Students who are new to the Tarot, please take note:: After 22 years of working with the Tarot there is still stuff to learn! I never noticed the black staff on the 10 of Pentacles....never saw it. I'd sure say it represents "the completion of the task at hand" and a place/time where now the staff can rest...for the time being. Life force will always be renewed, regenerated, recycled, so it won't rest for long. Thanks for putting new info into the pot, Ms..Mori.

@@relax.everythingisgoingtob6392 Please remember that all cards are interpreted based on the context within which they were drawn, i.e. what was the question as the cards were pulled? But given that, off the top of my head, since pentacles are the suit of security and stability, you're getting a clear message that some careful reorganization of what you have to work with ( money, property, work skills, talents and initiative) could pay big dividends. Think about how to use what you have to better serve you. Good luck!

I really enjoyed how you split each minor arcana into three rows with a quality to each row. That is a new concept for me.

I tend to think of pentacles as responsibility to a large degree. Especially when it comes to the court cards.

Ultraviolet Morgan Yes, I like that perspective on the Pentacles. Too often they are seen as simply relating to money issues and that is such a limiting concept. Thanks for your input!

    Division into 3 sections
    1. First phase (1-3)
    2. Resolution of first phase (4-6)
    3. Resolution of second phase (7-10)

brilliant thank you Jeanne you took the words right out of my mouth ! the king sometimes can represent a child but as you say if you were talking about a topic that's in the grown up world ie house etc or work to a child this can happen

...the only thing that's kinda bugging me right now is that the celtic cross ...cards 6 is generally the future 7-9 the staff are allways the same ie self, external influences, hopes n fears, outcome.BUT card 3 -5 can be very different with each different reader ....I tend to read 4 as foundation and place bellow and three as crown and place above then five as recent past ect

Thing Those differences of the interpretation of the placements w/I the layout aren't a problem as long as a reader is very clear about what THEY intend those positions represent. I don't think there's a RIGHT way to interpret the placements in any layout/spread, but a reader had better be very conscious and clear about their own intentions and expectations from whatever card lands in any one place "on the board."

When I do a reading involving my husband I nearly always draw the King of Pentacles! My husband is a practical, hard working Capricorn, hands on, self employed person who does enjoy having material things around him, but he’s not always so good with the more emotional aspects of life!

That CAN be a down side of Capricorn ..."Be realistic", "show me" ... doesn't always leave room for the non-rational aspect of emotional truths.

    Court cards are personality cards...
    Providing security and stability
Page - apprentice, earnest grounded child of earth
Knight - reliable earnest not fastest moving like other knights, steady
Queen - constancy comfort receptive (not gender specific) self employed calm complacent hard working makes own reality
King - business person, rigid, knows how to provide security.

Have you ever heard the suits each having a major arcana card they correspond to. The deck im working had cups relating to the lovers card, staves with the emperor, swords with the magician and coins with the wheel of fortune. Mind you these cards are renamed after goddess instead if traditional names.

    • @TarotQueen100
      @TarotQueen100  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

+Amrit Baba No I haven't run across those kinds of correspondences. Each Major Card can be associated with an element, either directly or through its astrological/planetary correlation, and so that can be a source for connections. For instance The Emperor is ruled by Aries and so could be construed as a fire card.... the Moon ruled by Pisces as a water card, Justice as Libran connected to air, etc..... Magician ruled by Mercury which is connected to Air.... There are no right/wrongs here, that's how so many folks can use the Tarot to express their particular cosmology and world view. A blessing and a curse for those trying to learn the system...nothing's simple in the Tarot!

Jeanne, How would you differentiate the queen of pentacles from the empress? Other than the literal fertility aspect which seems more belonging to the empress. Thank you.

Hi Nancy-- Thanks for your recent visits to and comments on these videos! I've put your query about the QP and the Empress in the queue for an upcoming video, I think it's a good compare/contrast opportunity. I appreciate your participation.
