- The Ford Sierra XR4i die-cast model was created in 1983. For the first two years, it was produced in England in white and silver. It was the largest scale of cast models produced by "Matchbox" 1:36. In the video, you can turn on and off the subtitles in your language describing individual activities. My model did not have rear wheels and backrests. I made the wheels in the form I made for the restoration of the Volvo 345 Estate. They were the same. I made seats according to my own idea. I changed the color of the body from white to silver, because silver - in my opinion - fits better with the gray plastic edges of the car. I also made a copy of the box that the Ford Sierra was packed in. It was one of the last dedicated packaging for a given model, and not universal, as it was done by companies in later times. Coincidence: yesterday I saw an old man at the side of the road. He had crashed into a truck in his PERFECT Sierra XR4i. Same colour. Such a shame. Maybe he should give Paul a call 😁👍🏽

The 1:64 casting of that car is so light
I have the real thing, if you fancy restoring that! Mine is a 1984 model in Cardinal Red, all original with all its genuine factory fitted equipment. I even have the original Ford stereo radio cassette player for it, and it's still on its original pepper pots!
That's a nice restoration, but I wonder why the manufacturer cheaped out on the wheels. The original (correct) "pepper pot" wheels are shown on the box, but not fitted to the model.
That's a great idea to approximate the front seats! And on the face of it, they look pretty good!

I remember when the Sierra first came out, my Dad got an Aquamarine blue 2.0i Ghia (with extras optioned in) company car... WHAT A CAR! Absolutely loved it! He took me out a coupla times giving me lessons on how to drive, again loved it! plus interior, all the gadgets, felt lovely to drive. Years later my then fiance and I bought the 'face lifted' Sierra 2.0i Ghia (again in an Aquamarine blue variant paint) with 'Pepper pot' alloys, absolute gem of a car (I didn't know then, but since found out, the Ghia models were built in Germany and thus had way better anticorrosion during manufacture), it certainly showed up the Vauxhall Cavalier! 😏 Wonderful Ford rear wheel drive cars them! The XR4i & XR4x4 just made the magic even better... 🤔😏👍 😎🇬🇧

I think I have this casting as a Matchbox, 1/64 scale. Never seen it at this scale though. I have to ask... Why did You make new front wheels? What was wrong with the originals? The car came out great 👍

Akurat pudełka drukuję w drukarni cyfrowej na maszynie Minolta. Technologia jest podobna do druku laserowego, wychodzą naprawdę świetnie. Dlatego uważam że dla samego efektu końcowego warto to zlecić. Film o robieniu pudełek jest na moim kanale . Pozdrawiam serdecznie
