TomNJerry I couldn't grow a beard till I was 23. It's all down to genetics however testosterone helps. If it's still patchy, you could shape it up or let it grow for 2 years and use beard balm.
yeah this dude doesn't understand some people just can't have full beards. There's nothing worse than someone having patchy beard where you can see their whole cheeks and jaw through it. Just shave it off and go with another look.
then shave, preferably with a razor, I was stuck with small patches but every time id shave a little bit more would come out, 21 now and there is just tiny bits with baby hairs but after 3 weeks or so they are almost unnoticable.

@liquid sword I'm sorry, but you're actually the one who looks like they are upset and complaining. You are, very strangely, defending something that doesn't even know you exist.
I tip my hat for the beard but...man this guy has class. He talks smoothly and eloquently but doesn't have a pretention to show off his vocabulary. It was nice listening to this guy.
I've had some form of facial hair, and have never been clean shaven since I was 18, and never will be (I'm now 68). Nowadays I fluctuate between a full beard and a goatee (AKA a circle beard). I am so grateful that genetics have blessed me with the ability to grow thick facial hair. I revel in it.
Funny thing i ve noticed while wearing a beard for so long, is that you become very expressive with your eyes and eyebrows, so much that when you shave, you always look overexpressive 😂
Every time I shave off my beard I walk by a mirror the next morning and the reflection always makes me jump a little. It's weird how hard of a time your mind has with any change.
Love the advice at the end for those who want to grow beards. When I used to grow out a beard, I had no idea that leave-in conditioners and beard oils could be used on short beards to avoid the itchy phase as well. It makes a huge difference.

It started off as lowering the general bulk and the cheekline, until the cheek hair was gone completely, then it went to removing parts of the goatee, then different styles of mustache.
Much like shaving your long hair, the beard is the same feeling. It’s like cutting off days, months, & years of progress. But much of the fun are the stages of growth you get to witness throughout those years.
Still waiting for the next video to drop. I hope it's soon. My 1 month beard is starting to look pretty rough without a good neck cleanup but I'm waiting to see if this dude will show me a better way to do it.
This was very informative, currently a little overgrown (not quite a full lumberjack but close) and wanted to see what options I have and I think I’m going to go with a low rider since being clean shaven makes me look about 12 and I’m not crazy about moustaches on their own
That’s because he’s a barber and he trims his own beard constantly. If he didn’t trim his own beard, it would be wild and unkempt and super long. You don’t have to shave to trim your beard.
I was thinking 10 years with a beard was a super long time and tried to recall how long i've been with mine, and now realize its been 9 years and 10 months aswell
