I deleted all of my social media (except TH-cam) in 2019 and my life became soooo MUCH better. It really showed who my "friends" were. Everyone has my phone number but i haven't heard from one single person. Not one. Stay true to yourself, always.
I did exactly the same. I too deleted social media except TH-cam because I was tired of everyone posting as if they are the star of their own movie. This is a dangerous way to live because it consumes people who overshare as we can see here.
This is exactly what I felt when deleting mine. There's a difference between convenience and friendship. Social media is toxic and ruins relationships by dragging them into cyber space where everyone relies on it as a communication tool so when you leave, you're no longer reachable….. Dumb!

Shanaan is more interested in her online popularity and her business than her husband or her children. Chris’s parents know something about Shanaan to the point of separating from a negative influence and a bad influence on their son and grandkids.
The creepy thing in this videos is not that you can see what he's thinking, but that you can't. There must have been so much brewing under that awkward, calm, detached exterior. He must have resented her for a long time and she had no idea what his true feelings were. That is the scariest part to me.

Over the years, I've come to realize whenever someone posts on social media about their family and how great and happy they are together....it's all an illusion. Not everything is so perfect behind the fake smiles. I'm not saying that for everyone, but a large majority are usually just faking it.
But then why would someone highlight the negativity in their life? Like I’m not gonna post about the argument my husband and I just had lol. But I will post memories of our vacation bc I want to be able to look back at the good times. Doesn’t mean we’re perfect, I’m just not keen to broadcasting our bad days. I would never make it seem like we never ever argue though

Exactly. I’ve been seeing a lot of people bashing her and insinuating she deserved it. I can’t speak to how she was as a mother or wife, but nobody ever deserves what her and her children got. People are so horrible. We forget that there are no perfect victims. If investigators and reporters picked our lives apart minute by minute, they would probably see flaws in all of us. They might see me on my phone too much, disconnected or irritated or whatever. They’d see all my problems and my weaknesses. I wish people would let this poor woman rest in peace. She was pregnant, cheated on and then murdered, and then her children were also murdered. That’s not enough for people, they have to destroy her reputation as well. Let the dead rest in peace FFS.

The Lexus car the company 'gave' Shanann was loaned to her while she was managing to hoodwink a lot more people into the scam, and would have been snatched back if she had a 'bad' few weeks failing to enrol lots of new mugs into the scheme. The scam is all about selling start-up packs at ludicrously high cost to new members allowing them to ostensibly become privileged dealers in these products - which are no different to the protein shakes and cereal bars you can buy in shops, and about as pointless. Not surprisingly Shanann had been a successful car salesman, an industry so loaded with unwholesome practices and scurrilous psychological tricks that if we knew about it we would never buy another car. Shanann's life was a sham and a scam, and although Chris hadn't achieved the level of dishonesty his wife exhibited he thought he could lie as convincingly. The police saw right through him immediately.

I dated someone who posted everything on social media. we never had an inside joke or pictures that weren’t posted for likes. He was really a great person but after a while it was like living in a fish bowl. The little moments between us felt manufactured and inauthentic. The connection we had was eventually lost in cyber space. I don’t think people realize how detrimental social media can be to relationships when you start feeling like a prop. Maybe if both people are going into it together but when it’s one persons thing and they are taking pictures of dinner and you just want to eat etc it becomes hard for the person that just wants to live life without the “likes”.
I had a good friend that was like that, every single moment was taking videos or pictures, I hated it, I didn't even have Instagram. But I soon found out she wasn't my friend, she heard from someone that she rarely sees that I spoke badly about her. She didn't even come to me and asked if it was true. And started spreading rumors about me. That was the end for me I didn't want to speak to her or see her again

My husband doesn’t use any social media. When we first met, I would post daily and one day I realized I wasn’t ever living in the moment and over time just stopped grabbing for my phone the second something felt like a “moment to share”. Life is so much better this way!

Watching this again and just noticed - during the mint thrive thing he actually did look engaged and genuine until she did the "it's not about you this year" when he mentioned red velvet, his whole demeanor changed after she said that. I know this is of little consolation, but I'm happy Shannan's family got 6 weeks undisturbed with her and her babies in North Carolina. Those are the last memories they'll have of them, and by far the most precious.

He didn't want to pay the child support and alimony. He just wanted his family out of the picture so he could be free to do whatever he wanted with the woman he was cheating with. He was completely selfish and heartless.
He may have felt overwhelmed by their financial situation. A divorce would make it even worse off. Plus having to put the kids through all of that, no good parent wants to do that. All of that said, the choice he made was never going to be the right answer. Even staying in a depressing marriage until the kids are grown would have been better. I'm sure Shanann didn't make it easy on him.

Every once in awhile I revisit this case. It’s the most interesting and devastating case I’ve ever heard. How a “family man” can put on this mask and persona for so many years and then just explode with rage, revealing what’s been building inside….
That’s exactly how it happened. He suppressed the rage he felt at never being able to do or say anything within the marriage, without his wife overruling him or belittling him by telling him he couldn’t do anything correctly. He was forced to be a part-time nanny after work, while she got out her stupid camera and filmed every little detail about their lives. In addition, he worked hard outside of the home, and she had them in debt, not once, but two or three times. She ignored bills to buy stuff that she could film. A true believer in “fake it till you make it.” Her parents had been bankrupt, while his was very frugal. The guy didn’t even own a car! (Nor did she, that’s a lease vehicle.) He suppressed everything like a volcano and one day, the volcano lid blew off. They ought never have married.
My friend divorced a man just like him a few years ago, he had been the "perfect" husband for years but then we then saw him for who he really was, a man who did everything because my friend told him to, he never did anything on his own, he would take the kids to the park if she told him to but if she didnt he would stay home looking at his cellphone all day, and everything was like that. When her family visited them she asked him to pick them up from the airport but if she didnt he would have never offered. Then one day he got a young mistress and abandoned his family, I should give him credit for not killing his wife and children but he effectively cut them off his life like they were nothing, he never really cared, he was just playing a part and is doing the same now with his new wife.

I can't really blame his parents for not wanting to "engage". They were probably over her filming and narrating every moment that they spent with her. Not everyone wants to be filmed. Also, it's not like she was spending time with them, because she was more focused on filming everything (and trying to convince everyone how perfect everything was) than enjoying it it seems. Very sad, to put it extremely mildly, how this story ended.
It's so creepy to see them in that house. Knowing they're 3 months behind in the mortgage, which means they're behind on everything else too. God the stress of having that giant house on your back, knowing you're drowning more and more every day.
Le-Vel was draining their bank account. Those MLM deals look flashy & all that but how much was she having to pay for her trips and stuff? Makes ya wonder. Sad sad story 😢

I saw his reaction when she announced him that they will have a 3rd child. It was visible that he pretends to be happy, especially at the end when he says ,,wow". He was fed up with all that FB crap reality show and he deleted his FB account at certain point. He chosen the worst possible option to escape from all of that, he had a choice to get divorce when he arrived to the point of no return, but instead they took completely crazy IMO decision that the best way to fix things between them will be to have 3rd child. Which meant just more pressure and more money problems. I can't imagine how was he capable to do such horrendous crime, for more than 8 years he was completely dominated and submissive, good husband and father. Everybody says he is malignant narcissist who get cornered. I can't imagine how he could methodically kill his family and think that he will continue his life just like that, but I can understand partially why this all happened, sadly the role of Kessinger was never investigated.

I knew nothing about this case but saw him being interviewed on the porch at his home on a TV interview, and I could tell by his behavior he had something to do with her disappearance. Then 2 days later he confessed. I don't understand HOW someone could murder his own family, it's just shocking. These videos are beyond heartbreaking.

Right! I recently lost my dad completely unexpectedly just this May. He was only 57 years old. While we have so many physical memories and photographs (still any abundance is never enough in a situation like this), I wish I had more video footage. I was watching a few that I had on FB and it was just so….. Idk. I felt lots of emotion but it left me desperately wishing I had more. Especially so I could hear his voice and the kids could remember it as well. Made me and my husband to try to do better at documenting things that matter. Not for everyone to see as it isn’t our style but just for memories. A bit off the main subject but it also had us discussing him stepping up with camera duty as well. If we look back at all our photos, I’m not in many. Mostly because I’m usually the one taking them but there are some other reasons why I try to avoid the camera at all cost lol 😆. But I’d hate for these memories to be looked back on and I’m no where to be seen. I’m sure my kids young and old won’t even notice the things about me that I loathe. So I definitely will be sucking it up and jumping in every picture I can despite how I think I look or feel.

I deleted all of my social media (except TH-cam) in 2019 and my life became soooo MUCH better. It really showed who my "friends" were. Everyone has my phone number but i haven't heard from one single person. Not one. Stay true to yourself, always.

Over the years, I've come to realize whenever someone posts on social media about their family and how great and happy they are together....it's all an illusion. Not everything is so perfect behind the fake smiles.
I'm not saying that for everyone, but a large majority are usually just faking it.

Do you know about the fraudulent sales set-ups called Multi-Level Marketing? It's like the illegal Pyramid schemes and is all about recruiting more victims, which Shanann was particularly proficient at doing. Their whole life is a sham, borrowing up to their eyeballs on credit to make it look like they're really prospering in order to make others think they too will share in the bounties of this 'incredible' new product. It's fraud, purely and simply, and the more dishonest you are the better you will be at it. The countless videos of Shanann extolling the virtues of these patches, shakes and cereal bars show her skill at making out the products were tasty, full of vitamins, remarkable beyond belief etc. The videos I found especially offensive were where she utilised her innocent kiddies to cry over not getting the cereal bars because Shanann pretended they were hers alone, the message clearly that this product is so tasty you will even take it from your children. The Lexus car the company 'gave' Shanann was loaned to her while she was managing to hoodwink a lot more people into the scam, and would have been snatched back if she had a 'bad' few weeks failing to enrol lots of new mugs into the scheme. The scam is all about selling start-up packs at ludicrously high cost to new members allowing them to ostensibly become privileged dealers in these products - which are no different to the protein shakes and cereal bars you can buy in shops, and about as pointless.
Not surprisingly Shanann had been a successful car salesman, an industry so loaded with unwholesome practices and scurrilous psychological tricks that if we knew about it we would never buy another car.
Shanann's life was a sham and a scam, and although Chris hadn't achieved the level of dishonesty his wife exhibited he thought he could lie as convincingly. The police saw right through him immediately.

I dated someone who posted everything on social media. we never had an inside joke or pictures that weren’t posted for likes. He was really a great person but after a while it was like living in a fish bowl. The little moments between us felt manufactured and inauthentic. The connection we had was eventually lost in cyber space. I don’t think people realize how detrimental social media can be to relationships when you start feeling like a prop. Maybe if both people are going into it together but when it’s one persons thing and they are taking pictures of dinner and you just want to eat etc it becomes hard for the person that just wants to live life without the “likes”.

My husband doesn’t use any social media. When we first met, I would post daily and one day I realized I wasn’t ever living in the moment and over time just stopped grabbing for my phone the second something felt like a “moment to share”. Life is so much better this way!

He didn't want to pay the child support and alimony. He just wanted his family out of the picture so he could be free to do whatever he wanted with the woman he was cheating with. He was completely selfish and heartless.
I think the girlfriend talked him into it.Hes weak who seems to do what he's told.
He may have felt overwhelmed by their financial situation. A divorce would make it even worse off. Plus having to put the kids through all of that, no good parent wants to do that.
All of that said, the choice he made was never going to be the right answer. Even staying in a depressing marriage until the kids are grown would have been better. I'm sure Shanann didn't make it easy on him.

Every once in awhile I revisit this case. It’s the most interesting and devastating case I’ve ever heard. How a “family man” can put on this mask and persona for so many years and then just explode with rage, revealing what’s been building inside….
That’s exactly how it happened. He suppressed the rage he felt at never being able to do or say anything within the marriage, without his wife overruling him or belittling him by telling him he couldn’t do anything correctly. He was forced to be a part-time nanny after work, while she got out her stupid camera and filmed every little detail about their lives.
In addition, he worked hard outside of the home, and she had them in debt, not once, but two or three times. She ignored bills to buy stuff that she could film. A true believer in “fake it till you make it.” Her parents had been bankrupt, while his was very frugal. The guy didn’t even own a car! (Nor did she, that’s a lease vehicle.)
He suppressed everything like a volcano and one day, the volcano lid blew off.
They ought never have married.
My friend divorced a man just like him a few years ago, he had been the "perfect" husband for years but then we then saw him for who he really was, a man who did everything because my friend told him to, he never did anything on his own, he would take the kids to the park if she told him to but if she didnt he would stay home looking at his cellphone all day, and everything was like that. When her family visited them she asked him to pick them up from the airport but if she didnt he would have never offered. Then one day he got a young mistress and abandoned his family, I should give him credit for not killing his wife and children but he effectively cut them off his life like they were nothing, he never really cared, he was just playing a part and is doing the same now with his new wife.

He chosen the worst possible option to escape from all of that, he had a choice to get divorce when he arrived to the point of no return, but instead they took completely crazy IMO decision that the best way to fix things between them will be to have 3rd child. Which meant just more pressure and more money problems. I can't imagine how was he capable to do such horrendous crime, for more than 8 years he was completely dominated and submissive, good husband and father. I can't imagine how he could methodically kill his family and think that he will continue his life just like that, but I can understand partially why this all happened, sadly the role of Kessinger was never investigated.

I knew nothing about this case but saw him being interviewed on the porch at his home on a TV interview, and I could tell by his behavior he had something to do with her disappearance. Then 2 days later he confessed. I don't understand HOW someone could murder his own family, it's just shocking. These videos are beyond heartbreaking.

Right! I recently lost my dad completely unexpectedly just this May. He was only 57 years old. While we have so many physical memories and photographs (still any abundance is never enough in a situation like this), I wish I had more video footage. I was watching a few that I had on FB and it was just so….. Idk. I felt lots of emotion but it left me desperately wishing I had more. Especially so I could hear his voice and the kids could remember it as well. Made me and my husband to try to do better at documenting things that matter. Not for everyone to see as it isn’t our style but just for memories. A bit off the main subject but it also had us discussing him stepping up with camera duty as well. If we look back at all our photos, I’m not in many. Mostly because I’m usually the one taking them but there are some other reasons why I try to avoid the camera at all cost lol 😆. But I’d hate for these memories to be looked back on and I’m no where to be seen. I’m sure my kids young and old won’t even notice the things about me that I loathe. So I definitely will be sucking it up and jumping in every picture I can despite how I think I look or feel.
