    Hand you so much for these tips! I flipped the bag outward today and finally didn’t have a spill. I’m excited to try pulling with the bag outward because I’m getting way too much air inside my bags. 💕

    This is really helpful! I found myself at work and I had forgotten to restock bags. I only had one in my car and had a 12 hour day. I only use bags so I was SOL till I found this video! Thanks again!!!

    I heard the reusable milk containers cause a lot of errors, thinking of just purchasing the pumps with bags! Thank you for this!!

    • @LivforLu

      I did both. I think the bags made life easier in terms of not having to clean containers. In terms of savings the containers are more affordable in the long run.

    I don’t know about reusing the bags. However, I would be careful about using the bags outside of the flanges. I believe that voids your warranty. And with such an expensive pump that seems to require replacement sometimes due to cracking of the hubs or other things, that warranty is very important

  • @qili8766
    @qili8766 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thank you so much for your genius tips! How many times do you recommend to reuse the milk bags? I usually store the bags immediately in the fridge after use.

    • @LivforLu
      @LivforLu  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you so much🙏🏼 I would say max twice. I would base it on the bag how it looks. Let me know how it goes 🌱

      @@LivforLuI think twice makes sense as milk are safe for 4-6 hours in room temperature. Thank you very much again!

      You could refrigerate the bag until your next use...

    Hi!! Thanks for the video!! Quick question- let’s say I pump into the bag and only get 2 ounces, can I pump into the same bag without emptying it even if I took it out from the pump?

    • @LivforLu
      @LivforLu  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! Thank you for the feedback! As long the milk is at the same temperature it should be fine. I used to add the milk into the small bottle. let’s say I had 2 oz on each, once it hit the same temp in the fridge I would mix them to complete a full 4 oz

    Hi there. Do we need a special flange for the milk bags or do can we use the flanges ours came with? I believe we have Gen 1.

    • @LivforLu
      @LivforLu  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I believe the bag size is generic but double check with willow. I used the Gen 2 and bags worked fine up until last year

  • @andreacuenca7994

    Hello!! I tried with the bags out but still got the notification that the bags were full when it hit more then 4oz. I tried it once and it worked then the next session with a new bag it didn’t work .

    • @LivforLu

      Have you tried cleaning the valves? And make sure that the pump is secured and pressed to your chest otherwise it will fill with air

    Hii. I just purchased this pump and am waiting for it to be delivered. I am super excited about it and was watching your video. I was wondering when you drain the milk bag with the toothpick method, you don't have to wash it or anything you just pump again? Or do you fridge them until your next pump session? Thank you

    • @LivforLu
      @LivforLu  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Sarah, that's so exciting!! Let me know what you think about the pump! def worth every penny for me.
      Before I got the containers I used to drain the milk with the toothpick method and then place the bag in the fridge until my next pumping session. That saved me from utilizing so many bags at every session since I used to pump every 4 hours. Use your judgment is the sense of if the bag is over used to replace it immediately. I replaced my bag using this method after 4 sessions or so. Let me know if this is clear and best of luck !!! xoLu

    How do you store your pumps when not using them?

    • @LivforLu
      @LivforLu  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! I usually stored it in a small lunch box with all the accessories. I tried to have them all together to grab it and go!

    Hey! Any idea why I am getting am "all full" alert when my containers are not full, most the time they're not even close to being full! And also the app will say I have 4 Oz or more!

    • @lisacole2755
      @lisacole2755 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is likely due to air entering the bags. This can happen when the flange is too big. There's some willow Facebook groups where you can get sized. You may need an insert. I use a 15 mm insert in my flanges.

    • @LivforLu
      @LivforLu  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes! and also make sure that they are correctly pressed and that the pump bra used is not too loose.

    • @LivforLu

      Hi Brenda, its on my Medela video on 4:55min. Those are the ice packs I currently use with the Medela bottles. I used to use the Medela transportbag but now i just use medium size lunchbag I got from a store similar to target.

      Hey love! make sure you're pressing on the valve to lock into place and hold the pump tight to your breast once you press start and its past the expression part. I know its a process but totally worth it!

    Do you change the bags on each pump?

    • @LivforLu
      @LivforLu  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes when I stored them directly. If I wanted to re use them I would only do it for about 3-4 times and I made sure that put the bags in the bridge if so: let me know if this helps!

    • @johannajani9701
      @johannajani9701 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LivforLu thank you! It does help a lot. I am just trying to figure out what’s the best way to combine my pumped milk from the same day into one container. Do you think if I pump and mix all the same day milk and freeze it would be fine ?

    • @LivforLu
      @LivforLu  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@johannajani9701 only mix milks when they are at same temp. I would add my first pumped milk in a bottle and the second round in another then once it’s been a couple of hours mix them and give it to my baby or leave it in the fridge . I wouldn’t recommend to freeze just because sometimes you won’t know how old the milk really is unless you have a very detailed system to keep track !
