    I've just noticed, seeing all of the Wands cards laid out amongst each other, that the Two, Three, and Six of Wands' figures are all wearing a long, red poncho-like cloak, all open at the sides too. AND what's even more interesting about those 3 cards is that if you multiply 2 by 3, you get 6, and if you divide 6 by 3 or 2, you get the opposite of the divisor (i.e., if dividing by 3, you get 2; if dividing by 2, you get 3). A very interesting-and perhaps more numerologically meaningful than understood at first glance-connection between those cards!

      Isn't it interesting, all the connections we can see between the individual cards! It's part of what makes the study of Tarot a never-ending process; part of the challenge and part of the satisfaction of it. Thanks for your insightful comment, Chris.

    I love your teaching but question: I saw 5 of wands also can be playing fun there was a game in Italy that they play like that your thoughts? and I'm very new to learning :)

    • @TarotQueen100
      @TarotQueen100  8 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Hi Gina-- thanks for your post! I could see the 5 of wands as play, or
      "casual competition," so to speak. It's distinguished from the 7 of Wands in that the latter is more competitive, more aggressive, etc.... The point, usually, with the 5 of wands is that while there may be activity, there isn't a lot of forward progress. Not a "bad" thing, just a depiction of a situation.
      Thanks for being part of the Tarotworks' circle of learners; Happy Tarot-ing~~

    Do you see the suits as having a start and end, or highest to lowest. The deck im working with says it goes cups, staves, swords, pentacles. Im working with the goddess tarot by kris waldherr

    • @TarotQueen100
      @TarotQueen100  8 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      +Amrit Baba Oooh, that's a good question! I do see them in some kind of progression, not a hierarchy but a "one thing leads to another" type of thing.
      I use the Kabalistic view of how the elements are placed on the Tree of Life, which coincidentally (?) corresponds with the progression of the cardinal signs of the zodiac (Aries-Cancer-Libra-Capricorn) .. in so much as in that system it goes Fire-Water-Air-Earth; Fire (wands) being the spark of life and Earth (pentacles) being the physical manifestation of that spark.
      Of course all this is up for discussion among Tarotists, metaphysicians, philosophers, Kabalists, etc......
      Thanks for your thought-filled inquiry!

    • @amritbaba4904
      @amritbaba4904 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +Jeanne Fiorini Thank you for your ample reply! I have been trying to figure out which order works for me. I never studied the Kabbalah but the way you explain it does make sense. At first i was trying to place it in wiccan thought, everything starts in the east which is place of air, then comes fire, water, earth. But that order didnt resonate with me at all. Your explanation may lead me to studying it more and maybe using it. I just wish i could find more reference as to why the creator of my deck starts with water/cups.

    • @TarotQueen100
      @TarotQueen100  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Amrit Baba That would be a good start, to check in w/ the guide book that goes w/ that deck to see the reasoning behind the setup.Good luck ... it IS so important to resonate w/ the images you're using with the Tarot, there are so many decks w/ different world views.

      I do!! For me its the pure energy which thickens to air which thickens to water which thickens to earth. Its also spirit above, then mind, heart, and root.
      I also think, something starts as an idea or inspiration, becomes a plan, then you out your heart into it and then action leads to ultimate manifestation.
      So its wands, swords, cups, pentacles.
      The "higher" levels are more abstract or spiritual, the "lower" ones are more "real" or solid, material. The solid is more stable, which means shower/harder to change while the less solid something is, the easier it is to change. (Its easier to change something in the planning stage than after the building starts).. Its easier to change pure energy than air, easier to change air than water easier to change water than earth. Changeability has plus and minus obviously.
      Fire obviously moves faster than anything. I think of fire as ether. (The three elements we learn in science class are gas (air), liquid(water), solid(ice), but fire isn't really gas, its more volatile than air. So I go from most to least volitile, least to most solid, most abstract/spiritual/ethereal to most specific/physical/material.

    • @ultravioletpisces3666
      @ultravioletpisces3666 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      High and low is more of a direction than a hierarchy. Its like head to feet. And you can work energy from top to bottom (invocation)/or bottom to top (evocation)

      Hi Michele-- Great question, and a useful one. While there are a few "new" books out with great overviews of the Tarot system, my old faves are Mary Greer's "Tarot For Your Self" and Rachel Pollock's "Seventy- Eight Degrees of Wisdom." You can't go wrong with using either of these as basic building blocks for Tarot knowledge.

    • @TarotQueen100
      @TarotQueen100  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Lia~~ I don't know if you asked a question or just pulled cards, so first off let me say that your use of the Tarot as you go along will be much benefited by asking a question before drawing cards, or at least have a general idea of the context in which to interpret the cards you draw. Each card has so many different aspects that it's very important to know which way the card is trying to speak.
      Without knowing the context, if there was one, in general... these cards are very willful, dynamic, and forceful. That energy seems to be around you, whether it's yours or that of people around you. Take care in responding and/or using such energy ... fire burns things.

    • @TarotQueen100
      @TarotQueen100  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not quite sure what you mean here, but the Tarot doesn't replicate itself; it might repeat the same message in a reading, but no two cards say the same thing. 78 different facets of life, all interconnected.

      @@grndragon7777777 Wands in the Tarot relate to the element of fire; (fire-breathing) dragons can be thought of as channels for the primal life force, as fierce protectors (especially if there is something mystical to protect), as images of power and, akin to crocodiles and alligators, to the cycles of transformation/death/rebirth. A dynamic force of nature, both fire and dragons.
