LOL It's fun seeing you getting Taiwan and Hong Kong mixed up. So I'm just gonna repost my comment from last video.
here's some pointers for next time:
Taiwan has more motorcycles. and when i say more, i mean MORE.
Hong Kong has british like license plates. White in front, Yellow at the back.
And yea, all three use traditional chinese writing, so the writing WILL look the same. You've got to look at the street signs. if it's black and white like in britain, and has English names, it's Hong Kong. If it's green it's usually Taiwan.
Hong Kong's more urban, so if its sort of rural/less big roads its usually New Territories, but those part are not as dense like in Taiwan. Taiwan's houses/residential area looks more JAPANESE because it was occupied in WW2 for quite some time.
if you see motorcycles in Hong Kong, its usually expensive and very rare to see them.
If its the urban part of Macau, it's VERY Portuguese. I mean you'll see the paved roads and think am i in portugal?
The smaller island of macau is filled with new casinos (north) and VERY rural houses (south)
:) and yeah i know this cuz i live in hk

#1: It looks like traditional rather than simplified Chinese, so let's go Taiwan rather than Hongkong or Singapore or something like that. Saw no further hint, went for the western part, 4586 points.
#2: Also saw Trabzon, though in another place than you did. Went somewhere in the city center. 4998 points.
#3: Saw Nova Scotia, but couldn't find the right city, finally went for a city I should have known was wrong (Yarmouth - even the sea is on the wrong side). Only 4271 points.
#4: Saw .ch on the tram, then Basel in a shopping window. Got close: 4999 points.
#5: 'Access Alaska' made me first think of Anchorage, but 'True North' made me go Fairbanks, where I saw the streetnames. 5000 points.
23854 points - I didn't beat you (I missed the Halifax one), but it's definitely a personal best that I can be proud of.

22,915 - very happy with this score... felt like I was in the zone... played a round and then watched you play it each time (my preferred play method)...
4633 Taiwan - picked Taichung City in the middle (previous hint about mopeds and Taiwan helped)
4999 Turkey - saw Trabzon on building and was 336m from actual location!
5000 Nova Scotia - easy once you found the Scotiabank Centre
3283 Basel - picked Dresden in Germany (saw the URL on the tram but guessed it was cut off by sign)... amazed/infuriated that you got that exactly... was beating you up until this point...
5000 Alaska - thought Anchorage, but then saw the Access Alaska sign and went Fairbanks - found exact location
Good game as always - wp

The “Mingyi” street is actually better written as “Ming-Yi” (they are two words). And the door sign did say “花蓮市” (Hualien City) on the top of the circle, with the neighbourhood name at the bottom: “主義里” .
But I guess it’s quite useless to know which neighbourhood you’re at because they don’t usually appear on google maps. So if you’re trying to aim for the exact spot, you gotta go into Hualien city and find it solely by the street name.

1 - recognised it as Taiwan, thought the street signs looked like Tainan from #6 so went there. 4,432
2 - saw a sign saying Adana, guessed there. absolutely didn't spot Trabzon nor even know that was the name of a city. 3,296
3 - all the Nova Scotia stuff made it pretty easy. 5,000
4 - got Switzerland from the .ch, guessed Zurich after some hunting around in there and Bern. never thought about Basel. (and wouldn't have found the spot anyway, since I was focusing on the closed cinema...) 4747
5 - this one had updated, some of the businesses had closed but Access Alaska was still there and there was another sign saying Fairbanks which made it piss easy. 5,000

Round 1- I speak and read Chinese so it's a bit of an advantage, I could see from the house number sign that it said "Hualien City" so I immediately knew where to look. Unfortunately there were about 5 streets called Mingyi Street and I guessed the wrong one lol, but still 4984 points.
Round 2- my big miss, the part that gave you "Trabzon" I couldn't read well, but I saw it ended with "ediyesi" and I randomly found a city on the south coast called "Side Belediyesi" so I thought it must've been there. Only got around 2700 pts because of that.
Round 3- pretty easy, lots of stuff that gave away the exact location. Basically same logic as you.
Round 4- I knew it was Switzerland based on the .ch as well, but spent about 10 full minutes looking around various cities and gave up and guessed Zurich.
Round 5- Alaska was obvious, and luckily most of the cities in Alaska are quite small so it was easy to scan around the bigger cities and find the exact location

Bit late this time, hope you still read my game, it was an interesting one.
    1. With the wires my immediate reaction was southeast Asia, and seeing the English writing on the sign with 12, the last time something like that was Taiwan, the letters seem to match, so I went for Taipei. The Lane numbering did not really make sense to me and could not find 53, so I went central. 4598 points
    2. It is clearly Turkey, and I see Trabzon, which I know from Trabzonspor so it probably is a city, found it quickly on the map :). now searching the exact locatation... Which did not go quickly, so I went for the centre again. 4997 points (866 meters)
    3. Okay, the NOva Scotia was quite in your face. And the west is uphill and the east is water and then land again, which helps in searching the correct location. Looked in Halifax, searched for the right direction of the roads and found the hall of fame. 5000 points
    4. .ch on the tram, so it is Czech Republic, but the willkommen en the buildings give such a german vibe. I really can't find anymore clues other then the city has a tram and probably is close to germany, because of some writing. So I went in Liberec by a Cinema City instead of a Pathé. You mention Switzerland, that moment I facepalmed very very very hard -_-, Czech Republic is of course cz, everythink makes so much more sense now. Still 3150 points.
    5. The signs feel like they are American, but I don't think I can trust myself anymore haha. But it has to be. Was just about to complain that almost every big sign was not readable when I saw the Access Alaska. First I scanned the border, but there litterally is nothing. Zoomed in at Fairbanks and immediatly spotted a Cushmann street, if it is the right Cushmann street it is a bit scary. And there is Gaffney road. Found it within a minute after going along the whole border. 5000 points
Total of 22 745 points, not bad, but looking back at the 4th I really want to cry, could have beat you if I was not keeping so stupidly to my idea of ch is Czech Republic, even with all the german writing i saw, bit disgusted about myself with that one, but in the end it was a good score to end with.

#1: Remembered the similar looking Taiwan location from last week, went for Tainan though. 4405 points.
#2: Searched the downtown areas of Trabzon for an inordinate amount of time before giving up and guessing. It was a pretty good guess, 4998 points.
#3: Went at it the same as you, 5000 points.
#4: Totally ignored Basel and focused on Zürich, guessed there eventually. 4743 points.
#5: Again, focused hard on Anchorage as Fairbanks wasn't even on my radar. This one cost me as I got only 3691 points for a total of 22837.

    LOOOOVE these. 21971 final score.
    1. Really tough one. I forget how to differentiate between Hong Kong and Taiwan but I feel like that's what I'm going between. I decided on Taiwan, and I decided against Taipei and went with a city just southwest of it. 4600. Beat 'em, good start.
    2. Tough one, for me. I can't identify the language, and I decided on Turkey, and went near Istanbul. I don't have great reasons for doing it. OMG. I hate him for seeing that Trabzon. God DAMN. Fuck turkey for being huge, I get 2641. Turkey is forever a challenge for me.
    3. Fairly easy to find, noticed the water to the east-ish, obviously Nova Scotia, so we find the Scotiabank centre. Done. He'll 5k it. 5000 for me.
    4. Germany? No. there's a .ch domain. For a second, I thought there was more to this domain - but if you peek in the glass of the sushi place, you can see it is just .ch. Now, Germany would have .de, right, so me, the American, thinking, what in blazes is .ch with all this german-sounding stuff around, and a little bit of english? Switzerland? Well what's their domain... I didn't know. I left it. I thought it was some non-traditional domain. Then, I zoom in to Liechtenstein. Obviously, it's not Liechtenstein, but I see the border of Liechtenstein and Switzerland - Schweiz. OF COURSE. There's the ch. Thus we are in Switzerland. I'm so dumb, sorry. I went Lucerne out of geographical centrality I couldn't find the exact locale. I hate him for finding the exact again, that's unfair. I should have looked harder. 4730 for me.
    5. Alaska. Initially thought anchorage, looked around briefly and didn't find cushman/gaffney, so then i tried Juneau, then Wasilla (cuz palin), then I went to Fairbanks. Saw it immediately. Easy 5000.

Round after round i thought i was a super detective only to see you finding it as well in half the time xD
But i was a slightly better in the taiwan round, those were the deciding points, hehe

    This one was pretty great!
    1. Kinda bullshit to start off with. Taiwan was pretty obvious, especially after last time. I got it slightly closer - 98 km.
    2. This one was a fun one! Trebzon immediatly reminded me of Trebizond, so I found the city very quickly. Then it was just a painful scrolling to find the weird shaped building, but I did find it so a perfect score.
    3. This one was interesting. Took a bit of looking around, not gonna lie but I did find it so another perfect one.
    4. UGH. I can't fucking believe you. I looked around nearly every large city in Switzerland for like 15 minutes trying to find it and eventually gave up and put it in Zurych. And the worst thing is that I distinctly remember seeing the Irish Pub place when scrolling around in Basel. FUCK.
    5. Thank god Alaska has only two cities. Anchorage yielded no results so Fairbanks it was. A third perfect score!
Despite this being a mindblowingly great game I am still kinda mad about the Switzerland. If I had gotten it I think I would have had a better score than you. This was I was 100 points behind. Great, great game and video.

Playing this 2 years later and a couple of cities are barely recognizable - all empty storefronts with the new google views. Makes it a lot harder to play with literally empty buildings and barren parking lots. The last one especially!

It bugged me that i couldn't see the end of the link in the 4th one as well, but if you look closely in one of the windows you can see the reflection of the tram and the link so you can see that it is the end of the link.

It was saying Kultur Merkezi on the front part of the building. I actually got 5000 on that one rather quickly.
In the Switzerland one, there was a thingy in the window, at the front of the "train", that said Basel. It was a tricky one tho, didn't see it at first. Also got full points on that one.
Flopped on all the other ones xD

    This was my attempt:
1: Writing looks Chinese and the climate looks quite warm, so probably the southern part of China. Guessed Ghuanzou. 2723 points.
2: Writing is Turkish. Spotted the sign with Trabzon on it, which gave away the city. 4996 points.
3: The Nova Scotia signs kinda gave it away. Decided to look in Halifax first, and found the Scotiabank Centre. 5000 points!
4: Writing is German, but the website on the tram end in .ch, so must be Switzerland. Didn't find any other clues, so I guessed Bern. 4764 points.
5: Spotted the Alaska sign. Decided to look around in Anchorage, but couldn't find anymore clues. Guessed somewhere in Anchorage. 3715 points.
21198 points total. Not too bad.

Round 1: last time you went hong kong and i went shanghai. this time i got closer in going hong kong and you got the country: annoying 😂 next time well both get the 5k i reckon 😂 - 2873
Round 2: found trabzon. could read on the right side of the building that its some culture centre. couldnt find it tho. also saw a sign for some shopping centre. forum or something. did find that a went too close to it - 4990
Round 3: Found nova scotia. with halifax being the first place to look it and plenty street names and such that was an easy one... 5000
Round 4: url on the tram for switzerland. basel in the tram stop. "schauspielhaus abendkasse" (meaning theatre box office) on the wall. went to look for the theatre. easy again. also annoying again, because you didnt see the 2(!) signs that said basel and basically "just" bruteforced it 😂 5000
Round 5: That took a while. alaska was simple. Didnt think further than anchorage for far too long tho. after almost locking anchorage out of desparation i went into fairbanks for "one last quick look" and found it pretty much instantly - 5000
22863 - The taiwan one now really annoys me and the turkey one are 10 unnecessarily wasted points too but apart from that im really fuckin proud of this score.

    22847.
1 - Also figured out that it was Taiwan, guessed in Tainan because one of your previous challenges ended up in there. 4402.
2 - Saw the sign that said Trabzon on it, so I went for it because I know where Trabzon is (thanks EU4!). 4996.
3 - Went for Halifax because it's the capital of Nova Scotia and this is an urban world, got lucky and got 4990.
4 - I'll admit I had to look up what .ch was, I knew it was a German speaking country but didn't see anything that fit ch. Apparently it comes from the Latin name for Switzerland, Confoederatio Helvetica. It was chosen to avoid picking any favorites among the four official languages of Switzerland. Anyway, I went for Zurich and didn't even see Basel. 4747.
5 - Saw the Access Alaska, went for Anchorage because I assumed an urban world would put us in the biggest city. Way off, 3712.
Could've squeezed out a few more points if I was as dedicated to scanning through every inch of the cities like you, but I'm happy with how I did.

    21065 points :) :/ so-so
    1. I saw the Chinese religious art and thought from the slightly poor infrastructure that it would be Taiwan. I didn't think
to look at the symbols against the city names and guessed Taichung city near the center of the island.
    2. I recognized the Turkish language and tried to find a city name but didn't find Trabzon and guessed Ankara, again
    because of centrality.
    3. I have been to Halifax, so once I found the WW1 memorial on the hill I got the 5000 points in seconds.
    4. I saw German writing and thought of Germany and Austria. I have been to Vienna and thought from the spruced up
city that I should guess there. I completely forgot to consider Switzerland!
    5. I saw the US flag, then an Alaska sign. After that it took only about 5 minutes of prodding around Anchorage and Fairbanks
    to get the 5000.

1st: Northern Germany (4506 points). I saw, what I thought was the Swedish language on top of the Vattenfall, but I also saw the German language pasted on the wall of the apartment. So I thought there was Swedish influence, but in a German country, so I went north.
2nd: Stockholm (2157 points). Thought the language was Swedish, but Nah.
3rd: Colombo (4993 points). I thought it was somewhere random in India until I Saw the Sri Lanka sign. Guessed Colombo, because this city seemed massive.
4th: Tijuana (4976 points). I had the landscape of a suburb in LA, except it screamed the third world, so I went to Mexico and clicked the western side of TJ.
5th: (4998 points). Saw the SacPark parking signs and immediately connected that to Sacramento.
    Total: 21630

21572, my best one yet without moving
    1. Went for Taiwan because of the english writing, just clicked in the middle. 4545
    2. Saw Trebzon written on many different places so that must be the city, found it by complete coincidence and clicked very near the spot. Lucky guess. 4997
    3. It was practically a gift, went straight to the capital city and found the location. 5000
    4. Like an absolute idiot, I went for Czech Republic instead of Switzerland. In my defense (if there is any) I didn't know the .ch and I didn't even remember the .cz. 3323
    5. Saw the Alaska sign, looked for the streets in Anchorage, gave up and just clicked a random spot in there. 3707
Still kicking myself for that idiotic fourth round. Oh well, it's experience for next time!

1- Remembered the last video and went Taiwan, went same city as last time too but got wrong side-- 4.4k points
2- Saw Trabzon and recognised the football team, looked for AGES for the city and found it, but couldn't for the life of me find my way through all the mosques and supermarkets so went in the centre, and got -- 4997 points
3-Knew it was Canada bc of ScotiaBank, but was thinking football stadiums and then ended up clicking near toronto to be 'safe', didn't even know about Nova Scotia.-- 2.8k
    4. Was s confused and then found the german looking sign way too late lol, zoomed into Munich and saw 'cultural centre' and thought that looks perfect, couldn't find the street name so guessed near it ,, got -- 4000 points , lol
    5-

24998 - but WITH moving. Still happy with it, lost the 2 points in turkey because I was inpatient ... ".CH" stands for "Confoederatio Helveticorum", Swiss Confederation. If we don't want to offend anyone within our small four-languaged-country we choose a latin term 😉

Ok I played along well over 1 year after this video was published, and the map was actually updated in the Alaska round. Right now, it is so freaking bright that I couldnt read a single sign on anything. I couldn't read Alaska on the sign or True North so I was clueless as to where in the US i was. I assumed it was very north because of just how south the sun was, but I still guessed Minnesota and lost tons of points. Overall my best Geoguessr round anyway. But that was kinda bull crap
