I didn’t get active exhaust either cause the first thing I wanted to do was cut off the mufflers for my neighbors. I think they appreciate knowing when I leave
Check the fuse box under the hood. Fuse number 34 it’s a 15 amp fuse. That controls your active exhaust. The passengers side exhaust valve wiring rubs on the frame and blows the fuse. Replace the wiring harness and then the fuse. Hope this helps here is the part number for the harness JR3Z-14A411-H it’s around 70 bucks.
2 issues it would be, one is the wiring harness on the passenger side muffler shorting on the body, or when they put your actuators in they didn't put them in correctly.
I know this has been tweo years but I found this in the installation intructions on the last page of the instructions: "Start the vehicle and cycle the exhaust modes from Quiet to Track." It doesn't go into depth like the ford instructions though.
Man I couldn’t agree more with you on the feeling of driving the car after a week of not driving it, I’m lucky because I don’t daily my cobra so when I drive it, it’s like wow do I really drive this car is such a cool feeling. Loving your videos bro you are really talented making this videos with all of the different camera 🎥 angles, super cool.. Keep up the great work 🙏🏻
Skullcrusher Gaming I’m sure the dealer have record that the exhaust was messed with so matter where you take it won’t matter should have been done before the first time taken in
Gilbert .Guardado I don’t believe that is the case. I work at a dealer (In finance, not service) I’ve been there for two years and have only heard of Ford blacklisting cars (Mainly for lemon law buybacks)
I work in service at a Ford, there is a record in our store record. I can’t see any other dealers record, now do we call to see if there was a problem at the different dealer, yes, only if it looks shady. If you put it back on, it should be ok. By putting on after market exhaust will stop your warranty to that part. Sad, we all love to make our cars personal. Good luck, I will ask a mechanic, if I get a different answer I will let you know.
I have a corsa active video coming out in a few days. Had the same issue with the active. All it is is the spring inside is backwards. Messed with it a bit and she works fine now. Ford just wants money
Did you ever figure out your issue? Suposidly it is a common issue. Alot of times it's the harness at the actuators and needs to be replaced with the newer type. I just put it in track and pulled the fuse to lock the flaps wide open.
The spring will blow , theres a warrenty but ends at 15k ! Its 1k $ to fix one side through dealer ! So i welded mine fully open ! Its way better . I also added an x pipe with thay set up ! Perfect !!!! Hamd alot of other pronlems so i traded my 2019 for a corvettte c7
Bro I’m having the same issue and can’t get it to work. It constantly keeps changing modes and stay in normal. Please help me out once you have it figured out. I don’t wanna have to buy new actuators if there’s nothing wrong with mine.
Hey man I'm having the same issue as you. Changed my Active exhaust on my 23 gt to a flowmaster axle back exhaust and my check engine light is on. I'm just gonna put back my Active exhaust stock at meineke then I'm going to different ford dealer and have them fix the problem, I will just tell them I made a mistake and unplug one of the wire plugs connected to the valve
Teflon 5.0 Corsa works perfectly with the stock technology. It’s never been an issue. I’ve also never met any one with an issue with Corsa or stock. But I’m sure a handful have issue like with anything else.
I'm about to buy a 2019 Mustang GT with active exhaust. But Im buying corsa extremes with non active exhaust system, will I run into anything at that point?
🐎sounds like the calibration failed and Ford deemed the actuator dead. however with your unsupported exhaust mod Ford won’t honor warranty. all the best with reaching a successful solution 🏁
I had the same issue about a year ago , and The only thing I did on mine was resonator deletes , along with an X-pipe . Had the actuators replaced under warranty but now it’s doing the same thing. Only thing I’d mine was covered under roush. Sadly I Don’t have warranty anymore
As of now I’m not sure yet, I’m going to see if there is a reset somehow. They would always rattle . But ford never wanted to Change they out since roush wasn’t getting an error code. So I’m going to try finding the problem first
Ford should take care of you for parts you put on your car! here is the important part of the corsa instructions that you missed. "CORSA recommends that the installation of this system be performed by a qualified service center or professional installer who has the necessary equipment, tools, and experienced personnel"
Get another advice from another Ford Dealer or some other dealers. Talk to part's department's person's. Maybe try to find a dealer who modified their car a bit, a shelby retailer or somethin. One who seem to be open to mods. Same BS here in Quebec. Some of them play on words, depend always who the Service Manager and the dealer manager type... If it come's to nothing after that...maybe disconnect battery, uninstall/re-install exhaust actuators, and do the calibration you got from Ford? Im not a tech but been in mecanic, sales and working in deelership's for 10 years so... You will find someone who got the answer Im sure
Opted for the active exhaust on my euro spec. I reached 2500 miles before the system became inactive and the check engine light came on. After a week at the dealership, the actuator looms were replaced due to inadequate heat shielding..
how do you release the clutch when you shift quickly. dump it or gradually releasing it? i have a 2020 manual gt and i cant get a smooth fast shifting.
I’m taking my actuators out this weekend then trying fords instructions! I’ll let you know if it works! You’re gonna love the Extremes bro I just wish the active wasn’t an issue.
Sucks about the issues. Thankfully I haven't had any active exhaust issues with my Borlas. Some people do see the springs pop out so I'd definitely check to make sure they're still seated properly.
Hey Teflon idk if you figured out the active exhaust issue but I actually found a video that explained what’s wrong with the exhaust that sounded similar to your problem... th-cam.com/video/TYciMxRZow4/w-d-xo.html the link will take you to the video, you have to skip further ahead of the video after he puts the Corsas on
I had the 150k extended warrenty ! .....while its stock ....the wired need to be rewired , if you get towed wrong it could pinch the wire where it will blow as well
I drive a 2019 with active exhaust and had an issue with taking the same right turn at the same intersection that blew codes that had to be corrected by the dealership without any aftermarket exhaust. So Insane it happened at the same place, same intersection weeks part…… and the dealership wouldn’t pay for the new part. Under warranty
So you took off the factory active exhaust and replaced with a Corsa setup and now the active part doesn't work so you take it to the dealer and are surprised they won't warranty the failed exhaust after you changed it out? You're delusional. Either put the factory setup back on or live with your mistake. It's not Fords fault that the aftermarket setup doesn't work.
I didn’t get active exhaust either cause the first thing I wanted to do was cut off the mufflers for my neighbors. I think they appreciate knowing when I leave
I might as well just skipped on it also lol
So if i cut the active exhaust mufflers do i get any light??
@@MixVlogs no you don’t I got rid of mine yesterday

Title should be: "Why You Should SKIP Aftermarket exhaust" 😉
Can’t live without that CORSA though!!
@@coderomes you don't think just an H pipe resonator delete is enough? Brings it to life and doesn't touch active exhaust at all.
Stuff has happened with the factory one as well.
2 issues it would be, one is the wiring harness on the passenger side muffler shorting on the body, or when they put your actuators in they didn't put them in correctly.

The Actuators are very sensitive, make sure u watch videos an install it correctly. even if one bolt is tooo tight it could cause it to trip out,

It makes me want to buy a daily driver haha but thanks dude!!! I certainly appreciate that!
If I were you, but the stock exhaust back on. Take it to a different dealer and get them to warranty the actuators.
Skullcrusher Gaming I’m sure the dealer have record that the exhaust was messed with so matter where you take it won’t matter should have been done before the first time taken in

@@coderomes no problem. Took a few tries to get it. There should be a lot of pressure when you turn the motor to line up the bolt holes.
@@coderomes so was it the spring? You never updated us.
If I am going to put a corsa on is there any point in getting active exaust

Sticking to the cat back roush kit vs the active

I would pull the active sides and make sure the springs are in correct or seated
Gonna check that this weekend!

Has anyone deleted it completely? Wanting to get exhaust done but thinking of getting rid of the active exhaust
Does it switch modes and change right back or is it not changing at all? I had issues with mine at first but figured out the issue and got it fixed
It will switch for a moment then switch back to normal. How did you fix yours?

Dump it and smash the gas if I’m shifting hard and fast! It took me forever to get the timing down bro.
@@coderomesthanks for the info im enjoying your videos!. do you wait a a second before dump it?
The clutch is made for dump shifting at higher RPM. DO not attempt to normal clutch feathering.
Luckily I have a few vehicles none new but all well maintained. So no problem
So would you recommend staying away from active exhaust on a 5.0?
It’s awesome in theory, but I’ve had nothing but issues
