    +1 on the rusty tank ! That style might look good on my youtube build.

  • @RUBIZEN
    @RUBIZEN 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    You could also "blue" your tank. By "blueing" I am talking about using the same process that gun makers use to make their guns blue.You can do it with chemicals. As long as your tank is carbon steel and not stainless you can either "chemical blue" your tank or "rust blue" your tank. Just look up firearm refinishing here on youtube.

    Incredibly beautiful build, watched all of your Episodes and extremely enjoyed them!
    I'm building my own Café/Brat Style CB550 since June and there's a question you could definitely help me with!:)
    Could you please measure the length of your Shock (eye to clevis) and the difference between the highest and the lowest setting?
    That would be incredibly helpful!:)
    Thank you very much and kind regards from Germany!:)

    really nice build, thinking of going with the rust look on my cb. What clear coat did you use and have you had any problems with gasoline spoiling the finish?

  • @salafibrouae
    @salafibrouae 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Jose, I would recommend you do it yourself. Get the basic tools you need and make sure you consult with this "guy" for assistance and guidance as you do the work. I think you'll be much more satisfied with the bike when you have done the work yourself. My first build was just my design, and I had someone else do most of the work. I ended up selling the bike. My second build I have done almost all of the work myself; stripped the bike down myself, took off all of the parts I didn't want, etc. Purchased all of the aftermarket parts and started putting it together. Along the way I bought tools that I needed for a specific task, and I always consulted with my friend. I will not likely ever sell this bike. I recently won an award for the bike, and am still working on it doing some more of the detail work. Apologies for the long post, but hope you decide to do the work yourself, you won't regret it!

  • @MarcGraedtke
    @MarcGraedtke 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    Great Job, Iooking forward to see those changes you're talking about!
    Just for letting you know: The problem with having open carbs "out of tune" is not a shitty running engine at first hand but a lack of cooling. So you might overheat your engine and kill your gaskets... not inevitable but there's a chance to.
    TL;DR: Tuning your carbs is not a thing to do for yourself, it's for your engine.
