    EDIT: the trim tabs on the Switch don’t go up and down with the trim button. It merely adjusts the nozzle for the jet. But the info on directional information is correct still. My apologies for wrong description.

    Hey man thanks I really enjoyed this video. The wife wants a pontoon boat for next season and I’ve been looking at these, as they look fun (I’ll keep my Malibu Echelon, thank you) But I’ve got a couple of questions:
    Do you know what they draft ?
    How are they to winterize ?
    And approximately how low of a bridge will it fit under when the binimi is stowed down ?
    As you can imagine I’ve got a low bridge and some shallow water to navigate (that my Malibu inboard makes it thru)
    Thanks again for your help,

      The right rear corner railing is hinged. Unscrew the bolts and you have a gate . Some guy posted this on TH-cam. He uses a type of bungee cord to hold the gate closed. Remove the corner seat and you are then in really good shape to get in and out!

    Nice video! Thinking about the Compact Sport but have a couple questions I'm hoping you can help with. 1. Does the Switch Compact Sport come as yours is configured - 4 seats (plus captain), 2 corner pieces and the lounge? 2. I have an 8' garage (with 93" of clearance) which is lower than their 8'2" specs. In your experience, do you think I could lower the folded part of the Bimini 5-6" by lowering the air pressure in the tires and dropping the hitch as it backs into the garage? Seems it would be close, but would be disappointed if I had to spend a ton of time removing and installing the Bimini every time...

    Not trying to be rude, but when you launch your boat you take the back tie downs off. Back your boat into the water, then you climb in boat, start engine, let it warm up, unlatch you winch, then use the engine to get boat off trailer. After the boat is docked, pull your truck out. I have never once pulled a boat off or on trailer by hand.

    • @twenty7squared
      @twenty7squared  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Like I said in the video I didn’t back my trailer in far enough so the boat didn’t float back. I was trying to video and do everything at once. Normally the boat will float right off. I cannot power the boat on and off the trailer. Our dock specially request that you don’t power load to not disrupt the lake bed at the ramp. I RARELY launch solo but when I do this way works great for me. I’m sure whatever works best for you or others is the way you’ll do it!

      It also depends on the type of slip... whether the slip is on a lake, on a faster moving river (depending on rain fall and height of the river), and so forth (probably many more things to consider). It's not quite cut and dry. As a safe boater, even when alone, you need to make the decision that is the safest for you and your vehicle and boat (and trailer), for that matter. It's a juggle of what is safest, what is easiest, and who you would not like to piss off today (depending on how BUSY your closest slip gets, regardless of season).

      Correct. You can easily get off the front with the swinging gate / door. I would imagine that with it's squared stance and boxy dimensions that the direction changes while pulling an inner tube are most likely extremely vicious as all that surface area makes for angular cornering characteristics.. I wouldn't be surprised if people popped a shoulder out of its socket once or twice during a rough tubing session.

    Without the trailer light wire, do you have to use a clip for the trailer brakes to not engage?

    • @twenty7squared
      @twenty7squared  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey there. Not sure what you’re asking? The only way to disengage the trailer lights is to unplug it from the harness attached to your vehicle.

    • @newbie_nugs
      @newbie_nugs ปีที่แล้ว

      @twenty7squared the reverse light pin on you harness sends a signal to disengage the trailer brakes. When you unhook your harness it doesn't tell the brakes to not work. So in a jolt it's suppose to lock brakes up. Was just curious if you used the little adapter piece to block the sliding part of your trailers hookup that triggers the brakes.
      Or of backing down the ramp hasn't ever triggered the brakes for you

    • @newbie_nugs
      @newbie_nugs ปีที่แล้ว

      @twenty7squared that was the biggest comment I've seen on the seadoo trailer is backing the ramp locks brakes up so if you dont have the proper 5 or 7 pin then they put the adapter on it to disengage the slide all together.

    7-900 LBS overweight for towing, definitely wouldn't recommend that, especially with the JK's horrendous brakes. Seems easy enough

      @twenty7squared  ปีที่แล้ว

      Tows just fine! The weight is based on the shorter wheel base. The 4dr had a tow capacity of 3500. They give the 2dr a lower rating cause it’s short. But motor wise it does perfectly fine. I’ve never had any issues stopping… 🤷‍♂️

      Depends on your garage height. Boat is a little over 8’ with the Bimini down.

      Hm, yes. Because he obviously needs a 3500 dually diesel truck for a 13 foot boat that's essentially a jet ski with outriggers, and only weighs 1,700 pounds max.

Boating spots by me are a bit bland and are dominated by much larger boats but having such a small boat that maneuvers like a jet ski while being big enough to fit watersports fun, friends and coolers at an extremely affordable price is amazing, lol

    It looks like a fun boat but not good on larger water I’m guessing. I live in Ontario very close to Lake Simcoe and it’s about 25 miles long by about 18 miles wide at its widest point. This lake can get pretty rough fast. I like the look of this boat but I find the prices are rather restrictive in my case. The prices of everything have gone up so much I’m surprised people can afford to buy the toys they have. Obviously wages have gone way higher to be able to buy $80,000.00+ pickups, $50,000.00+ cars $30,000.00+ boats and live in $600,000.00 + homes where I’m live. I’m retired with only government old age pension and didn’t invest in Microsoft when it first came out. Stupid me.😳😬🫢👍👍🇨🇦
