Seeing no choice, Ink was ready to detonate a water grenade to end the fight, when she penetrated his heart with her sword. The grenade fell off his hand, unarmed. As she turned to retreat, Ink picked up his C96 pistol and fired a single shot before collapsing due to blood loss. The bullet hit 8's leg, hitting her bone and rendering her harmless. After the battle, the ground was with spilled blood and ink. Ink was rushed to a hospital along with Agent 8. He suffered heavy brain damage, losing his left eye, his right arm and his left hand. His skull was crushed and several pieces of bone penetrated his brain. Her leg suffered a massive open fracture and her hand was cut off. The ground was painted red and purple, with an eye, a hand, an arm and a empty bullet casing.
