  • Yup. It works lol. But it's not worth it. Defeats the purpose of the active mufflers.

    Nah, the active exhaust is annoying af. I like the idea of having the option to make it quite if absolutely necessary but I want it loud 99% of the time. It’s hella annoying to have to fiddle fuck with the toggle every time I get in the car. Thanks for the fuse tip, gonna yank mine and if I’m at the track and have to adjust the noise I can throw it back in.

    Learned something useful about the exhaust and fuses but I’ll probably keep mine as is for the reasons you mentioned

    Wanna know what makes me so mad with the active exhaust? Why do they make it that cold start only starts in quiet or normal... you cant start the car in track

    • @UnnaturalCrayon
      @UnnaturalCrayon ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Turn on the car without starting it out the exhaust in track then step on the brake and hit the start button. Then it starts up on track.

      @@UnnaturalCrayonI think he meant he wished there was an option to make that default.

    1st thing I do is at least sport plus. And track exhaust lol. Never run quiet.

    FYI (This may only affect 2023 gts, idk) Doing this will make the service light come on. When i checked fordpass, it detected a "shortage" in the wiring, which was expected. They do make a plug-in at the valve itself to avoid this, allowing you to take the whole system out without throwing a code if you want to.

      I have a 23' GT with active exhaust I want to pull the fuse on mine to have it fully open but now im not sure ill do it if it throws a service code. Does it throw the check engine light on the dash? Ive seen 21' and 22' active exhaust cars do it with no signs of check engine lights on their dash.

    • @mentrumgaming7541
      @mentrumgaming7541 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @DippinItUp1 it did for me. When I checked the vehicle app, it had said there was a major short in the valve system. Like I said before, there is a plug in (it's like 45 bucks for each side of the exhaust) that tricks the ecu into thinking there are still valves in the exhaust, and you just do a muffler delete all together. It's also worth noting that if the check engine light does come on, you may not be able to use your remote start bc the ecu will try to avoid further damage to the car from "variable situations".

      @@mentrumgaming7541 Interesting, Ill try the plugs maybe. Do you know who sells them?

    • @mentrumgaming7541
      @mentrumgaming7541 ปีที่แล้ว

      @DippinItUp1 Not sure, I've only seen the ones for the gt350, but if the active exhaust is the same on both cars, then those should work, have to do a little nore research on it.

      @@mentrumgaming7541 Will have to check up on it thanks. When you pulled the fuse and it threw a code did it affect drivability at all? like limiting power or not allowing you to select the drive modes? If it doesnt I might just try to pull it and try clearing the code see what happens. I just hate how the car always starts in normal mode and I have to change it to track each time

    Can't you accomplish the same thing by setting the active exhaust to track mode in my mode where it stays on the setting you desire ?

    • @KarzKreated
      @KarzKreated  ปีที่แล้ว

      Every time the car is restarted, it automatically defaults to normal drive mode.

    • @MRAMX390
      @MRAMX390 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@KarzKreatedI have never tried it but can't you do a quiet start up so as not to disturb the neighbors ? If the exhaust always goes back to normal as default between starts then quiet start is rendered useless as well or so it would seem ?

    • @KarzKreated
      @KarzKreated  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MRAMX390 you sure can. You have to activate the quiet startup option in the exhaust menu. Then it will default to quiet mode every time you startup.

      It is. It takes seconds to navigate through the menu and change it. So who knows 🤷🏻‍♂️😄
