Thank you for the video. I have a 13' 2023 Sport Compact. Instead of drilling the hole in lower pontoon horizontal, I drilled straight up and through Styrofoam. Because of the length of my Switch, I was able to follow the pontoon flush hose all the way around to the front of the unit and back under the console, with several inches to spare. I was also able to remove the one larger torque screw on the Garmin mount, and loosen the other 3 on the grab bar around the console, which allowed me to fish the cable up through the existing holes by hand without additional drilling or completely disassembling the Garmin mount. Once again, I appreciate the time you took to create the video. It helped me alot!
I have a 13 sport as well. Was looking at a lot of videos about mounting the gt56. They talk a lot about how to avoid excess cavitation. With the switch being in segments that seems unavoidable? Are you losing depth finding at higher speed?
I don’t know about your installs, but I could not get the transducer to run parallel with the bottom. The adjustments are about 11degrees per click. I’m in the middle. So either way I’m 5 degrees too high or low. Still working that out.
I may have seen the other video you’re referring to. If it’s the same you both installed it on the left pontoon. Was there a reason for that? Wouldn’t the other side give you a straight shot to the console? I’m looking to install a gt56 as well. Thanks.
Where did you purchase the Mount Kit for the Garmin and Which Model Garmin does it accept? I am having a problem finding the Mount Kit for a 2024 Switch Compact... Thanks in advance.

Glad I could give some info that helped you. Thanks for the feedback. There is always another way and probably an easier way!

Wanted it away from the ladder. Kids would be kicking it and playing with it all the time.
Excellent point. Forgot that ladder was there. I’ve only fished with it so far.

Hello- I purchased this and it came with the mount. I’m not sure if you can purchase the mount separately or not:
