Played the first division alot

It's actually very admirable they've been keeping this game running for this long. The 20 percent of good Ubisoft does these days.
Not by choice though. Initially they were planning on ending its support with WoNY manhunts but back then Ubisoft’s finances took a nosedive (Breakpoint failure and S&B delay) so they had no options but to milk their ongoing titles a bit more.
Not before they abandoning it for a long time though, they only came back to Division because this game actually got a strong community despite them ignoring the game. They only came back because majority of their recent release flop
Not paying a single dime on a online only ubi game ever again
They may aswell have cancelled support for it, I mean does the manhunts really count as actual content,
The game was & still is on life support.
If you are new to the Division 2 then you could spend hundreds of hours having fun but for existing players that have been playing the same content for years over & over, then you are sh*t out of luck because you have been given a 2 finger salute for being a loyal player.
This last "update" caters for new players & has nothing for veteran players so while they gain new players I think far more will not like the way the Division is heading & will move on to other games, especially The First Descendent.
Not one single person in Division HQ is handling Aaron Keener's supposed corpse and saying, "Hey guys I know the watch says he's dead but it's been a couple hours and this body's still warm." Come on guys. There are clever bad guys and then there's just fully baked incompetence in the heroes that's actually unbelievable. I know you didn't expect to sustain a story like this for so long but good lord.
Division story has been total bonkers for a long time
Keener's "corpse" was a body double. Still absolutely nutters, but that's the reason.
There are signs at the peer when we handled "Keener" at the end of WONY that it was a body double
@@ralliman320 Doesn't make it any better. Keener is SHD enemy number one, and the BoO is full of DNA equipment that has been sitting idle since BT stole the BioReactor. There is no reason someone wouldn't just go pluck a hair off his head and confirm we got the right guy. The fact that he "died" canonically at least several weeks ago and not one person bothered to DNA test the remains - even after Theo CLEARLY demonstrated that ISAC can be fooled, SPECIFICALLY when it comes to identifying corpses - shows a level of incompetence that is impossible to overlook.
OP is right. Either SHD is staffed by the dumbest people on earth, or Ubisoft's writing team is.

The game is free and now 95% of the paid dlc is too now. The only thing you really pay for now is the keener manhunt which the only thing you really miss out on there are some SHD skills. Not too bad. Plus when WonY is on discount it’s generally less than or at 10$. So not bad, again.

You know what, I call this an overall win because the level 40 cap being given to non DLC owners means we’ve finally broke free of the matchmaking split on endgame content. Can’t see how that’s a bad thing given how long the game’s been out for. Gatekeeping is stupid in this situation.

So.. what exactly is coming in year 6?
It's actually The Division who are the main villains in the game.
They take everything,resources, weapons, yes everything that can belong to someone else must always belong to The Division.
Everything must belong to The Division and no one else can stand in the way without getting killed.
I figured that out right from the start.
It has always been The Division who have been the bad guys.
It will be exciting to follow Kelso and Aaron Keener, instead of the capitalists The Division.
I have played since D1 Beta, and I have heard nothing good about seasonal characters in other platforms.. It may force me out depending on how it is implemented.
why is everyone so upset about players that haven’t bought the dlc being able to get to level 40? guys, we have had years to play and being able to access content they couldn’t. we have gotten our moneys worth. another thing is that yes, you can use your main characters instead of seasonal, it just adds a new thing to do every season but you can use your other characters. it isn’t taking away anything from anyone it’s adding stuff. no reason so be mad at them for adding FREE CONTENT

Does that mean you can make a brand new character in the game to play the new seasons and manhunts. Just that also mean if you make a new player you can jump into the game without having to reply warlords or dc campain again and again?
I think players are upset more on the new seasonal format they are implementing in season 2. To progress through the content you will have to create a new character. Which means players main characters are benched as far as seasonal progression goes. End of season = seasonal character being absorbed into your main roster of agents, similar to how Diablo does it. People are fuming over that.

Getting to level 40 they stated you can get to level 40 doing the base game. New York is optional story dlc.
When I heard free Warlords of New York DLC, I figured, "Hey, it's been a while, come back and give it another try." However, after reading, the DLC is only free to new players that purchase the base game. The base game is what, $10? I paid full price at launch, and I still have to pay for the DLC!? The game will stay uninstalled. Thanks, ubisoft!

All of the WoNY map/content is still DLC only, but the summit/seasons/incursions/level 40 are free now

Much as Keener stokes his ego he only turned rogue after he got ambushed by the Rikers. The Rikers were freed by Dragov, an action that turned him rogue.
All this Keener stuff is cloak and mirrors, The name of the season is the first rogue so clearly we are getting a Rikers and Dragov focused season.
Been playing since release but once they announcement Heartland's cancellation I saw no reason to keep playing. Once you get to the end game there's nothing but pvp. I could play D1 pvp for hours but D2 pvp is just so boring. When you guys make something worth me reinstalling the game let me know.
Problem is most ppl playing div 2 now are already level 40, so this is nothing for 90% of players. I hope there is some actual content released this season...and how hard would it be to have a survival mode?
