    Thanks so much for doing this video! I loathe pumping, mostly because of how impractical it is while trying to care for small children. The fact that I would be able to pump and cook dinner at the same time is a game changer. I hate being tethered to the wall. I got things to do! 😁

    My wife hates her life using this because it malfunctions so much... like I’m a man commenting on a breast feeding video because I’m dealing with a mental breakdown. Maybe it’s the difference in nipples so I’m going to need everyone log their nipples from Stevie wonders to National Geographics

      I keep having issues with mine as well. I ordered new milk containers and it’s already not working properly again. One side isn’t actually expressing milk it sounds like it’s sucking air but I in assembled and re assembled all the parts multiple times and have no idea what’s the matter with it. The other side will just flash the orange light instead of starting and it’s completely charged and I do the same thing assembled re assemble and I can’t fix. I don’t want to have to buy new parts every couple of weeks…when it is working I absolutely love it.

    Can you provide information regarding putting the Willow in the refrigerator during the day instead of washing the parts after each pump session?

    • @NewLittleLife

      I wouldn’t put the motor itself into the fridge, but you can look up the “fridge hack” and decide if that’s something you’re comfortable doing!

    I was so excited to get this pump but it is so painful. I have been using it on the lowest suction level, made sure I have the correct flange fit, and made sure I have a supportive bra. The suction on this pump is nothing like I’ve ever seen. It deforms your nipple. My nipples are blistered, bleeding, swollen and hurts during and after pumping. Just not for me and I am so stressed and upset because I really wanted to love it. 😭

    How well would this work with different breast shapes and nipple placements? I had to get special flanges for my medula because my nipples point to the floor. I am nervous this pump wouldn't work for me.

    Do you recommend having this pump alone without a standard electric pump? I feel like this would work better with my active lifestyle, however not sure which to use my insurance for, and they will only cover 1 pump (or partially cover this one). Thanks!

    My daughter 4 days out from her C-Section tried her pump and it was defective. She did not like it and wanted her money back. Buy Buy Baby didn’t let her return or even another one or a credit so she called Willow and the told her they won’t return her money , they’ll give her tips but the won’t honor their product with one that works or give her money back. So fair warning before you spend almost 500 + on this . Think about a medical grade pump they work the best, can be brought to your home and they will help you understand how to use. Correctly.

      In theory, the pump should switch over automatically with your let down, even if it’s quick! But still one of my biggest annoyances with the willow that you can’t over ride it manually 😕

    How does Willow work if your breasts are releasing more than 5oz of milk at one pumping session? My sister usually fills up one bottle and a half of Medela which is usually about 5-7oz at a time.

    • @amandaren1797
      @amandaren1797 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Probably going to have to empty the container or the bag once it exceeds the limit and then continue pumping

    • @NewLittleLife
      @NewLittleLife  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The bags hold 5 oz. the containers would be better, you can empty those a bit easier then continue pumping!

      Correct. One time use. I have seen a few hack videos on TH-cam to reuse, but it’s kinda a pain and potentially unsterile.

    How does this pump compare to the freemie in terms of size? I remember you saying the freemie cups run a little large. Do you find that true for the willow and the elvie as well?

    • @NewLittleLife
      @NewLittleLife  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There’s a sizing guide on the willow website. I do feel like they’re just a little bigger than traditional flanges? I use the 21mm with the willow and 20-21mm with traditional flanges. No problems with the willow. I’m just experimenting with some inserts now!

    Hi, can you use this with one boob, like when im breastfeeding in one boob and pump in the other? Im still trying to establish my breast milk supply, my son's 8 weeks old, ive been using my sister's old pump. I can get about 2.5 oz on left boob and 1.5oz on the right boob if i pump after i wake up in the morning. When i breastfeed my son, i use the haakaa to collect milk from the other boob, i only get about 10ml if im lucky. I plan to use this while breastfeeding and maybe up my milk production. But if it doesnt start to pump unless i get 15ml, will it be pointless to buy this now?

    • @NewLittleLife
      @NewLittleLife  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You can totally use it on just the one side! It starts pumping right away, it just doesn’t switch modes until there’s a little milk in there, which there likely will be if your feeding on the other side :) should be no problem!
      If you watch my videos on the Elvie pump, you can actually purchase just one pump if you want! It’s also a great pump and comes in a single option for half the price. Good luck!
