Grand Fest just feels like a massive love letter to the entire Splatoon series, and I could not love it more

Deep Cut's shout (and Rainbow Incantation in general) is PEAK hype, and Into the Light and Daybreaker Anthem are my top tearjerkers. A grand finale indeed

I swear Grandfest was the closest I ever got to genuine time travel. I was playing on Flounder Heights and low and behold Ink Me Up starts playing. I logically know this map is not the same as it used to be. Hell, I'm playing with a Dread Wringer as an Octoling in the year of our lord 2024!
But man, my WiiU broke years ago in like 2016?? So ever sense then I only have my memories of Splat 1 to go by. Now I can't even go back without hacking...
Needless to say, I had to pause for a long time after that game to emotionally process something way more poniente then just nostalgia. Goddamn Grandfest was something else.
