Hoping for a good PC version with ultrawide support during gameplay and thoughtful controls (movement speed), unlimited refresh rate and native HDR. So far, looks very promising.
Kojimas own fault, instead throwing money away just for the sake of hiring Hollywood actors who don't even fit the role, should have sticked with hayter. That moron kept getting rid of hayter since the beginning, but didn't replace the japanese voice actor. Hayter is as much the voice of snake for the world like the japanese one for Japan. Even though I like playing kojimas new games, I still dislike that guy himself.
"Delta is built... to achieve an unbelievable level of detail." 0:57 Shows MGS3 Snake on a rickety bridge, swaying along to his movements, offering a sense of weight and realism Vs. Delta Snake shuffling along the world's most rigid rope bridge, barely reacting to him. 🤔 3:35 Oh! We hawking merch now. The 70s spy thriller anti-nuclear analysis on war and politics now has preorder bonuses..... _okay._ 2:30 "Delta breathes new life into every cutscene with dynamic lighting, detailed facial animation, and improved sound design, yet it remains _completely_ faithful, shot-for-shot..." I'm reminded of Masahiro Ito's tweet when Konami "updated" Silent Hill 2 and reduced/removed the fog: "To show the enviroments 'clearly' is not necessarily good way." The HALO jump scene, along with many others, illustrates the teams' efforts to modernize the game without retaining the original's aesthetics. The celluloid filter is removed, again ignoring the 70s filmic inspiration the original stived to emulate. It now looks too clear with synthetic white lighting added to every scene. "Completely faithful?" _Riiiiiiiight._ Nitpicks aside, I wait to see if Delta retains what made MGS3 unique: the layered systems that governed the environmental interactions. Can I blow up sheds to starve nearby soldiers? Can I spin around in the survival viewer til I throw up? Can I kill a man, feed his corpse to a vulture, kill the vulture, eat said vulture, then see that soldier's ghost later one and have him scream "You ate me!", among other wacky and nuanced interactions found in the original? Only time will tell. And time has not be kind to konami.
Good catches. Don't forget Konami also has taken the ESG/DEI angle with Silent Hill, and them making Hayter blurt out the "modern audiences" buzzword sounds rather ominous.
I actually recently played the original, and the rope bridge (which you only cross twice) moved way too much. It's actually jarring how cartoonish it is, like the guards are supposed to not notice the bridge swaying around for no reason? It looks stupid and has been fixed. Same goes for lazily slapping noise into the postprocessing. Oh, some dogshit movie from 50 years ago looked like trash so we should strive to emulate it? That was always Kojima's weakest point - he loves cinema but does not understand cinema.
Great to hear them mention the master collection and that they're still working on addressing things like the resolution concerns - keen to see a patch soon.
Konami should make complete and total remakes of Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2. They should be called Metal Gear Solid: Outer Heaven and Metal Gear Solid: Zanzibar. This would allow for Solid Snake to remain the protagonist in 2 brand new MGS games. Have them only bare a passing resemblance to the original MSX games so they can be completely fresh for long-time fans.
I didnt expect the option to return to classic camera angles, Konami is doing things right. From reusing cutscenes and voices to syncing lips to english language this time. Heres to a long new line of MGS remakes, 1 and 2 next please. It feels good to be excited for a Metal Gear again.

@@MachFiveFalconmans gonna look like a burnt chicken nugget
Really refreshing to see someone own up to the fact their product (master collection) wasn't up to standards on release, and are continuing to update it.
Only real criticism I have for Delta is the lack of colour grading, it needs that look.
I heard we'll have the option to enable the original filter
I was actually surprised by that at all
What do you mean by color grading?
it would be nice to have a setting to switch on/off like the legacy gameplay
Hey, coming from Konami, it’s shocking they’d acknowledge that
I saw him in Dallas FanExpo and never have chance to meet him. Long lines and autographs are expensive. I’m happy that I saw him with my own eyes. Big MGS fan.

We need a remaster of mgs 4 and a remake of peace walker after delta
Ohh yess
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater
Metal Gear Solid Delta 2: Army’s Heaven (Portable Ops)
Metal Gear Solid Delta 3: Peace Walker
Metal Gear Solid Delta 4: The Phantom Pain
Metal Gear Solid Delta 5: Outer Heaven (MG MSX)
Metal Gear Solid Delta 6: Snake’s Revenge (but it’s based off Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake for the MSX)
Metal Gear Solid Delta 7: The Twin Snakes
Metal Gear Solid Delta 8: Sons Of Liberty
Metal Gear Solid Delta 9: Guns of The Patriots
Metal Gear Rising Delta: Revengeance
Just kidding of course lol
We need Portable Ops first.
Peace Walker would be an amazing remake
Honestly, I would rather MGS1 or MGS2 get remade. MGS4 still holds up really well, but MGS2's controls haven't held up very well.
I'm shocked at how well this is being handled. I legitimately have a lot of faith in these devs, and Okamura specifically seems to really understand the fans and what it takes to show them and the series respect. Thanks Konami! Never thought I'd say that
Genius marketing move… have the man himself narrate to us what’s to come. Kudos to Konami👏🏼

Basically, he’s saying if you want an MGS1, MGS2 and MGS4 remake…you need to buy this game.
I’m in.
or...MGS 6
@bes5164 I mean, MGS 4 concluded the series quite well, so I don't even know what they could do with a MGS 6.
I want a Metal Gear 1 + 2 remake.
@@izilladkilla
The Solid Snake story is over, MGS6 will 100% follow Big Boss’s (the real one) Journey to begin building Zanzibar Land or continue Venom Snake’s story since MGSV was left unfinished in its story.
@@BigManLaskey I feel like there is so much story potential in that decade gap between Phantom Pain and Venom's death in MG1. I'd love a whole game of Big Boss and Venom working together to build up Outer Heaven (and find out what happened to Diamond Dogs). Then the ending is a retelling of MG1 from Venom's perspective instead of Solid Snake's.
Or one of the tapes in MGS5 was potentially hinting at a prequel about The Boss and Zero losing a comrade in Egypt during WWII.
Konami is smart to have legacy and modern control schemes of the game. They will avoid the entire "it's too easy with modern controls" complaints of the Twin Snakes remake of MGS1.
It wasnt the controls that made twin snakes easy it was the failure to adapt the level design to the gameplay enhancements
@@KaitouKaiju
Yes, and thats my concern with Delta... If they update the controls but don't update the level designs, guards, AI, challenge, etc that will not be good probably ...but we dont know that much yet about that.
@@RaylanGivens123The thing that really broke Twin Snakes is first person aiming. Every MGS game after it had first person aiming from the start, so I don't think there's anything to worry about there.
Okay, so let me get this straight: it has the ORIGINAL (pre-subsistence) camera and the MGSV style camera, but not the subsistence one?
A bit of an oversight. I get some people may find that camera stiff nowadays, but its just what i'm used to playing MGS3 (along with MGS4 and Peace Walker) with.
Keeping all the original voices and the sound design is a major W
I have truly appreciate they are actually putting actual effort into making this very faithful to the original creator’s vision right down to the visuals, story, with very light changes to gameplay while having the option of old style and new style gameplay to choose from old fans and new comers something very rare to see in this day and age for remakes
DAVID HAYTER BEING SNAKE AGAIN IS THE BEST THING YOU DID KONAMI, Bring all the OG Voice Actors!!! ❤
Honestly getting a remake of Peace Walker would be incredible.
I would definitely give all my money to see that.
Among the fans, I feel Peace Walker is well appreciated. Among others, I feel like more need to know how great that game is!
They can release PO remake as expansion pack DLC story mode to Delta and release PW remake as it own game or release as second expansion pack story mode for Delta but I always saw PO as expansion story mode DLC to og MGS3
I want Twin Snakes in Volume 2. That game is so underrated. Hardly anyone has played it and it's stuck on GC.
@@siontimmy1I'd prefer them to be full releases.
@@WllKiedSnakeTS looked great, especially for its time but the cutscenes were too Americanized and over the top. Wish they would've kept them as they were. I fortunately still have a copy and a GC but it looks so washed out on an HD display.

Sooooo sooo sooo hyped! The interview with the producer was actually really great! It’s cool to see they really care, and very interesting how the remakes came to be.
I appreciate the honesty shown here by Okamura, both to the mistakes in the master collection and around prior and current staffing (however, it would feel more genuine if kojimas name didn't seem to be blacklisted)
So far the game looks incredible and it's looking like it may be exactly what I want.
Hoping for a good PC version with ultrawide support during gameplay and thoughtful controls (movement speed), unlimited refresh rate and native HDR.
So far, looks very promising.
In fairness that is outside of Okamura's control
Kojimas own fault, instead throwing money away just for the sake of hiring Hollywood actors who don't even fit the role, should have sticked with hayter. That moron kept getting rid of hayter since the beginning, but didn't replace the japanese voice actor. Hayter is as much the voice of snake for the world like the japanese one for Japan.
Even though I like playing kojimas new games, I still dislike that guy himself.
@@tayyarsungur4513 what do u mean he kept getting rid of him from the beginning? Hayter only missed one game.

"Delta is built... to achieve an unbelievable level of detail."
0:57 Shows MGS3 Snake on a rickety bridge, swaying along to his movements, offering a sense of weight and realism
Vs.
Delta Snake shuffling along the world's most rigid rope bridge, barely reacting to him. 🤔
3:35 Oh! We hawking merch now. The 70s spy thriller anti-nuclear analysis on war and politics now has preorder bonuses.....
_okay._
2:30 "Delta breathes new life into every cutscene with dynamic lighting, detailed facial animation, and improved sound design, yet it remains _completely_ faithful, shot-for-shot..."
I'm reminded of Masahiro Ito's tweet when Konami "updated" Silent Hill 2 and reduced/removed the fog:
"To show the enviroments 'clearly' is not necessarily good way."
The HALO jump scene, along with many others, illustrates the teams' efforts to modernize the game without retaining the original's aesthetics. The celluloid filter is removed, again ignoring the 70s filmic inspiration the original stived to emulate. It now looks too clear with synthetic white lighting added to every scene. "Completely faithful?" _Riiiiiiiight._
Nitpicks aside, I wait to see if Delta retains what made MGS3 unique: the layered systems that governed the environmental interactions.
@TodayNot Bingo!💯
It's great seeing Hayter again in official capacity, he deserves to be acknowledged for helping make the series popular overseas :D
I love how the background is various scenes in Delta.
Glad to see David Hayter involved in MGS again.
This is my childhood, and you are bringing it back. And with style!

Agreed
Konami should make complete and total remakes of Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2. They should be called Metal Gear Solid: Outer Heaven and Metal Gear Solid: Zanzibar. This would allow for Solid Snake to remain the protagonist in 2 brand new MGS games. Have them only bare a passing resemblance to the original MSX games so they can be completely fresh for long-time fans.
Came here for David Hayter, left pre-ordering the game. So good to see him back
I didnt expect the option to return to classic camera angles, Konami is doing things right. From reusing cutscenes and voices to syncing lips to english language this time. Heres to a long new line of MGS remakes, 1 and 2 next please. It feels good to be excited for a Metal Gear again.

I see a lot of complains about Silent Hill 2 remake... But hard to take them seriously when y'all been complaining about Silent Hill since 3
@@diegomedina9637I also complain about SH2 remake because it's for "modern audiences" and the too scripted voice acting when the original cast sounded like the characters sound; depressed, catatonic, paranoid etc. It was very organic but this is too performative and I dont trust Bloober and their record of inserting politics into their games.

I think we need a 'cutting edge' remake of Rising, too.
It not getting a sequel is a tragedy on it's own, ending at the point when Raiden sets off to fight his own war.
Rising has aged very well, though. It doesn't need a remake.
