I've been able to grow a full beard since 12. I've shaved 3 times a week for the last 10 years, this winter I decided to grow it out and it's been keeping my face warm and cozy and I've been debating trimming it down and keeping it all year round.
Same! Started shaving at 12! Only me and one other kid were able to grow goatees. Had a skinny, boyband beard for years. Now a full beard. Heck yeah, brah. 🤙🔥
Definitely study how to trim it properly because I just shaved my beard off because I told the barber just a small amount off and she cut off like 4 inches and I didn't even like it the first and last time I'll ever let anyone touch my beard because I'm very much a perfectionist and I know exactly how I like it.
Did Gillette send any of you fellow men out there a Mach 3 razor with 2 extra cartridges on your 18 birthday. That's really an amazing marketing strategy. I have had some say yes and most never got a Gillette Mach 3 razor on their 18th birthday and obviously I had begun shaving around 12 years old. Just wondering ?
Hahaha that resonates with me. I can grow a wicked beard, I just end up shaving it and starting from scratch when I miss maintain it and hairs are all different length.
I went to the barber and it doesn't take long for me to get a full box beard. Anyway I went and I said just take off a small amount she ended up cutting 4" off and hair always grows back. Having a beard is a commitment and women take notice of how well you maintain it. It's not that hard to find the time to make yourself look good.
I’m a 60 yr old, bald black man. Yearly I let my beard grown in the winter and shave in the summer. This year I want to let it grow year round. Is there any suggestions on style for me? I’m stuck between the full, Covid, and I think you called it curved. I typically trim my top 1/8th” or so below the top of my mustache.
I feel your pain I started balding at about 32 and now I’m 37 and shave it off almost daily but I noticed for me it looks better when you fade your beard so the sideburn area is shorter than the lip and chin area . I personally think it looked stupid on me when I had my sideburn area long and bald on top lol
COVID hit our house and I was in bed for 30 days. I was too week to shave. 3 months later I look for a change. Not happy with it and don't feel like waiting to see if it looks any better, besides, I'm an avid straight razor user and I do miss the shave..
If you want a beard, a real beard, (mines a few inches long, my beard I am talking about about) don't touch it for about 6 months then go to a barber and they can start to shape it, go back to them about every 5 to 6 weeks for a trim after that. Become best mates with your barber, they hold the key to a magnificent beard. Get beard oil, bam and shampoo when it's starting to come in and you have some growth (not stubble, stubble is not a beard) so it doesn't look to shit but every beard will look shit for a bit while you grow it out. Once if long a enough, use a beard conditioner and mousse (the mousse I use it both) rather than oil so it doesn't get all clogged and matted and greasy, avoid oil if you have a thin beard, just use the mouse instead. Use the shampoo about 3 times a week, or every other day, NOT EVERYDAY. Of course clean your beard every day like you would your face (don't be a piglet with half a pack of doritos in your beard) but don't shampoo it everyday, you will dry it out and you'll end up with dandruff. My main advice is, don't compare your beard to other blokes, we all do that even the blokes with the great looking beards.Mine for example has a curl in it and is not the thickest on my cheeks, so I grow it and style it to work with its natural growth. Also mustache wax is your friend, it will keep your tash off your lip and allow you to style it anyway you like, DO NOT TRIM YOUR TASH IF YOU WANT TO STYLE IT IN FACT PUT THE RAZOR DOWN AND JUST LEAVE EVERYTHING ALONE EXCEPT HIGH UP ON YOUR CHEEKS AND MAYBE YOU NECK. I tend to go for the hungarian when I'm feeling pretty with my mustache. Also don't shave your neck and end up with a chinstrap beard, its not cool, it bloody terrible. Shave just above your Adams (whoever he is) apple and try follow you chin line, I leave that bit to the barbers to be honest.
@Hitler Senpai that's some growth fair play. it depends on how long you want it. If I was you, I'd go to the barbers for a trim to tidy it up a bit. You'll end up going back about every 5-6 weeks for a touch up. Bring a picture of the kind of style you're looking for, that might sound vain but look its your beard why not try make it the way you want it. The barber will start to shape it and won't take anything off that you don't want gone. You won't get it the exact same as the picture but it will give the barber an idea. The barber if they are good, will also advise you on if the style your going for is achievable. My beard is my barbers project, I'm as bald as an egg on top so the rest of my head is no use to him. Happy bearding pal and remember beards are beautiful 👍
U can do all this for sure…some good advise…some your opinion. Me ….I buy decent electric trimmer and a good sharp pair of trimming scissors, balm & oil with scent u like and learn to cut trim beard yourself. It’s not hard and if u make mistake it grows back….
@@chadjohnson438 depends on the shape you want and texture of your beard. I wouldn't let an electric razor near my beard as it would thin it out to much, and if a mistake gets made in my beard it's months not weeks due to its length before the mistake grows out.
@@thechocablockman U need to learn what trimming tools work for you…..It’s part of the process of learning how to trim a beard. If an electric trimmer isn’t your thing, then maybe scissors will work better, that is why I mentioned using both…..My original point in the post was to learn how to trim your beard yourself it’s not hard after enough practice. Once you know what works and by this I mean (tools you use, how you use them, and the maintenance care products you like)it’s very easy and can be maintained daily rather than every 6 weeks as was suggested. My beard would be a burly mess if I did nothing to it for 6 weeks….It’s thick, dense and grows fast.
@@chadjohnson438 going to the trained barbers can also be part of the process or experience. My wife is a trained barbers so if I wanted access to the tools I can easily get them. I prefer going to the barber (not my wife because if she made a mistake divorce is expensive). If you enjoy trimming your beard yourself fair play, but if you don't like me, go to the barbers. If you're growing your beard I still stand over don't touch it at all, let it grow, it will go through a crap phase except that, and then start styling it. I never use oil or balm because oil makes my beard greasy and its too long for balm. Mousse works much better for me personally and wax for my moustache when I'm feeling extra pretty. I don't trim it every week and only get it trimmed every six weeks because I like to give lost hairs time to be replaced but also I've no reason to trim it every week, the mousse keeps it under control.
I know dani u'r video is perfect so please about face shape (((what is slim face shape and how to make a slim face shape exercise slim face shape please u'r video is perfect and awesome
Started to grow a (short) ducktail beard back in December 2021, reached my goal in terms of lengrh 2 months laher (I started with a 10 day stubble, the length transition is from 1mm on the sideburns to about 2,5cm in the chin area) and in terms of appearance, it was a game changer, wouldn't change anything😌🧔🏻
Daniel I would never thought you will mention Vikings series and Ragnar. When I saw the video title I was thinking about his beard 😀 so glad you mentioned it !

Long hair + long beard. Timeless look.
Which style best suit to hide protruding mouth & thick lips?

Do beards look good on dark skin. I've felt that they don't(except in the case of stubble). Especially if it ain't that thick.
