FAKE Burnt Styled or Shou Sugi Ban Dresser

- Not sure what to call this as it isn't the Shou Sugi Ban technique that I find to be so very cool. But if (or should I say “when”) I ever have the skills to build something from raw wood I am going to have to try it. However, I was inspired by a stain fade technique that Modern Makeovers did. Also as I most often upcycle pieces and they come with various finish I don’t feel safe trying the burn on them…to be completely honest I’m not sure I feel safe burning anything so this “faux” version of it may be as close as I get. I wanted to make the “burnt look” more obvious by leaving the bottom natural. This was my first-time using Tung Oil but is won’t be my last. Really liked how easy it was to use and the finished results.
