Thank you SO much ladies! My husband and I have just contacted a Creighton method practitioner and we're hopeful that it will help us finally be able to start a family together. Prayers would be greatly appreciated!
So glad you made this video!! More people need to hear about NFP! 💕🙏 it’s amazing, natural & God-given!! My fiancé and I are currently learning the Sympto-Thermo Method which focuses on mucus and temp. We’re super excited by it and it’s pretty amazing to see just how much prayerfully putting God at the center of your fertility brings couples closer together. 💕
This video is worth to watch!! I have been in the last 2 month going into the transition from birth control to NFP and I am just so excited and grateful that God has guiding me through this journey. I went to Med school and YES it was probably that chapter that nobody studied because they didn’t even asked about it in the tests. Everything was about birth control. I just found out that it was professional that could help me learn more about it!!! Thanks so much!!
Hi! I'm slowly making my way through all your videos and I'm super excited to have found your channel!! Lots of the Catholic TH-camrs have been married for awhile and have young children, and as an engaged person, I'm loving the newlywed stuff!! Video suggestion, if you're up for it: having a Catholic engagement and planning a Catholic wedding 👍👍👍
Hey! So sorry I missed your comment, I can never figure out TH-cam notifications haha! I am so glad you're enjoying it! Totally up for it, I love that idea. Thanks for the suggestion!
AWESOME job ladies!! I'm a fellow Nurse and Creighton practitioner - thank you for sharing this beautiful gift with others on social media :) God Bless!!
My wife is using Lady-Comp as NFP method and we are very happy about it. Very reliable and easy to use. Lady-Comp is not only to avoid pregnancy in natural way but also can help you to achieve it and has gender prediction feature which is 60%-70% percent accurate :-)
Welcome to Creighton! It is honestly so great and empowering no matter if you're charting to avoid pregnancy, achieve pregnancy, diagnose a fertility issue or just learn more about your body! It's so great!
What about using a barrier method during fertile days? I’ve read that this can affect cervical mucus readings although I’m hoping this is not the case.
Also tho, my actual question was what her response is when people say, “Isn’t Natural Family Planning contraception?” My other one wasn’t as much a question as a comment/statement ;) CCLI (couple to couple league) teaches sympto-thermal... It’s not a different form of NFP ☺️
I wanted to make sure we addressed the differences between types of NFP so I thought your comment led into that well. I apologize for overlooking your other question!
Sarah's responses: Q: Isn't NFP contraception? A: There is nothing contraceptive about paying attention to your body and being aware of times of fertility and infertility. Contraception means you are using artificial to deliberately block pregnancy, and that is not what we are doing with NFP. Q: But it's like you're playing God... A: NFP can actually make you realize how little control you have over your fertility. Just because you're using fertile days doesn't mean you're going to get pregnant. Choosing not to intentionally achieve pregnancy or abstain from intercourse is certainly not a sin. Most of our lives we are not having sex and that does not mean we are sinning.
Natural Family Planning is a tool supported by the Catholic Church for many reasons including avoiding or achieving pregnancy, and diagnosing many fertility issues. I suppose you mean that using NFP to avoid pregnancy should only be used in extreme circumstances. The Church expresses that NFP upholds the dignity of the human person as well as the marital union. She also says that couples may decide to naturally space births by using NFP for just reasons. "For just reasons, spouses may wish to space the births of their children. It is their duty to make certain that their desire is not motivated by selfishness but is in conformity with the generosity appropriate to responsible parenthood. Moreover, they should conform their behavior to the objective criteria of morality." [Catechism of the Catholic Church 2368]
Hello! We are in Florida but Sarah works with clients virtually all over the country! Feel free to reach out to her if you are interested in learning more, her contact info is in the description box :)
Are nfp nurses found in all hospitals? Is it covered by insurance? By any chance have there been clinical trials to support the data? As a person suffering from pcos, very interested in this natural remedies.
Unfortunately there aren't NFP/NaPro nurses/doctors in all hospitals, however the doctors will be covered by most all major insurance companies. For example, down here in Miami I only know of one NFP doctor and the closest NaPro doctor is more than 4 hours away. We didn't talk much about NaPro in the video, but that is the technology used to naturally treat issues like PCOS, endometriosis, etc. If you check out the NaPro website (fertilitycare.org) you'll be able to see their data/studies as well as the providers. Hope this helps!

Creighton will help you identify any and all observations, whether that is a dry day or a mucus day. There is not only peak type mucus but many other distinguishable factors that we look at to see what her body is telling her. Cervical mucus is necessary for pregnancy to occur. It's possible to ovulate and not have cervical mucus, some women have limited to no cervical mucus. This is something we would observe through charting and address with the NaPro medical application to address those reproductive concerns and treat any related issues.
Great question! It works the same way for women postpartum. She'll be making observations of her cervical mucus to determine fertility. She will ovulate again before her first period postpartum so if she is avoiding pregnancy Creighton can help her chart her days of fertility to avoid intercourse on those days. Or on the other side she can equally use it effectively postpartum to achieve pregnancy again soon if that is her intention!
Can diabetes make irregular periods? I’ve been pregnant twice and miscarried both times and since I haven’t been able to get pregnant. Also is there free places that does this. I went to a fertility specialist and they want me to pay 300 dollars for the class they give...
That would be a great question to discuss with a NaPro Doctor (fertilitycare.org/what-is-naprotechnology). I am so sorry for your losses. I'd highly recommend Creighton & NaPro because this will help you learn about what is going on with your cycle and body to help you become physically healthy and address any health concerns. I don't know of free fertility care centers. Those who are trained practitioners have invested time, energy and finances for years to earn the education to teach others & so the cost of services should reflect their expertise and the value clients receive. You can find a Creighton Fertility Care Center here: fertilitycare.org/
I would agree. I started 6 months before my wedding and I thought that was perfect. It gave me enough time to learn charting and learn my body before I really needed to use it accurately with my husband!
Creighton was developed based on the Billings method. Creighton has standardized mucus observations while Billings is more subjective. Both are accurate, just different methods.
This is something you'd have to discuss with a NaPro doctor. Typically double peak is caused by stress but there could, of course, be other causes that would be identified by further testing. Check out fertilitycare.org to find a practitioner/doctor!
Sorry..lol when you mentioned about chemicals in the water from peeing..it reminded me of that famous quote from Alex Jones. Lol. Anyways, thank you for your explanation, I'm been looking into this because I've been trying 8 years to conceive another child, I just found out I have EM hyperplasia with atypia and I'm trying to find a specialist to help me get pregnant since a hystroctomy is recommended.
Sara Mallett with Creighton, usually we assume period days are fertile days because it’s very difficult to test for mucus on your period. If using a tampon or period is heavy we always assume it’s a fertile day since we’re not able to test for it and it is possible (though rare) to ovulate early during your period. If you have a light period day and aren’t using a tampon you can check for mucus as you would other days and then determine if you are fertile or not and then make a determination for sex accordingly. Hope that makes sense & helps!
Melissa Tablada yes that makes a lot of sense thank you! Please pray for me I just got engaged and me and my fiancé are planning our wedding and preparing for our marriage ☺️
Melissa Tablada thank you! It has been amazing, Todd and I decided to consecrate ourselves to Mary after I read your blog post on spoken bride (I think that’s where I read your testimony)! Thank you for a great video on NFP it has helped me a lot!
@@saramallett7467 Oh amazing, praise God! I couldn't be more thrilled to hear that! I am glad this helped & if you don't have a NFP teacher yet, feel free to reach out to Sarah (her contact info is in the description box) she is more than happy to help!
If you are trying to achieve pregnancy, then you would have sex any time you'd like - especially on fertile days. Only if trying to avoid a pregnancy you would abstain from sex during fertile days.
Because u tire urself out and the day u tried to make a baby on is not even a fertile day! Lol. That could be 1 answer if I WAS trying to get pregnant. I'm still learning.

i realize it's pretty off topic but do anybody know a good place to stream new tv shows online?
@Ricardo Grayson i would suggest Flixzone. You can find it by googling :)
I had heard about NFP before but never the details so thank you so much for sharing! It was super informative!!

Can your PH balance effect your cervical mucus and then effect your NFP method?
What if your a woman who doesn’t have a significant shift in mucus but could be fertile. How would Creighton work for her?
