- originally from the Splatune album. nobody seems to have made an extension of this so i did. the song has various other names like "Squid Sisters Song" and "Shiokara-Bushi" and for this specific version, "Chorus of Calamari County" and "Calamari Shanty".

Ah yes, the song that used to be a song for one part of the Splatoon world (Calamari County), but is now an over-popular song sung all across the world by all inklings and most Octolings!
According to lore, the melody itself is even older and its said to be ingrained into the cephalopods dna. Calamari inkantation is the modern reinterpretation of the heavenly melody

Fireworks are similar to the burst bombs, so they could represent Callie and the waves could represent Marie. It’s as if someone was paying tribute to the Squid Sisters after what happened to them and then their reunion
Yeah, now I'm sure this song was originally a Japanese ritual song that worshiped an ocean god and it survived to the Inkling age due to magic (and spoilers). I don't know what else could be with this one song.
I agree with your theorie even tough mine is a little different. In splatoon 3 story mode we learn why inklings and any other splatoon species are so human like. the reason are the weird psychic alterna crystals that are literaly powerd by humanities hopes and dreams which fused with the seacreatures dna and are what made them want to go to the surface to beginnt with. Also calamari inkantation is stated multiple times to resonate with every sea creatures dna. So my theorie is every version of it contain parts of the last song ever created by humanity

splatoon 3 takes place in splatsville, which is very far away from inkopolis plaza and square. so it’s possible we won’t see any of the idols we know of, the single player campaign could be (and should be,) COMPLETELY different from the last games. so dw! the chances of “oh no zapfish :( find them :(( and i can’t do it myself some reason :(((“ is low :)

This sorta reminds me of when i used to be a youth traditional dancer (which is basically some student to chooses to learn traditional dances and dance in a competition) and would usually travel to a lot of competitions to dance…. To me this version of the inkantation gives me two kinds of vibes: a late night summer festival, maybe one in one of the smaller towns of the splatoon world, OR...and hear me out cause you've probably heard this from another comment....Inkling soldiers marching off to fight the Octolings during the great turf war. Seriously, take away the taiko drums, flutes, and the Shamisen and this has tve beat of a marching song/military cadence.
Personally I like the latter. It give some weight on the song. Reminds me of marching songs of the First World War on both sides.
In fact Great turf war is basically splatoon ver. Of Ww1

but it was used in splatoon 2, as part of the ambience in skipper pavilion, but only during splatfests (which obviously aren't happening in splatoon 2 anymore)
