern, it's either Taiwan or South Korea. Greetings from Brazil, you're awesome mate.
The round that you guessed Puerto Rico for, you'd had that round before! The houses looked so familiar to me, but the woman in the blue jacket sealed it. Also, I will never be sick of 10 country challenge.
More than that, it was "Go calafate chalten", and undoubtedly referred to El Chalten (where he clicked) and El Calafate (another town in Argentina just south of El Chalten) to which there are many buses from Puerto Natales (where it was). I have been to all three and totally failed to get it when I played along!
The "yellow diamond" is a street sign meaning "main road" (others have to give way to you) and is used in many countries including most of central and eastern Europe (and others too).
I remember the Tijuana one as well and this time I made the same mistake as the first time and chose Argentina. Both times! Never learn from my mistakes.
Great, addictive, loving it! What do you think about a series where you would choose a country and had like 20 min walk around it, pointing clues for future rounds, sort of educational for both viewers and you, cheers
I played along with you, for the first time ever. I love these videos. I did some rotating, scrolling, and zooming, so I could read more textual information. Interesting note: my guess for the last one was Mexico, although I didn't pick the right region. In Mexico, there are many gates in front of houses and bars on windows. Maybe it is because crime has historically been pretty high in Mexico.
YO THE FIRST ONE I LIVE 20 MIN AWAY I'VE WALKED ON THAT ROAD 8 TIMES AND MY BROTHERS SCHOOL IS 1 MIN AWAY FROM WHERE HE IS! It's very close to ullevi. (btw my bro saw kevin hart there once)
Round 1: Everywhere looked Swedish - it looked like a big city, but not like Stockholm, so I guessed Gothenburg. 721 m, 4997 points. Yay! :) Round 2: Saw Korean writing, didn't look as northern as Seoul, so guessed Daejeon. 322 km, 3975 points. Round 3: Was looking through Ireland and found Omagh. Guessed south of that in Enniskillen. 75 km, 4740 points. Round 4: Was tricky - Sun in the north, as well as mountains, let me to believe we were in South America. I guessed northern Argentina (bummer...). 2523 km, 831 points. Round 5: Looked like Central America, but buildings were very US-like, specifically L.A. like. 1. You were right here with people going for Stockholm because I did 2. Same as in the third round, but holy shit, I was really surprised to see you also chosing El Chaltén. 5. Only 1401 pts this time though :( 19293 points in the end
I looked it up, the Tijuana round was in "Geoguessr - An Urban World - No moving around #4 [PLAY ALONG]" from Feb 22, 2019. It was allowed to scroll and zoom in that round so I correctly clicked on Tijuana back then.
@@FornusSomeFornit Over the course of two days I could recognise the letters reliably. From time to time I take a look at the alphabet again in order to not forget it. You can impress people with it and that's what I like the most about it haha
#1: I could just make out "...gatan" on the street sign on the left, which pointed me to Sweden, but then guessed Stockholm, which actually gave me fewer points than Odense did you -.- #2: I was a knobhead and chose some place in the middle of the country. Of course it was as far from there as possible :D #3: Did pretty much the same thing as you, only I approached Londonderry from the direction of Strabane via the A2, so I found Glendermott Road quite a bit faster. 5000 points, naturally. #4: I felt eastern US and got all of 4 points >.< #5: The place reminded me of earlier rounds in Tijuana, so I went there. It was closer to the center than I'd guessed, but still a very nice score. 17500 points total, quite alright considering round 4 was a complete dud :)
I guessed north eastern US as well for #4, I thought the cars looked American, Vegetation reasonably northern. buildings looked odd but maybe because it's a more obscure US state
Now that was a crazy guess from me! I thought the place in the first map was Gothenburg, since Pewdiepie once showed his hometown in one of his videos. And I immediately recognized these buildings. So I klicked somewhere near the center of Gothenburg and barely missed a perfect score by being 1.2 km away from the location
I recognized the first one. I've been there several times actually. I lived in Göteborg all my life until recently. Also I instantly recognized that it's Sweden.
1. I thought I noticed slightly less western influence - I went Warsaw - not terrible points-wise 2. Knew it was Korea due to the text, ruled out Seoul. Went Daejon, again, not awful. 3. Recognised Omagh from the roadsign, went on a 20 minute search in N.Ireland looking for a Lloyds pharmacy. Hedged my bets just north eventually. Great points tally, but an easy round really 4. Lost all sense of rational thought and went Bloemfontein, South Africa. Whoops. 5. Don't remember you having this round before, but it must have stuck in my head - 4999 points, two blocks away. Felt like Tijuana based on previous rounds I've had there, picked a north/south road in residential sector, great score.
Trafic sign colours representing the colours of a national flag would seem a bit farfetched to be honest. But hey, it ended up being true. So what do I know
Annoyed with my guess for Round 3. I'm Irish, so I immediately recognized Omagh and Strabane on the roadsign, but the compass and direction of the sign made it look like we had to head north-ish to get there, so I guessed Armagh
R1: For some reason I thought it was in Germany, near the Netherlands. Ended up guessing Frankfurt. 2693 R2. Obviously South Korea. Went south since there were more cities there. Settled on Daegu. 3979 R3. As explained above. A disappointing 4711 R4. Had a shocker here. Thought I was in the Carribbean and guessed Kingston, Jamaica. A paltry 20 R5. Actually guessed Mexico here, Guadalajara to be exact. Still quite a bit away, but I'll take it. 1305
1. Holy! Saw the little signs by the bikeway in swedish colors but I completely by chance guessed göteborg. 4997, I feel I already won this. 2. Went for the outskirts of Tokyo, I always mess up korean and japanese letters. I shouldve learned it by now. 2162 points. 3. Went for Dublin because of the store sign saying "O'Keefe" which I thought of an name straight of ireland. 4364 points. 4. Went for Japan. For me there nothing would fit actually, type of cars (asian), architecture (canada) but random houses still (south america), color of the signs (I only knew from europe) so a blind guess. 0 points. Thats just mean. 5. I remembered a round by the wizard where it exactly looked like this, could remember it was mexico on the american border but not which city it was. Went for el paso, 2453 points only, I feel betrayed. Almost 14k points, first round was insane. No whooping the wizard this time.

It's only been 6 days but the Round 2 picture has already changed on streetview, it threw me off when I swapped back to the video and saw that it was different
Round 1: Krakow, Poland a few weeks ago i had a diverse world round with krakow and it had brick buildings, so i picked poland. 2461 points Round 2: Dageu, South Korea what i learned about previous round s is that it is nearly impossible to get a city in South Korea, so i picked the middle. 3958 points Round 3: Leeds, Britain I had no clue, so Leeds was my first place i saw when i zoomed in UK. 3773 Points Round 4: Ibarra, Ecuador Place looks hispanic, but my first thoughts was Peru, but no mountains, so i went to Ecuador.80 points :( Round 5: Torreon, Mexico It looks a little bit hillish to me, but spain influence, so i picked Mexico. 1672 Points Summary:11945 P0ints. Decent score, the South American round has killed me. i played An urban World a lot, but without zooming, moving and scrolling it was hard.
How I fared: #1: Went for Münster, Germany. 3048 points. #2: Obviously Korea, not much chance of further clues so let's just plug it in. 3984 points. #3: Did guess Northern Ireland, but went for Belfast rather than Londonderry. 4660 points. #4: And then it went wrong. Went for the USA... 3 points #5: Wow, that looks familiar. Did we have this one before? It was Philippines... No, I guessed Philippines, but it was in the Americas. But where? Mexico? Colombia? Let's go Colombia. Shit, wrong again. 116 points Not a bad start, but those last 2 rounds... Only 11811, which is not good, not even for this format :(
Jeju is pronounced as you would in English. It's the biggest Island that is part of South Korea and at the same time the highest point of the country. It is indeed a volcano. :)
I think sometimes you forget that you're playing Urban World and make your guesses in clearly not big enough "cities" to be on this map (Korean and Argentinian guesses). You gotta aim to decent/big cities. Also, i may be mistaken but i think you got that Tijuana location on another video? Might just be similar tho.
Sportingfan18 if you read the description for an urban world on geoguessr it explicitly says biggest cities to smallest towns are included, so those guesses do make sense
@@jeffpape6519 I may be wrong as i'm fairly new to the scene, but from my personal experience, it's always cities that you can clearly see in the map that are decent cities inside their own countries. They may be smaller in developing countries but "big" in comparison to the country average? Idk, it's difficult to express in words. Like, the ones that appear at a zoom where a decent amount of cities appear within a country? You can clearly see just by intuition at what zoom there is too much and they are just way too small to be a possibility. No need to zoom more than that to look at the possibilities. The guesses at Korea and Argentina were so zoomed in, in places that you can't even tell if they are really "urban", could be villages in the middle of nowhere. If you can't clearly see that is a possibility, then it isn't.
@@jeffpape6519 Also, it says "from biggest towns to smaller towns in lesser developed countries". As i said, in developing countries, the "secondary" cities after the capital and what not are smaller than those in developed countries obviously, and i think it's those "smaller towns" referenced. But it never goes beyond those secondary (and maybe tercionary) cities within a country
14146, thought the korean one was by the sea because of the hazy clouds, so I got good points. Thought the TJ one looked like crap california so I guessed San Bernadeno.
Except for the points, Puerto Rico wasn't a terrible guess. The logic was sound. If its any comfort you wouldn't have been very much better off with Guatemala and Colombia would have been worse. And even though its part of the US, Puerto Rico has a lot more in common with Latin America. Except for a few tourist areas and resorts they speak Spanish exclusively and the architecture is very much Latin American.
btw, the highest point in Uruguay is 514m, so no mountains there
Uruguay is a flat country. I think the tallest “mountain” is just 500 m.
Also, that gap in the Chile-Argentina border is a national park, which is shared by both countries, and the reason there’s no border is just because of an agreement that says that tourists can explore the entire park without having to cross any border (as long as being inside the park, of course).
That's really nice

#4: I felt eastern US and got all of 4 points >.<
#5: The place reminded me of earlier rounds in Tijuana, so I went there.
1. I thought I noticed slightly less western influence - I went Warsaw - not terrible points-wise
2. Knew it was Korea due to the text, ruled out Seoul. Went Daejon, again, not awful.
3. Recognised Omagh from the roadsign, went on a 20 minute search in N.Ireland looking for a Lloyds pharmacy. Hedged my bets just north eventually. Great points tally, but an easy round really
He had this round before!
Love ur vids man
"At least you know I've got a left hand"
Big deal - I've got a left AND a right hand ;)
You killed me but I at least knew the Swedish colors in round 1. Besides that you win
Round 1. My most insane guess ever. 383.9m. Saw blue and yellow on the sign post, put the cursor on Gothenburg and submitted. 4999 points.
"Do they look that Dutch?" - Yes, those are what's called 'dutch gables' on the roof..
Jesus Christ Tom, the first round had two little signs that had Swedish colors on them!! That seemed like the kind of thing you would notice.
He said it wasn't exclusive to sweden
@@declanfinnin5792
I dunno, I've never seen those outside Sweden. Would be a little weird for Denmark or Norway to have Swedish-colored signs.
Could be Ukrainian as well
@@Dr.Kornelius
If only that city looked even remotely like Ukraine.
R2. Obviously South Korea. Went south since there were more cities there. Settled on Daegu. 3979
R3. As explained above. A disappointing 4711
R4. Had a shocker here. Thought I was in the Carribbean and guessed Kingston, Jamaica. A paltry 20
R5. Actually guessed Mexico here, Guadalajara to be exact. Still quite a bit away, but I'll take it. 1305
I seem to recall Tom had that exact same TJ point before. It looked SUPER familiar!
wow I actually guessed in my mind Tijuana in my head on that last round there
11:59 "Lloyd's fermassi" - Limmy
I guessed Baja Cali on that last one. I would have freaked if I were actually playing. Haha
Saw what I think to be an old, early 90s Ford Taurus and knew that paired with that scene it had to be Mexico.
I swear you had the exact same place at 18:08 before. I instantly thought Tijuana because it looked so familiar.
EDIT: Yeah you did. th-cam.com/video/xApbqwtnSzs/w-d-xo.html Geoguessr - An Urban World - No moving around #4 [PLAY ALONG] 12:55
We could go with 10 country challenge for a couple more years, mate. Go on I'll enjoy em all
It's only been 6 days but the Round 2 picture has already changed on streetview, it threw me off when I swapped back to the video and saw that it was different
10 country challenge is fantastic
Yeah you had that ladt round before, remembered the right city and got 4989 points
”I svear I nerver had this round before” He actually did in an ord video lol
Round 1: Krakow, Poland
a few weeks ago i had a diverse world round with krakow and it had brick buildings, so i picked poland. 2461 points
Round 2: Dageu, South Korea
what i learned about previous round s is that it is nearly impossible to get a city in South Korea, so i picked the middle. 3958 points
Round 3: Leeds, Britain
I had no clue, so Leeds was my first place i saw when i zoomed in UK. 3773 Points
Round 4: Ibarra, Ecuador
Place looks hispanic, but my first thoughts was Peru, but no mountains, so i went to Ecuador.80 points :(
Round 5: Torreon, Mexico
It looks a little bit hillish to me, but spain influence, so i picked Mexico. 1672 Points
Summary:11945 P0ints.
Decent score, the South American round has killed me.
i played An urban World a lot, but without zooming, moving and scrolling it was hard.
on my first round i saw blue and yellow sign things and thought it looked coastal and fairly south so i guessed gothenburg and was 700m away wow
Last round the exact same place as once before, the guy in blue gave me dejavu
The last one was the easiest for any SoCal Americans, all of LA and San Diego looks like that aswell
I still love 10 Country Challenge!
How I fared:
#1: Went for Münster, Germany. 3048 points.
#2: Obviously Korea, not much chance of further clues so let's just plug it in. 3984 points.
#3: Did guess Northern Ireland, but went for Belfast rather than Londonderry. 4660 points.
#4: And then it went wrong. Went for the USA... 3 points
#5: Wow, that looks familiar. Did we have this one before? It was Philippines... No, I guessed Philippines, but it was in the Americas. But where? Mexico? Colombia? Let's go Colombia. Shit, wrong again. 116 points
Not a bad start, but those last 2 rounds... Only 11811, which is not good, not even for this format :(
Strabane is pronounced Stra-ban by the way!
Now we will never know what ice lolly that kid had. 😔
You did better than me in the last round I got a whopping 0 points.
In sweden, brick is also very traditional
I was screaming Mexico on that last round. I had so many similar rounds in Mexico.
Would like to play along with an urban world - no moving again :)
in denmark we would have a normal walking guy logo instead of a mom and child
Jeju is pronounced as you would in English. It's the biggest Island that is part of South Korea and at the same time the highest point of the country. It is indeed a volcano. :)
17583, that last round saved me. I was just few kilometers away!
Sportingfan18 no I get what you mean, and I guess you’re right. Interesting dynamic for sure and something he should pay attention to
14146, thought the korean one was by the sea because of the hazy clouds, so I got good points.
As a Uruguayan I can say that Uruguay is very flat and that also did not look like Uruguay
O'Higgins is always Chile if it's in the southern hemisphere.
You've already had the last spot!!!!
