    wow thank you, extremely helpful in my decision to go with larger aftermarket lights. they look good though! i just need a bit more oomph.

      I like the look of the SeaDoo lights. But they are not extremely bright. They're good for coming up to a dock at night and driving slowly. But as you saw, they are not headlights like you'd see on a car.

    Helpful video but the paper drilling template was put on the wrong side. The curved end follows the inner curve inset on each side of the front.

    Thank you for your videos- did your lights come with the mounting template?

    At $300 for "marker" lights I'd be tempted to wire up some 9" LEDs so can see 5 miles away! Or is thst illegal on boats? (Sorry I don't know boating laws)

    • @letsrolldiyauto1532
      @letsrolldiyauto1532  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can have any lights you want, as long as it doesn't interfere with the navigation of other boats. These are certainly expensive, but do look like they're made for the boat (since they are) instead of a simple add-on.

    How you like them after 3 months?

    • @letsrolldiyauto1532
      @letsrolldiyauto1532  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They are still functioning fine. I like them, however, I rarely go out at night, so they haven't had a lot of use.

    Can you provide the part # for that 3 way pigtail? My dock light kit didn't come with it.

    • @letsrolldiyauto1532

      It's the Multiple Accessory Harness listed in the description. The link is there. It does not come with the lighting kit.

    UGH Sea-Doo is SO expensive. How does a company justify $300 for this?

    No silicone?

      I use a dielectric grease on electrical connections.

      @@letsrolldiyauto1532 Silicone at the thru hull bolts and around the hole for the electrical connection.

    • @letsrolldiyauto1532
      @letsrolldiyauto1532  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@riverakers I did not. The instructions do not call for it and there is a rubber gasket that is designed to provide the water seal. But the area where these lights enter the hull is not a water tight compartment anyway. It freely communicates with the anchor bay which not water tight. So I used the dielectric grease on the electrical connections only.

    They made it separate , why ? A motor vessel by law must have proper port , starboard and white light . This vessel should be sold with proper lighting rule of law ; if it requires a registration it requires proper lighting thereby enablinh intentional or unintentional use . Vendors sell portable clamp on port and starboard lighting for smaller vessels....separate lights strikes me as chinsing.....don't do that seadoo...rise above that and take your rightful place....be careful how you take a rats advice .

      The SeaDoo does have the port and starboard lights and the white mooring light. It does come with the lighting required by law. These are "headlights". Yes there are portable after-market lighting options. But these are made for the boat and can help when dockig at night.

      The switch comes with all required lights.. clearly you do not have one yet @williamsmith5521 these are much brighter and are great for night docking or illumination for fishing.
