    Cheers David. Look forward to the remote testing. Stella looks like she’s enjoying herself.

      Yes, she was quite lazy. At one point she dropped a ball from the counter, but that was fortunately out of camera 🤣

    What leads are you using? I currently have SMA to TS9 pig tails, but it does not seat as well as yours in the M6.

      @RFShop  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Those are the A80TS9-174-150 leads we sell. Indeed, there are very bad versions out there, but we are very happy with our supplier’s quality and tolerance.

    I bought your MIMO antenna from you the other day. Arrived so quickly! Used today to livestream a funeral service. Made great improvement to signal and reduced latency somewhat.
    One problem I ran into twice was the m6 inexplicable lost all connection. Network status went to "searching". I restarted the M6 and it found a network and carried on working... do you have any ideas around that experience?
    Also wondering what app or website I can use to monitor more information about the internet connection like the band and signal strength in more detail? As this might help me when I position the antenna?
    Thank you for your helpful service the other day!

      Thanks for the feedback. I'm not a complete expert on the NightHawk, but what helps a lot is the Netgear Mobile App on your phone. If you connect the NightHawk through that App you do get a lot of specific information that can be used.

    Thanks. trying to get an M6 setup and worried i was gonna damage the connectors. Now if I can just figure out how to use the cellular / wifi offload feature. Way too complicated.

      @@RFShop my M6 using ATT 5g service has been rock solid. 50 down and 25 up plenty for what I need. Still haven’t set up antenna since have not needed for solid connection to the cellular network. Really happy with the setup. I did figure out how to use another internet connection for backhaul and may become useful at some point to bootleg off a neighbors connection.

    Hi David, you mentioned in an earlier video that if you were using just a single antenna you need to make sure you connect to the correct external port on the M6. Can you let us know which port is the right one

    How stable is your Nighthawk M6? I have found mine to be not stable when the default 5GHz Wifi is used. I found it to be much more stable when Wifi is set to only 2.4GHz instead.

    Hi I just bought a Nighthawk M6 and I been when I was doing a livestream true my iPhone the device got over heated and and then just stopped working. Can someone please tell me why is doing this?

    • @RFShop
      @RFShop  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would say it's the plastic and there's no air flow. It does depend on the demand on the internal electroncs...since they are limited in how much processing they can cope with. Extra cooling would be a good idea. However, perhaps the setup requirements a more professional solution (such as the Teltonika's)

      I believe you should remove the battery and use AC power instead

  • @dugsbugs1

    Interesting you restart the M6 after connecting.
    I have an M5 with MIMO antenna for mobile streaming and I will definitely try that trick.
    All the videos I have seen on the MIMO is that it can work in a basement of a building however I find it needs unobstructed signal from the tower.
    I did a speed test recently on 2 sides of a building pointing in the same direction.
    One side was getting 5-10 upload while the other side got 30-50
    What are your thoughts on this.

    • @RFShop
      @RFShop  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Feels like a cop-out on my end, but I think I don't really know.
      I've seen the upload speeds improve when the parameters improve (such as RSRQ and SNR) so it would probably be good to get an understanding on how those measurements change depending on the location. There could be (pure speculation) reflections, obstructions or even noise sources on one end and not on the other. Or the tower connected to is on the "other" side of the building.

    • @dugsbugs1
      @dugsbugs1 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@RFShop Thanks.
      It is a work in progress.
      It is different with every venue. I have the app to locate the best tower first so that's about all I can do.
      I also have a yagi to go on a 6m pole but it isn't as practical to set up quickly.

    @rfshop - does the external antenna matter which service provider you use? I am supposed to get my M6 Pro tomorrow. I'm on FirstNet which is part of AT&T. The device will stay in a steel pole barn, and I want to be sure Im buying the right external antenna. Or does that not matter and just get any MIMO antenna with a TS-9 port? Thanks for the help!

    • @RFShop
      @RFShop  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Apologies for the late response. The antennas we select are quite wideband, with the specific goal to cover all frequencies in the 4G and Sub-6 5G bands. The only problem would be using a Yagi antenna, which is narrow band and will not work everywhere and on all networks...hence why I prefer Log Periodic Dipole Arrays (LPDA) over Yagi's if that's the type of antenna someone prefers. However, all Poynting Antenna producs will work for all US network operators.

    Si puo' aumentare che tu sappia la portata del wifi con dispositivi mesh wifi6?

    • @RFShop
      @RFShop  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Question is, can you increase the speed of the WiFi by adding a WiFi 6 mesh system.
      If your mesh system can connect to the Ethernet port, then your bottleneck will no longer be the WiFi but the Ethernet port...so in principle that is indeed the way to improve the speeds on the output. You can also look for a mesh solution with better WiFi coverage, so the range and speeds could be improved that way. Do remember though that the speeds will only be as fast as the weakest link. If you have a 10Mbps internet connection the WiFi won't make that any faster.

    Thank u Sir Are u going to be selling The #NightHawk M6 At your Shop ?

    • @RFShop
      @RFShop  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good question. Problem is Telstra sells it as part of their bundles, and we don't really want to (or can) compete with those solutions. However, we can always get them in, since one of our suppliers here in Adelaide sells them direct to places like ours. If someone needs one but don't want to buy thru Telstra we can help
