People think NFP doesn’t work because people who use NFP tend to have large families. Oddly enough the people who practice nfp are open to large families. Because of health issues and the approval of my priest.I use Marquette and have managed to not get pregnant for over 6 years. So yes nfp does work but it’s also a huge cross because my husband and I have to practice chastity within our marriage. I know a lady who told me that nfp is too difficult that she’d rather have kids. She’s 13 kids in .

In periods of abstinence use it as an opportunity to grow closer to God by fasting and praying for one another offer up by suffering associated with it for each others salvation as the souls in purgatory as well as your children. And remind each other that you love each other and use the sexual energy to lovingly serve others.

Chastity, for love of God, makes a marriage stronger. That is also a SACRED intimacy uniting you to God and to each other. Look at it as a BLESSING and not as a drudgery. You will find it brings you so much joy.

I love this! I have been pregnant 10 times and have 6 living children. Our last baby was born when I was 41, but I had two more pregnancies after when I was 45 and again at 47. I would have loved to have those two as well as the older two babies in our lives. More children are such a blessing to a family! I love watching how our children get along with each. Homeschool has also been a gift, and they have grown close because of it. If only everyone could see how much joy a big family can bring. Thank you for your witness to this!

I reached out to Louise almost 3 years ago after watching your first video on the Marquette method and I’ve never looked back. There is a definite peace that comes with this method for me. My husband struggles with this teaching of the church and I find it much easier but he with God’s grace supports this. I definitely love the objectivity of it as well and coupled with the science behind it helped my husband with it as well. That part of the billing’s ovulation method I also found stressful, ‘reading’ my daily symptoms correctly.

I started Marquette because of your older video a year and a half ago. I got off of birth control and because of my charting my doctor found out I needed surgery because I had a large mass on my ovary. We had a house with a ceiling that fell in and Catholic Heart came and fixed it so we could sell the house. That gave me the money to pay for the surgery. The doctor said that if I had left the mass to fester then after a year it would have become cancerous. I had so many doctors in that year of NFP telling me to go back to birth control but I refused because one Catholic doctor told me about the morality side. Anyways, your video sent me on a beautiful and painful journey so I am very grateful! God bless!

My mom said my twin and I were accidental babies because our brother is just 10 months older than us. It might seem harsh (she always says it with a smile), but in reality, I took it as God's Providential Will. He wanted us with Him for eternity. No matter what my parents intended.
'Accident' is not in God's Vocabulary in my opinion. ❤

Let's put it this way it wasn't planned on your parents part, and did you know half of all pregnancies are not planned, whether they use NFP or not.
Interesting enough one of the main Matrix s they used to gauge how much sex a society is having is by single mother birth, and it has been dropping. ( which that is a good thing, but it shows marital sex is declining also.
Gen Z marriages Millennial marriages are having far less sex than the baby boomers.

Obviously it wasn't planned on your parents part?
But 50% of pregnancies are not planned whether they use NFP method or something else all birth control has a failure rate.
One thing they used as a matrix for gauging how much sex people are having in marriage and in the society as a whole is single mother birth
And single mother births have been dropping precipitously what shows are couples are having less sex in marriage too. In fact a study done showed that Millennials and gen z's are having far less sex in marriage and out of marriage.

Yes but you can use cheap lh test strips to double check to not miss peak readings

    • @JNCPiano
      @JNCPiano 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

That's true - but with multiple (more than 4) wrong peak readings why would someone continue to use it especially given how expensive it is? There are almost no editing capabilities (for example, editing a false peak so it doesn't 'program' the next cycles according to wrong data.) And there's no numerical data (how high is the LH and estrogen?) In contrast, the cheap LH sticks are great to use with an app so you can actually see what's going on (but then you can't track estrogen). The technology needs serious upgrades. As I said, I'm curious to see what the Mira monitor studies will look like - that also tracks progesterone. @@ashleyslack5960

We like Couple to Couple League International method of Sympto-Thermal, especially as the moral / theological groundwork foundation is laid well in the first class showing the ginormous difference between the evil of contraception and the good of NFP.
NFP is not politically correct, but it’s Biblically correct.
I think Mary and Joseph can teach us a lot in this area of “true married” love in its more perfectly chaste state of their unique marriage. Men especially need to learn from St Joseph the Most Chaste spouse and Terror of demons.

@@AnnulmentProof where does the Church say this officially? I’ve heard some within the Church say murder (abortion) is worse than contraception. I personally think contraception is the greater evil. But I’ve not seen this officially in the CCC nor any magisterial document. Regardless, contraception and abortion are both evil. However, Natural Family Planning is not contraception. Read the papal encyclical Humanae Vitea. NFP is about working WITH God and not against God. It’s simply fertility awareness. Thus, a married couple can use NFP to get pregnant (many “infertile” couples would come to our NFP class hoping to learn something that the doctors couldn’t help them with so they could achieve pregnancy. They all did too! Praise God!). Also, for a serious reason, NFP can be used to space your blessings. Say your wife just had your third child by C-section and the doctor says your wife for her safety must not get pregnant for at least 1 year to heal up. So then during the fertile time each month (about a week to 10 days) that married couple should practice abstinence and show their love in other ways. True love waits. Analogy: fasting from chocolate is NOT the same thing as eating chocolate but then vomiting it up. Do you see the difference? Abstinence, if for a good reason, as St Paul said, is not sinful but can be a sacrificial sign of love! Joseph & Mary loved each other dearly yet they practiced abstinence their whole life. They did not sin. So, please, never say contraception is the same as NFP. It is not!!! Analogy: you want a dream house. Two options: A) work hard for 10 years then buy it, or B) rob a bank and buy the house tomorrow. Are both the same? No. There’s a right way and a wrong way. The end does not justify the means.
